Ohla Eixample

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nghts. before a tour in France. The location is superb, with restaurants, buses, and metro stations nearby. We splurged on a suite and loved the spaciousness and walk-in shower. Andrea Rey, the Manager helped throughout our stay. She has a special staff. Everyone was courteous, knowledgeable, and spoke English and Spanish. We also loved the Salsa Dancing experience on Friday night. I recommend that you stay here.

Excellent hotel! Wonderful service, Juanma at the desk was helpful with questions and recommendations for nearby restaurants. The included breakfast was abundant with an excellent selection. Would highly recommend.

I cannot fault the Ohla Eixample and its staff! From the moment I booked our room for myself and my teenage daughter, I felt incredibly well looked after. Andrea was superb at looking after us before and during our stay as well as giving excellent restaurant recommendations. On arrival, we were made to feel so welcome and offered cava, which is always the best start to a holiday! Our room was a stunning Junior Suite - so light and spacious, marvellous modern decor, impeccably clean, incredibly comfortable and luxurious. No noise from the street outside, just the gorgeous sun coming in. It was one of the best hotel rooms we have stayed in. The roof top terrace and pool didn’t disappoint either! A fabulous vibe, gorgeous pool and views of the Sagrada Família all with a pool bar! The location was perfect for what we wanted - between a 10 and 20 minute walk to all the Gaudí spots we were there for and moments from the buzzing Rambla de Catalunya, which leads to Plaça Cataluyna be Las Ramblas. Plenty of brilliant restaurants around and we felt very safe to walk around in the day and at night. I would (and will be) highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona. You get the sights, food, relaxation and five star experience all in on and great value for money. And all with a super Spanish smile. Ohla Eixample was excellent in every way. ¡Muchisimas gracias! We will certainly return.

Very nice hotel. The staff was very friendly, very helpful and very professional. We had the following problem during our city trip, and this problem was solved by the hotel staff as quickly as possible : - This trip was booked via TUI in Belgium. - Upon arrival at the hotel, it turned out that no one was aware of our confirmed and paid reservation via TUI. - Apparently, the local TUI agent had not passed on a reservation to the hotel. - After dealing with this for about 2,5 hours, involving both the hotel staff and ourselves with TUI, we were assigned a hotel room. It was only in the evening that the problem turned out to be solved and the mistake was made by the local TUI agent. However, in the meantime, several stressful hours had passed on the first day of our city trip (saturday). It is clear, however, that all hotel staff did their utmost to put us at ease. - As for TUI Belgium : the various employees we spoke did their best to solve the problem of the missing reservation but we still had to urge them four times to speed things up. Their biggest problem was that TUI's reservations department was closed on saturday and this department was also closed on sunday and monday (a public holiday), while we were already returning home on tuesday morning. Due to this we hope that TUI will have a serious talk with their local agent. In any case, we will return to the hotel in future. However, we will certainly think carefully about whether or not to book this hotel via TUI next time. Congratulations to the hotel staff.

Very nice location with very friendly and attentive staff and delicious breakfast buffet. However we had several concerns that resulted in a lower rating. (1) out room had a very distinct odor as soon as we opened the door. It smelled very musty, almost sewer or moldy odor. I had to request a room change and was told that it was the last room available. I didn’t know if the new room would also smell and wondered how they could accommodate us. (2) the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. We had two twin beds put together to make it king size. The pillows were very soft and also uncomfortable. (3) there was blood stain on the comforter.. They stain appeared fresh. (4) the TV stations offered only Spanish channels. Only English stations were the news. No Fox channel. I didn’t bring up these issues since I was told there was no other room available.
