This luxury hotel was worth every penny. My husband and I were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and splurged on a Cool Corner Suite. We asked for the highest floor and got it. The room was amazing, from the layout and views to the quality of the mattress and amenities. This was probably the cleanest room I've ever stayed at. Housekeeping does a great job. And service at this hotel was superior. At check-in they asked if we were here for any special occasion so we mentioned our anniversary. That night we came back to find a bottle of wine, chocolates and a card wishing us a happy anniversary. Breakfast at The Wave was luxurious as well. They had a large variety and it was presented beautifully. Each day the manager Filomene would come and talk with us. Not just to check on how our breakfast was, but to really talk with us, ask about our trip, provide helpful information and making sure we had everything we could possibly want or need during our stay. She even gave us a card and small gift on our last day. She obviously takes pride in her work and truly enjoys what she does. The pool and beach areas of the W were also the epitome of luxurious comfort. Again, service was amazing. We also had dinner one night at The Salt, just off the beach. Service and food were both great. It was a little pricey but not too bad and not surprising. Actually it was the best food we had in Spain. I don't know if we'll ever make it back to Barcelona, but if we do this is the only hotel I would stay at. We loved every minute here. The only downside is the W spoiled us for every other hotel. I can't imagine another taking it's place as the best hotel ever. I wish I never had to leave :-)

This hotel does luxury right. We stayed here in June 2017. Everything from beginning to end was wonderful. Clean, good bed, soft bedding, tons of toiletries and a Salvador Dali pillow! We had a view facing away from the major beach so we got the view of the port. It was still beautiful. The pool was lovely great staff very attentive. We didn't check out the club. Lovely place I would go back.

Stayed two nights at the W. can't fault it. Had a table on the wet deck on the Saturday night. Very expensive with a minimum spend but ok as was 10 of us to share! Had the basic room but still good. Went up to the disco afterwards. Full of younger people. Not sure what they thought of a bunch of 50 year olds still celebrating their mid life crisis!

Was a little worried when we arrived as reception was extremely busy (full of very trendy 30 year olds) and we were two couples in our 50/60s!! Once in our room we were more relaxed. We had fabulous rooms on the 8th floor. Views were brilliant with floor to ceiling windows looking out to the beach and across to Barcelona. The room was nicely furnished but be aware the toilet and walk in shower (great shower) are separated from the bedroom by barely obscure glass! The sink is in the bedroom and the lighting on the mirror area above very dark. We did have a curtain that you could partly pull across to aid modesty! We ate in the Bravo 24 restaurant on the first night which was superb. We also had breakfast there on 3 occasions - as you can sit outside and it is much nicer than in the Wave restaurant. The buffet was extensive and the staff first class. Outside there is a nice pool area with good sun beds. There is also a sun-bed area on the beach for hotel guests. The hotel is in a lovely location with lots of restaurants within walking distance. It is a little way out from the main town area but taxis are always available right outside the hotel (15€ to La Sagrada Familia). The staff in general were very good. One slight disappointment was our room was not cleaned until 5.20 pm on one day. When we complained to reception we were told housekeeping was till 6pm even though it stated in the hotels own literature it was 5pm. We were, however, given complementary drinks. Whilst the hotel has a lot to offer, we probably thought it was a bit too trendy for us (DJs playing music in the bar area and hanging swinging chairs!!). Think in future we will leave it to the young beautiful people who clearly love it there - although we did have a brilliant.
