Tower Club at lebua in Bangkok, Thailand

Tower Club at lebua rises high above the colorful chaos and sensory overload of downtown Bangkok – it’s the city’s second-tallest building – and offers world-class accommodations in an unbeatable location. Sample delectable street-cart fare and immerse in local markets, then retreat to your sleek, minimalist suite 50 stories into the sky. The Tower Club’s centralized address right on the SkyTrain means Bangkok’s cultural attractions are all close by, but stay close come nightfall: There’s nowhere more glamorous to sip a martini than the SkyBar, called the “most stunning rooftop bar you’ll ever see” by The New York Times.

Start the day with fresh croissants baked by The Tower Club’s French pastry chef. Take a riverboat from Sathorn Pier to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the Grand Palace, a collection of colorful, gold-spired temples that date from 1782. Return to the hotel for afternoon tea or a glass of champagne and fresh strawberries on ice with crme Chantilly. Dive into a Mediterranean tasting menu at Sirocco as the lights of Bangkok cut through the dusk.

Very well located in the heart of Bangkok, the hotel is an excellent one. Large and clean rooms, amazing view form the balcony, all the needed amenities in the room. The whole staff is 100% professional and you can ask for any support you need. Very good breakfast, very good restaurants at the location. For sure I'll come back!

The rooms are very large, comfortable, with all amenities. Shower is amazing. The balcony is huge, with a lovely river view, if you choose that side. I have been in this hotel before the Hangover movie, and unfortunately, the Sky Bar is not the same. There is a pressure to order a £20 drink, and we have seen the waiters asking people to leave if they are not buying a drink. Therefore, Sky Bar now is a place where people fight to get a little space for a few photos, pay for an expensive drink and leave in the next 10 minutes. The breakfast is one of the best we had in Bangkok. Lots of varieties. The pool is quite small for this hotel size, and you don't get the sun for most part of the day. It didnt matter to us, as we were out and about, but if your focus is to spend time in the pool, I would choose another hotel. The reception area, due to this being a converted hotel from a State building, doesn't give you the feeling of arriving in a luxurious hotel.

While touring Vietnam we decided (a little by chance) to spend a couple of days on Bangkok. We searched for “the best hotels in Bangkok” Lebua was consistently listed. As it had the filming of Hangover 2 as a credit we diceided, why not! What amazed us the most and consistently through our stay was the incredible service we received. Others may speak of the food quality or features or some complaint, none of which I agree with, what really struck us was the incredibly hard working, pleasant, cheerful, respectful, WONDERFUL people we encountered. I will confess a latent “fear” of the city. (“Bangkok has him now....”) this was quickly dispelled due in no small part by the staff of Lebua! What a terrific two days. They truly made us feel like honored guests. I can safety say I can now recommend a visit to Bangkok as a result primarily from my encounter with the staff at Lebua. With regards to. The tower suites, the rooms were lovely! The amenities were over the top. Each night slippers placed at our bed side. Beautiful bedrooms and baths. Huge living areas (regret we didn’t use the much) Stunning balconies Fantastic breakfast (my wife, a dedicated “foodie” says it was the best buffet EVER!!) All inclusive. The famous Bars on the 63rd floor were a little over rated. They have become a bit a tourist attraction and very crowded at night. Lots of folks taking selfies etc. Drinks are prohibitively expensive. (One and done as a result). I appreciate the fact that as you return in the evening and are met with a huge queue to the roof top bars at the few elevators that the staff seeing your room key move you to the front. Most appreciated!! The bell staff and concierge were most enthusiastic about helping us find our way around town, recommending restaurants and giving excellent directions. The location is on the crossroads of two major streets. Most important: walking distance to the Central pier (river taxis to major sites) and the sky train terminal. Great location!!! All in all a great albeit brief stay. If we are able to return we will most definitely stay again. Again,.. loved the staff!!

