It’s afterhours, you’re sipping a cocktail, and a Roman mosaic from the second century is begging closer study – Claris Hotel makes a museum experience available 24 hours a day, thanks to an expansive art collection that ranges from Victorian furniture to Turkish kilims to etchings by modern Catalan painter Josep Guinovart. The ground floor museum showcases pieces from Jordi Clos Archaeological Foundation’s private collection, while Napoleon leaves his mark with several drawings he commissioned. Another way this hotel channels a museum: Peace and quiet pervades the hallways, which guarantees a good night’s sleep.

Beautiful hotel with a wonderful pool and rooftop bar restaurant. Delicious cocktails, and food. Wonderful location great for walking very close to the Sagrada Familia and other points of interest. Staff was fabulous, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend a stay here.

The hotel is nice and rooms are nicely decorated but not functional. Only 2 usb charging ports on one side of bed. The couch is very low and huge so not comfortable to sit in but would be a nice place to sleep. Tue bathroom is large but I hate rainfall showers. Suppose to have a rose in room daily but we had a vase with water and no rose. Location is decent but overall I would not recommend it.

Very grateful to Mayo and Eric, the hotel’s concierges! They were able to secure difficult tickets for my family and I 😊 Thank you gentlemen!

My family and I waited two whole years for this trip. A lot of strategic planning went into carefully selecting the right hotel, transportation, etc. because I have a mobility scooter. When we arrived, we were checked in by a front desk agent in training. No problem, however, I was placed in a room that was literally impossible to get my mobility scooter in the room without actually having to pick it up and carry it. Since I recently had emergency surgery, that was not possible, so I had to have my son who was staying a few doors down, come and help his brother carry the scooter in and out of the room everytime I needed to leave. Such an inconvenience, especially for a 5 star hotel when they have other floorplans that were much more easier to navigate. When I went down stairs and reported the issue, I had to explain myself four separate times before the rude front desk agent said, we can store it downstairs in the luggage room for you. Thank you but no thank you as this is not something I trust anyone with. This is literally the only method I have to get around, so I am not leaving the care of my scooter nor the responsibility to charge it to someone else. Then it was time to take a shower. As I said, I am a customer with mobility issues. So, the use of the room shower was impossible and getting in the very high tub was extremely worst. So, I had to improvise, something a customer should never have to do. Then when my son went up to the roof top to enjoy the food he bought, he was told he had to leave and given the reason that no otherwise food is allowed at the roof top. We did not see no signs saying no otherwise food and were not told this. So, in other words, if you want to enjoy the view at roof top, either you have to buy their food or nothing at all regardless if you are a paying customer staying in their hotel. Lastly, the invasion of privacy was appalling. While laying in the room relaxing and while my son was in the shower, the housekeeping attendant just walked in the room with two chocolates and a rose. When she noticed I was in the room she apologized for entering while laughing and contined doing what she came in to do which was to drop off a rose and two chocolates. When she noticed there was no vase for the rose, she opened the bathroom door and walked right in the bathroom to look for a vase while my son was naked and showering. The audacity to just violate someone's privacy! In all the 30 years I have been traveling, this never ever happened, but to happen at a 5 star luxury hotel is crazy!!!! On that note, I definitely will be contacting Hilton Corporate office directly. The violation of privacy and lack of accessibility is something I feel they should be made aware of.

We had a wonderful 5 nights at the Hotel Claris in Barcelona and enjoyed every minute of it...The staff went out of their way to tend to our every need. The service they showed far surpassed the service I have experienced at many five-star hotels. I would highly recommend this hotel!
