Ohla Eixample

Its a very rare occasion that I am willing to admit that I was impressed by a hotel ,I believe that there is always headroom for improvement but the Ohla is an exception ,a very good one.From our arrival the Concierge was outstanding ,he took our luggage and offered my wife a glass of Cava , he must have done his research on her. Front of house eception were welcoming witty , charming and genuinely proud of their hotel and the city of Barcelona . There was such a positive atmosphere in and around the hotel , all of the staff that we encountered during our one night stay were delightful including our breakfast experience We were immediately offered an upgrade to a suite which was spotless and expansive with a separate WC and separate Shower, a double sink and massive bed , a lounge area with settee , armchair and coffee table ,the lighting was practical and atmospheric the TV was also huge with english language channels. In our opinion this was exceptional value for money . The reception area was spotless and so well presented , the entire hotel was quiet even when busy and I must mention the roof terrace . We decided to have a pre - dinner drink on the rooftop terrace adjacent to the delightful pool , again the staff were attentive polite and helpful , willing to promote their beloved city ,we had to drag ourselves away. We were going on a luxury cruise and I can honestly say that this hotel compared favourably with our experience on Silversea Silver Ray What a beginning ! And thank you to all of the staff who gave us such a good start to a memorable vacation

Great property in a quiet residential Eixample street walking distance to Passeig de Gracia, Las Ramblas and many restaurants, shops and cafes. 2nd time staying here - quite large sized modern rooms, rooftop pool and great service make it a top 5* property. Shout-out to the wonderful front desk and breakfast staff (breakfast is superb) as well as parking garage attendants. Highly recommend!

The rooms were dirty, and the housekeeping staff never properly cleaned them. The hallways were also dirty, and the walls between the rooms were so thin that I could clearly hear everything from the neighboring rooms. The furniture in the suite was old, worn out, and of very poor quality. Overall, the condition of the suite was far below what I expected and the bathroom in mid of rooms and no privacy

The staff was efficient, attentive and friendly. The room was spacious. The breakfast had a good variety of choices. The bed was okay, and they had different complimentary upgrades, such as a topper and 300 count Egyptian sheets, which made the bed comfortable and cozy. That configuration should be the standard with upgrades from there. I had a balcony which was nice. It is located near a metro, restaurants, markets, and the El Elon and La Rambla neighborhoods are within walking distance.

The hotel is amazing and very modern, located right in the center. The breakfast and rooftop were both amazing. Additionally, the staff at the hotel were extremely nice, professional and provided instant help for all our requests which made our stay even more special. Special thanks to Adelaide and Marcos!