After having stayed at about 15 different 5 star hotels in Bangkok over the past 10 years we decided to see what all the fuss about the Tower Club at Lebua is. A few days before our stay I was contacted by the concierge asking what time we would be arriving; 13:00. The reply was „thank you for your information. We are looking to welcoming you at our property“. We arrived at 13:00 and were greeted by a very eloquent French gentleman who informed us that our room would be ready at 14:00. I asked whether we could wait in the club lounge but were informed that since we were wearing flip flops (having arrived from the beach) we could not enter the lounge. I totally embrace the dress policy being enforced but I would have expected a solution to be offered such as „would you like to wait in the pool bar?“ „would you like to get some shoes out of your luggage?“ After have been forgotten by the receptionist we received a room upgrade at 14:30. fantastic suite on the 58 floor about 95 sqm two baths two balconies, breathtaking view, washing machine with dryer. The decor is a bit dated but totally fine and still nice. The gym has very good equipment if you are serious about fitness which we greatly appreciated. Checking out the club lounge we had mixed feelings. Drinks are very good (wines, cocktails and long drinks) and you are offered refills constantly; food is mediocre and more on the snacks side. The nice thing is that alcoholic beverages are served throughout the day and not just at evening cocktail hours like in most other hotels. The view from the lounge is amazing and there is also outside seating. Unfortunately the lounge is absolutely packed and you may have to wait outside before getting a table which I have never Experienced before. Furthermore, while being strict about the dress code the staff were too polite to have a word with some guests with three toddlers who were running around the lounge in diapers screaming and disturbing everyone. Normally one would expect parents to have the decency to manage such a situation which brings me to my main criticism of this hotel: the hotel is full of vacationers who want to spend 1 or 2 nights at the „hangover hotel“ making it very mass- tourismy. The hotel is HUGE so considering the turnover, type of crowd (oh yeah I forgot the stag party people) and amount of rooms (even club rooms) there is just no possibility to offer 5-star service. Breakfast has an amazing selection (continental, Arab, Indian, Japanese, Chinese etc) but after waiting on line for a table and then being offered either a table with cushions instead of chairs or a table in the smoking area (the best tables are smoking tables????) your appetite may be impaired. The cappuccino, fresh watermelon juice, Parmesan wheels and made upon request eggs Benedict did however make for an amazing breakfast. We did visit the sky bar (hangover bar) which is basically full of people taking selfies but has no vibe - maybe because there is no music. Due to the lack of atmosphere and the fact that we paid 60€ for two Gin & tonics we stayed less than an hour.... Upon checkout I realized that they had taken a security deposit of 600€ which in my opinion is a ridiculous amount for a two night stay but OK. Had I realized this I would have paid the room in advance and given them a 50€ deposit. We initially only booked two nights at tower club to see how we like it and then extend our stay if we do. We found it too chaotic and decided to move to the millennium Hilton where we have been before and know that service is 100% The hotels concierge organized a taxi for us upon checkout; it was quite chaotic due to all the people checking out at 12:00 and we had to wait a while. We get in the cab and the concierge asks for our room number to write down and I assume also notes taxis drivers license plate. Despite this very smart precaution upon leaving the hotel drive way our cab driver tells us his meter is broken and he wants 200 baht for a ride which should cost around 60 baht. We did not accept this leading us to have to switch taxis on the freeway. In my opinion whether the taxi will drive by meter is something that the concierge should check so that specially first time visitors to Bangkok don’t get ripped off. All in all - the hotel is living from the hangover movie hype. The views from the tower club rooms and the club lounge are spectacular and the lounge is very generous with drinks but that is the only “luxury” this hotel has to offer but I think that’s OK considering the fairly low prices they are asking for currently. Don’t come here if you are expecting a personalized 5-star experience of the kind you would get at a hyatt, sofitel etc.

The hotel is close to shops, ferries and restaurants. The skytrain is a little further but still walkable. After staying here I will not be able to stay anywhere else in Bangkok. I was spoiled! We were on the 57th floor and had an amazing view. The higher levels are a bit more BUT completely worth it. Breakfast buffet is included and you get the perk of light snacks and tea/drinks until 6pm everyday. The staff was so nice and polite. The room was clean, big, comfy beds and perfect size bathroom. In a way it feels like home. I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone.
