Riva Surya

I originally planned to stay 4 nights at Riva Surya but ended up staying 15 days. The service and kindness of the all staff, reception,housecleaning and restaurant was consistently outstanding. Wonderful breakfast buffet also. The location right on the river,steps away from Phra Arthit pier,was so convenient. Without a doubt I will return to this property.

I recently stayed at Riva Surya Bangkok and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The hotel is in a fantastic location right on the river, with a river boat stop just a minute or two away, making it easy to explore Bangkok. There is also a 7-Eleven within walking distance, which was very convenient. The staff were welcoming and provided excellent service throughout my stay. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely balcony overlooking the river. Watching the boats go by was a real highlight. I ate at the hotel restaurant for both breakfast and dinner on several occasions and was impressed by the quality of the food. The breakfasts offered a good selection, and the evening meals were consistently enjoyable. One thing to be aware of is that the river remains active throughout the day and night, so there is some noise from passing boats. This did not bother me at all, but guests who are particularly sensitive to noise may wish to take this into consideration. My only suggestion for improvement would be the appearance of the top-floor lobby area. During my stay, several spare beds were being stored there, which slightly detracted from the otherwise polished feel of the hotel. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay and would happily recommend Riva Surya to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel with great service and beautiful river views.

The Riva Surya is a quite and relaxing hotel with nice view on The Chao Phraya River in old town Bangkok. I really enjoyed the well prepared and tasty food in the restaurant. The staff was always careing and helpful.

Beautifully designed boutique hotel with a chic, aesthetic feel. Excellent proximity to the ferry made getting around very convenient, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. A comfortable and well-located stay overall.

Our stay at Riva Surya Bangkok on 14 May was excellent. We stayed in a River View Balcony Room and were extremely satisfied with the hotel, especially the outstanding staff service, great location, and wonderful surrounding environment. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Bangkok. A special note regarding booking platforms — next time I will book directly through the hotel’s official website instead of Agoda. Before departure, I had booked a river view room via Agoda, but upon check-in the hotel informed us that the agent had only reserved a city view room. When I contacted Agoda online, they requested an extra charge to change to a river view room. The hotel staff kindly explained that this was not the first time such an issue had happened with Agoda bookings, and that the hotel no longer has a direct partnership with Agoda. Agoda only displays the hotel on its platform and bookings are handled through third-party agents. In the end, the hotel understood our situation and generously upgraded us to a river view room free of charge to make up for the inconvenience and stress caused. We truly appreciate the hotel’s sincere and unconditional arrangement.
