From breakfast to rooftop – two exceptional experiences, one remarkable standard of hospitality During our stay in Barcelona, we had the pleasure of experiencing the Majestic Hotel at two particularly memorable moments: first at breakfast, and later at La Dolce Vitae rooftop terrace. Both experiences were exceptional in their own way and, above all, demonstrated a remarkable consistency in quality, hospitality and genuinely attentive service. Breakfast – quality, variety and service with personality Breakfast at the Majestic is far more than an extensive hotel buffet. The selection is generous and beautifully presented, complemented by freshly prepared dishes from the cooking station and a range of breakfast specials. Eggs Benedict, freshly prepared egg dishes, French toast and international options add a level of individuality that clearly goes beyond the usual five-star breakfast routine. What made the experience particularly memorable, however, was the service. Dani deserves a special mention for his attentive, warm and extremely professional manner. His presence was discreet but constant, and he contributed significantly to the feeling of being genuinely looked after rather than simply served. Álvaro deserves equal recognition in his own right. His natural friendliness, attentiveness and personal approach added another very positive dimension to the breakfast experience. Both gentlemen have different personalities, but each represents hospitality at a level that suits a hotel of this standing remarkably well. La Dolce Vitae – one of the highlights of our Barcelona stay Later that day, we visited La Dolce Vitae, the Majestic’s rooftop terrace. What initially began as another stop during our stay quickly became one of those experiences you remember long afterwards. The setting itself is exceptional: relaxed music, an elegant atmosphere and magnificent views across Barcelona. We were given a particularly beautiful table and immediately felt welcome. The food was a genuine surprise in the best possible sense. This is not a rooftop that relies solely on its location and view; the culinary offering deserves attention in its own right. The dishes were very well executed, and the wine proved to be an equally excellent choice. Taken together, food, wine, atmosphere and service created a remarkably complete experience. A very special thank-you goes to Claire. She looked after us with an unusual combination of professionalism, warmth and humour. Her recommendations were excellent, her timing was natural and unobtrusive, and she managed to make the evening feel personal without ever becoming overly familiar. That balance is difficult to achieve and is one of the clearest signs of genuinely accomplished hospitality. We enjoyed the rooftop so much that we returned again later the same evening. Even a little rain did nothing to diminish the atmosphere. Once again, the service was excellent, and the second visit only confirmed the impression we had already gained earlier. For hotel management, experiences like these should also be reassuring: a great property ultimately depends on the people representing it every day. With employees such as Dani, Álvaro and Claire, the Majestic has professionals on whom it can clearly rely. From breakfast in the morning to food, wine and drinks above the rooftops of Barcelona, both experiences left us with exactly the same impression: This is hospitality with substance, personality and genuine warmth. We will remember both experiences very fondly and would return without hesitation.

Locate right in the middle of everything. Super friendly staff. There was an error on room assignment at first, but the manager made things right upgrading us to a nice room. Rooftop views are incredible. A very pleasant stay!

Be careful which room you are allocated….some are very dark. I had to work in the bar area as the lights in the room did not even help. I did advise reception and they agreed with me……strange. Apart from that a good location, nice outlets and spa.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was excellent, from the beautiful location and atmosphere to the comfort and quality of the rooms. A special thank you to the entire team for their kindness, professionalism and excellent service. Everyone was welcoming, attentive and always ready to help. I truly appreciated the warm hospitality and felt very well taken care of throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back again.
