Ohla Eixample

We stayed her three years ago and chose to return to Ohla Eixample again. This is a beautiful hotel in an ideal location. The rooms are well laid out, the beds/sheets very comfortable and very clean. House keeping staff is friendly and make sure you have everything you need. After a day of sightseeing, spending time in the rooftop pool is a perfect way to cool off before going to dinner. The staff is attentive, friendly and professional and pay attention making your stay as comfortable as possible. They spend time getting to know you and making connections with you to make your stay memorable. The breakfast has a variety of food options and is well presented. I would highly recommend this hotel for your next trip to Barcelona.

A great hotel in a lovely area. Our room was a really good size, with a good shower area. Igor on reception was a stand out staff member - helpful and some good tips on where to eat. The rooftop pool and bar was a welcome addition for a little sun worshipping and early evening drinks. We would definitely return.

As soon as our driver pulled up to this hotel, I was impressed. Great location and very attractive exterior. The lobby had a very “hip” appearance with great ambience. The staff and service there were excellent: friendly, helpful, professional. Igor, who checked us in, was very generous with his time, showing us on a map he provided us various locations and how to get there, which was super helpful. The rooms are minimalistic, which also has its own “cool” appearance, but initially, we couldn’t find the toilet in our room. Of course, it was there, but it was behind what appeared to be a flat section of the wall. So, it was separate from the rest of the “bathroom,” the tub, sink, and shower, which were at one end of the bedroom-a kind of open floor plan, which, for us, was fine. 2 concerns of note that we discussed with staff, and were told they are aware of and will be working on: the doors into the room and the bathroom door are very heavy. Also, there was some problem with the lighting in our room as we couldn’t turn the light on in the toilet area without turning all the lights on in our room. We were provided a small lamp to put in our bathroom during our stay, so that helped but was not ideal. Breakfast was included with our room rate and it was excellent and very extensive, which was available in the restaurant on the lobby level. Beautifully displayed for self serve, but with service for omelettes. All you can eat! Even offering champagne with a variety of juices. There is a bar in the lobby as well, but not sure it is fully open yet. I would definitely go back there, but would need to know that the lighting issue, in particular, had been resolved in some way. I believe from talking with others who were staying there, that our lighting problem may have been unique to our room.

Cannot fault our stay here at all. We were in the standard room which was excellent. Clean, spacious, modern. The rooftop pool is a lovely peaceful area to unwind and enjoy the views of the city. The breakfast is fantastic, fresh and varied. The staff have all been incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent with cafes, restaurants and shops on the doorstep. The metro is outside the hotel and within a 5 minute direct trip you are down at Las Ramblas and the waterfront, although everything is walkable. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough.

Fantastic hotel in an excellent location within Eixample. we had such an enjoyable stay during our trip to Barcelona in September. We arrived in the morning from a very early flight no expecting our room to be ready for another few hours and were delighted to hear we were able to get into our room! We stayed in a penthouse suite with terrace which was perfect, located on the 8th floor below the rooftop pool with a large private terrace where we enjoyed our morning coffee before a busy day. The room was well laid out and well equipped with all you need. Bottled water replenished daily, nespresso coffee machine and mini fridge all very handy. Air con was brilliant and very much appreciated after some very hot afternoons exploring! Comfortable bed and linens - we requested a mattress topper and extra pillows while we were out for dinner on our first evening and these were there for us returning to the room. Staff were all very friendly and helpful during our stay. We loved the location, surrounded by lovely coffee shops, bakeries & wonderful restaurants. We enjoyed walking to all the nearby tourist spots during the day and looked forward to returning to our room to recharge and relax! We enjoyed the rooftop pool on our last morning in the city before leaving for the airport after checkout at 12pm- an all round perfect trip made special by choosing this great hotel! We would absolutely stay at this hotel again. 100% recommend!
