Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona

The hotel is located in the Diagonal Mar area, which is not in the center of Barcelona, but a couple of minutes walk from the metro station, which connects you everywhere. On the other side of the road there is the famous large Diagonal Mar shopping center, also with many restaurants of all types and prices. The building is large, tall and modern, with 4 quick elevators. The area is relatively quiet, which I guess is even more emphasized on the higher floors. The room was big and quiet, with a quiet fridge and lots of storage space. If you have a room with a sea view – good for you! You may have the chance to take pictures of a beautiful sunrise. There was a mixture of plywood floor and a carpet. A rich breakfast was served on floor 1, though sometimes it was really busy with a bit of waiting for entering. It happened to me twice that I was assigned a free table, just to find it occupied after I came back with food. The receptionists were very helpful. I must mention Xavi and Valentina that seemed to do their best to help despite my many questions and requests. There were no bottles of water supplied to the room (a small thing that could make a big difference). There was something about the back of the bed which made occasional loud "clicks" after leaning on it. Also, during daytime there was a remote construction noise.

Business trip stayed for 3 nights whilst attending a congress at the congress centre around the corner. It took less than 5 minutes to get to each building so very convenient. Bedrooms were comfortable and a great size, and breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. The only negative was time it took to check in, however staff were all very helpful. The bar on the 13th floor had amazing views and was lovely for drinks and tapas. Great staff. Would definitely stay here again especially as a single female.

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at the hotel a couple of times a year. While being in a solo break. Usually when I’m coming to the city to run the Marathon or Half Marathon. I’ve just spend two nights at the Hilton Diagonal Mar during the stay for the Barcelona Marathon. The hotel its self is fantastic, lovely location so close to the beach and quick and easy metro links into the city and further connections to the airport. The rooms are very modern, huge tv and one side has a fantastic view of the Mediterranean Sea. The staff here are amazing. Although I have stayed here a couple of times per year. Several staff always give me a warm returning welcome. Especially David who works In the executive lounge. He always welcomes me back as an old friend. He has always spent time talking to me about running as well as recommending other cities to visit within Europe. His interactions always feel’s genuine and not forced at all. I always looking forward to chatting him when I return.

I was lucky to return to my favorite hotel in Barcelona also known as the Hilton Diagonal Mar. As always we were welcomed with a smile, and the check in was smooth and efficient. Fortunately our rooms were ready, so we went upstairs by elevator and the luggage was quickly brought to the rooms. The executive rooms appear fresh and accommodating after refurbishment. The beautiful executive lounge was previously located at the 15th floor with an amazing seaview. Now it's temporarily located at the 1st floor adjacent to the restaurant, and it works. The bar is relocated to the 15th floor with a new concept of interior and decorations. We enjoyed a few drinks served by our well known barman David. He's keeping up appearances for the bar and himself. There's an ongoing comprehensive transformation of the hotel "The Metamorphosis". The teammembers were well informed and proud of the ongoing change. We will have to come back to experience "The Metamorphosis" in about two years. The teammembers, supervisors and managers obviously are experinced and willing to go the extra mile to accomodate guests providing good service. We had a wonderful stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was a short but memorable getaway with my husband and our son. The executive lounge was fantastic, offering a great selection of drinks and delicious food. Our room was spotless and beautifully appointed, with a stunning sea view that made our stay even more special. We truly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!
