With its enviable location on the illustrious Paseo de Gracia - an avenue lined with some of the city's finest shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions - this urban oasis features 275 rooms, all of which were fully renovated in 2012. Reflecting the hotel's attention to even the smallest details, your room promises a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, replete with an elegant marble bathroom, espresso maker, and evening turndown service. This is one of the finest hotels in the world and I've stayed in some pretty good ones such as Grand Borromeo in Lago Maggiore. This place is so good you could treat it as a destination and not even Venture forth into the City and still have an amazing time the Rooftop Bar the drinks the food the spaciousness and luxury of the bedroom comfort of the bed dinner at the restaurant is world class the breakfast buffet is to die for take advantage of the free 1 hour in the Wellness Center do some swimming and use the jacuzzi and relaxation room staff is well-trained and Incredibly professional room service was phenomenal for breakfast the day I left sadly too early because I could only get an early train so wonderful to have a full size bathtub the toiletries were exceptional also go here without reservation the value is incredible

We made multiple requests to have our room serviced. Despite promises it took hours, preventing us from relaxing in the room. We were given platitudes, but no recompense. Service in the bars and restaurants was generally slow and sometimes inaccurate. There were multiple noisy, uncontrolled children running around public areas, where we were trying to relax. We have had much better experiences at more cost effective hotels in Barcelona in the past. Should we stay again in Barcelona, it will not be at the Majestic.

I think we can all agree: Nobody wants to get sick when they’re away from home. But, Sick happens. Earlier this year, on May 14, my wife and I checked into the Hotel Majestic in Barcelona, one of our favourite cities, three days before we are scheduled to board a Seabourn cruise to Portugal, France and the British Isles. We love Barcelona. We wish we could stay a week. But three days is better than nothing! Two days later we awake to a mysterious viral infection that knocks both of us off our feet – and unable to leave our hotel room (especially the bathroom.) We’re sure this too will pass. It doesn’t. We are forced to cancel our Seabourn cruise and camp out in our hotel room. Guest Services staff at Hotel Majestic swing into overdrive. They set up a house call from a MedVisit physician, making sure we know and approve the costs involved. When doctors hand us prescriptions, Majestic hotel staff deliver those prescriptions to the Farmacia, wait for them to be filled, and then bring them back to us. Hotel Majestic Room Service waiters and Housekeeping staff become our new best friends. On Sunday May 25 we arrive home – and take two more weeks to fully recover. We have just been in Barcelona – a city we truly love – for 10 days, 8 of which have been spent confined to our hotel room. And we are so grateful that our room was at Hotel Majestic. Because the staff was superb. Whenever we called for assistance, Maria always answered. When we couldn’t reach MedVisit, Manu at the Front Desk reached them for us. When we needed yet another prescription filled, Aram came to our rescue. So did Adrian, Daniel, José and Manuel. And Room Service chief Jack and his trainee Christian. And all of Housekeeping. But especially the maids, who always rose to the challenge. Which was considerable. We always wanted to spend 10 days in Barcelona -- just not this way. But the brilliant team at Hotel Majestic helped us make the best of it. And the best of it, thanks to them, was very good indeed.
