We booked a 2 night stay prior to embarking on a tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. Most things about the hotel we could not praise highly enough. It is in a great location. It stands on the river with easy access to the hop on / hop off boat service, It is only a short distance from at least two street markets and many local restaurants, bars and shops etc. There are also many sites of historical interest within easy distance. Our room was spacious, comfortable and extremely well appointed. Urban (road side) rooms are noisy though. Much quieter on the river side The buffet breakfast was good as were the lunches and dinners. We found the food to be excellent and not too expensive. There is a good swimming pool. The edge was taken off things, however, by a number of service issues. We had to wait over an hour for our room to be ready on arrival and could not organise a late check out. Service in the restaurant and bar was poor with mIstaken orders, long waits and inability to get bills. Twice we walked out and asked reception to sort the bills out. As a shame because, otherwise, we would have given a 5 star rating.

This is a beautiful hotel sitting right on the river. It's so fun to look out at the busy river traffic. The rooms are so very spacious and comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and so very gracious. We loved having Happy Hour around the pool and meals at Babble and Rum. I can't wait to go back!

Started our visit to southeast Asia with a short stay in Bangkok to recover from the long flight. Our tour company, Journeys Within, booked this hotel for us. Really nice property with a pool, bar, restaurant and terrace right on the endlessly busy river The room and bath were very comfortable. I particularly like the bathroom's glass panel walls which made it less cave like than the average. There was a generous deck as well. The restaurant was quite good; Happy Hour running concurrently with dinner didn't hurt either. The breakfast buffet was, hands down, the best I have ever seen: local hot dishes, fruit, pastries plus and omlete/waffle bar. This hotel is in the Banglamphu, old city area. There is night life by near by in the backpackers area, bars, music, street market, more tourists than locals. There is a river taxi stop a few doors up. It is close to the main tourist attractions as well. The river walk is right out front.

The hotel is very nice located a bit outside of the main part of Bangkok but easily accessible by tuk tuk. Hotel is right on the river giving the pool/dining area nice views during the day and night. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very attentive to our needs.
