Ohla Eixample

Fantastic hotel in an excellent location within Eixample. we had such an enjoyable stay during our trip to Barcelona in September. We arrived in the morning from a very early flight no expecting our room to be ready for another few hours and were delighted to hear we were able to get into our room! We stayed in a penthouse suite with terrace which was perfect, located on the 8th floor below the rooftop pool with a large private terrace where we enjoyed our morning coffee before a busy day. The room was well laid out and well equipped with all you need. Bottled water replenished daily, nespresso coffee machine and mini fridge all very handy. Air con was brilliant and very much appreciated after some very hot afternoons exploring! Comfortable bed and linens - we requested a mattress topper and extra pillows while we were out for dinner on our first evening and these were there for us returning to the room. Staff were all very friendly and helpful during our stay. We loved the location, surrounded by lovely coffee shops, bakeries & wonderful restaurants. We enjoyed walking to all the nearby tourist spots during the day and looked forward to returning to our room to recharge and relax! We enjoyed the rooftop pool on our last morning in the city before leaving for the airport after checkout at 12pm- an all round perfect trip made special by choosing this great hotel! We would absolutely stay at this hotel again. 100% recommend!

Just got back from a 16 day trip with three other couples. We were on a golf tour package and we requested they set us up with high end hotels and highly regarded golf courses. The hotel is centrally located and next to Sagrada Familia which is a must see attraction in Barcelona. The accommodations were excellent and the staff was very attentive. It is run like an upscale boutique hotel where the service feels personalized. The beds were comfortable and the amenities were very good. We stayed for 3 nights. Each day, after golf or sightseeing, we stopped at the rooftop bar. The pool is not large but in our case it didn't matter because we did not come when the city was crowded. The wives always got a pitcher of sangria which was of course delicious. The guys asked for cocktails and they were well made. When we checked out our golf tour company messed up and we received a small tour bus that couldn't handle all the golf bags and luggage and we were pressed for time as we needed to catch the high speed train to Estepona Spain (you really should visit Estepona). The staff saw we were having issues with the golf transportation and they jumped in to help. As we were trying to sort out the travel to the train station they were coming in conjunction with local travel to assist us if we needed it. As it turns out we did need the hotels help and 2-3 staff members rushed our bags and clubs out to the taxi to get things loaded ASAP because they sensed our time constraint. As I was in the back seat with clubs on my back I was trying to reach for my wallet and the staff member waived me off and told us to get a move on. This kind of service is hard to find no matter where you travel and deserves to be recognized. My wife and I have been to Barcelona before and stayed centrally. Although we enjoyed our other accommodations we will make Ohla Eixample our preferred choice and all four couples were so grateful for the help as well as the quality of the accommodations.

We stayed here from the 14th to the 18th of September 2026. This was a first-time city break, Barcelona is a great place for drinks, food and shopping. Ohla Eixample is very close to Las Ramblas where there are plenty of options to eat and drink, as well as shop. At the bottom of the hill is the Gothic Quarter where the Cathedral is, the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia is local, as well as Guell Park. The hotel is a lovely place to be in and is in a good location, the room (507) had all the amenities of which you would expect from a 5 star boutique hotel, such as a safe, TV (Spanish obviously) hair dryer, toiletries, large shower, huge bed, AC, water daily etc and turn down service at night. The was spotlessly clean BTW. We didn’t eat at the hotel as we were out all day / night, however we did use the bar. This was hit and miss I must say as there wasn’t a dedicated bar man/lady when we visited (17th Sept) so every-time we we wanted a drink, we had to catch someone from the restaurant, this in my opinion isn’t a 5 star service, also the prices within the hotel were much more expensive than out on Las Ramblas. We visited the roof terrace on the 16th, which was full, we never tried the pool as all the beds (maybe 10) we’re taken and there were no signs of them becoming free anytime soon, so we left. With this hotel being in a city you do hear some outside noise at night however, the guests tended to be quiet, maybe this is due to the price point, either way, it had a quiet feel to it which is good, ie no shouty english carrying on (I say that as an English person), so overall a good atmosphere for a relaxing break away, when not out and about. On checking out (18th) we were charged 105 euros for a hotel/tourist tax, no idea what this is for either but I paid it as we needed to get to the airport. Having walked a fair few miles in 4 days I had noticed many more hotels which looked nice so if I was to come back to Barcelona (which I will), I would probably stay elsewhere, but as I say, Ohla Eixample was very good, albeit with a couple of downsides.

The location was ideal. The hotel was clean. The rooms were nice. There were some staff who made our stay excellent: the housekeeping lady Aris Novas was so helpful and provided everything we needed with a lovely demeanor. Also the gentlemen standing at the entrance of the hotel, Mahamadou Camara, was so delightful and considerate with an amazing smile and attitude at all times. He truly brightened our days. Last but not least, the gentleman at the reception, Igor Horobets, is the person who mainly gave our trip the 5 star treatment. We had a small emergency situation and he helped arrange which hospital to go to and what to do when we get there. He was also amazingly professional, kind, supportive and attending efficiently to our every need or inquiry throughout our trip. Any information he provided us with was detailed and accurate which made everything go smoothly… customer service at its best making us feel just at home!
