Excellent Service and StaffVisited here a week ago, it was amazing, everyone was so friendly and welcoming, excellent food, staff go out of there way to please their guests. It was so lovely did not want to leave. Visited 4 hotels during our stay in Tuscany and this was definitely the best.

Beautifully restored villaGot a great deal for myself, my wife, my son, daughter in law and one year old granddaughter for two suites for a week. Worked out a treat. The hotel is spectacular and the staff very helpful. The food is good but quite expensive, but there are plenty of excellent authentic restaurants in the neighbourhood. I would say that you really do a need the use of a car if you are staying here.

Beautiful Setting and Fantastic ServiceWe had a lovely time at the Villa Le Maschere. The service was excellent and the grounds are beautiful. There is one restaurant in walking distance but otherwise you are quite secluded. The shuttle to Florence every day is very convienent or renting a car to tour the area is a really nice option. Overall we had a great stay - the spa was just ok but the lodging and cuisine was very nice.
Located in the Tuscan countryside, just a short ride from Florence, sits the fashionable Villa Le Maschere. Its stately exterior and luxury status comes from a mélange of centuries-old tradition and cutting-edge hospitality. The building dates back to the 18th century and its architectural features - the stunning frescoes and Venetian plaster - are proof positive. Inside, a new day has dawned with a collection of modern furnishings designed and produced on Italian soil. There are 65 minimalist-style guest rooms that rest beneath hand-painted ceilings, housed in either the Chini Pavilion or the main villa. Crisp color schemes are infused with bold splashes of red, sage, eggplant and ebony, and billowy fabrics frame canopied beds and windows. Bathrooms are cloaked in cool Italian marble and outfitted with large and inviting soaking tubs. Public spaces are equally striking with ultra modern embellishments.
Italy is known for its stunning gardens, and Villa Le Maschere is no exception. A sweeping staircase leads from the terrace down to sprawling park-like grounds, where a pair of swimming pools provide a refreshing escape on warm seasonal days. There is a delightful restaurant where elegant buffets are laid out for guests to enjoy a leisurely meal. The intimate bar is a place to retreat in the evening for an aperitif and conversation. Villa Le Maschere is near Lago di Bilancino as well as the small village of Barberino di Mugello. You can also spend the day in Florence scouring the many renowned museums, piazzas and public markets - or seek out a lush vineyard for an Italian-style picnic. For a revival of tradition with a contemporary twist, experience Villa Le Maschere.
