Quieter location overlooking the river. We stayed in a spacious balcony room with river views. Minutes walk from the bars, restaurants and stalls of Rambuttri Village (good) and Khao San Road (not so good). Clean and well serviced. All the staff are exxtremely friendly helpful. The pool was great for cooling off in and relaxing arpund following sightseeing although the poolbar service was slow. Overall though, highly recommended.

Myself, my husband and our friends stayed here at the beginning of February. Because this was my husbands and mine 3rd stay here, we knew what to expect. However, we were greated by the amazing front of house staff and the manager came out and welcomed us back, a nice little touch. We stayed in the deluxe riva room, our friends had the premium riva room. The only difference is the extra sofa and table. For how little we were in the room, the extra space was not needed I felt, but it was a nice touch. The breakfast here is fabulous. Such a great buffet and options. The beds are comfortable, and the location is superb. We will not hesitate to stay here for our fourth stay next year. Thank you Riva Surya!

Meet some friends for a short trip there. The hotel was nice but not the special place I was hoping for. It is situated nicely on the river with some great views of the boat traffic. Which can also be a problem as the party boats can be very loud. Checking in was a great experience and we received some great Asian hospitality. The room was very pleasant and overlooking the river. More of a tourists hotel rather then Asian influenced. The breakfast was a bit weaker compared to most of the other Hotels we visited while in Thailand. It was still nice. A small dining area next to the weather is very pleasant. The pool is also overlooking the river. The pool area is quite small and there is no privacy next to the pool. When going to the restaurant or just looking at the pool one can see all visitors of the pool. Overall nice but missing the Asian feel.

Fabulous helpful staff & one of the food/drinks girls Bom was delightful. The staff didn't seem to mind me wittering in my "Manc" accent. We needed a taxi one day & the staff hailed one for us & gave the driver instructions to our destination.

My room was clean and spacious with a great river view. The pool is pleasant though not big. Staff are polite a eager to please. The location is fine but some way from the main sights. Fortunately taxis are cheap, though not all the drivers know the place, and the river boats, which stop close by, are even cheaper. It's close to the Khorsan Road, home of backpacker hotels, with its lively night life, and loads of reasonably priced restaurants, bars and street food. The hotel breakfast lets it down badly - just a small selection of Western dishes - not very well cooked, never more than warm, and virtually no Asian options - a sad contrast with all the other hotels we stayed in on our holiday.
