Riva Surya

We had an amazing stay at the Riva Surya Bangkok. The location of the hotel on the river is perfect with the restaurant and pool overlooking it. The rooms, were large and spacious and incredibly clean. The food and service in both the hotel and restaurant was second to none. A special shout out to Piaow, who was a star!

I had such an amazing stay at Riva Surya Bangkok, everything about it just felt elevated in the best way. The room was absolutely beautiful, super clean, well organized, and having a washer in the room was such a game changer while traveling. The pool area was one of my favourite parts, it overlooks the river and is just such a peaceful, stunning place to relax after a day exploring Bangkok. The breakfast buffet was honestly next level, with so many great options and everything tasting fresh and high quality. I also had dinner at the hotel and it was incredible, such an elegant atmosphere and the food was unreal. I had the lobster and the pulled pork wraps and they were both phenomenal. On top of all that, the location is perfect and the whole experience just felt really special. I’d 100% stay here again 🤍

Our second time at the Rva Surya. Again a very good experience. Nice facility right at the riverside. Very friendly staff everywhere. Especially Piawo from the reception with her friendly smile lights up your day.

We stayed at Riva Surya Bangkok for 3 nights in February and had a wonderful experience. The location is ideal—close to the river, nightlife, and restaurants, yet far enough away to avoid crowds and noise, making it a great area to explore on foot. We stayed in the Premium Riva Room (river view with balcony), which was very spacious and offered fantastic views of the river. We didn’t book breakfast, but we did eat in the hotel restaurant one late afternoon, which was definitely a highlight and got a glimpse of the lovely sunset as we ate. Special mention goes to the garlic prawns from their tapas menu—hands down the best we’ve ever had, even surpassing those we’ve enjoyed in Spain! The pool area is pleasant and a nice spot to relax in. Not a lot of loungers and only a few that looked like they would catch the sun for a lot of the day but as that wasn't the reason for our stay this time, it didn't bother us. While the hotel isn’t directly on public transport links, this is due to the area and was our choice. There were plenty of tuk-tuks nearby, and Grab or street taxis were easy to use. On departure day, the hotel arranged a taxi to the airport, which arrived promptly. Overall, Riva Surya Bangkok offers a fantastic mix of location, comfort, excellent food, and welcoming staff—highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again.

First stop on our honeymoon in Thailand and this place was incredible! They welcomed up with fruit and wine for our stay and the room was super clean with amazing AC and very comfortable beds! A great walkable location with lots of dining and bars nearby and it’s on the river so the view was incredible! They also have a nice restaurant and pool on site. It was easy to catch taxis and grabs right outside the hotel and the staff was amazing!
