I was in Barcelona in May for work. I booked a suite, while it was nice, I was denied an upgrade to a suite with a balcony despite availability, a short stay and ambassador Elite membership. Breakfast was very good, the pools were nice. Dry cleaning was sent much later than expected and I had to call 3 times to follow up on the estimated arrival time.

Had good memories from my last stay (few years back): well, it remains one of my favourite hotels in the world. Why? Location is out of this world: beach front 360 degrees amazing views: this never tires… Staff I thought were amazing (better than I recall from last time): super attentive, friendly, smiling, hospitable: from check-in, to security, to barman, to spa, to breakfast. The breakfast is amazing btw…. The rooms are beautiful: excellent desk to work, lounge couch to relax with amazing views, a fantastic bed with amazing pillows, beautiful shower. Just top. The 1st floor bar where I had a few drinks was great: excellent barman and cool music. Fantastic relaxing massage in the spa. What impressed me the most however was how they dealt with a hiccup: at one stage in the middle of a conference call my neighbour room decided to become a discotheque: I‘m OK with a little noise (was not even 7 PM), but this was insane…. I went downstairs to mention it, in 2 minutes there was security on the floor (music had been turned down), the day after at breakfast the maitre asked me if I still had had problems with the noise, and the day after there was a small apology note on my desk: must say: THAT is impressive and unfortunately not common. Really appreciated!! Next time I will definitely stay here with the family again!!!!

My son and i stayed at W Hotel in October as a treat for half term. The building is commanding, striking, beautiful and a statement landmark on the coastal parade. It is walking distance to all the main attractions and literally on the beach. You enter the hotel to a huge atrium with the trademark W pizzaz of sparkles and lights. Sometimes with W hotels you feel that the 'coolness' outshines and attention to detail and servive attentivness and W Baracelona was a mixed bag when.it comes to service. The welcome is non existant with the person on the door and in the lobby, however the reception was great. We checked in with a nice lady that was i assume a senior position. She was professional, attentive allbeit more formal then friendly. She gave us all the info we needed and off we went to our room. The corridoors all face into the atrium and are a dark red colour. The room we had was beautiful. Overlooking the beach with floor to ceiling window flooded wirh natural daylight. It was spacious, well maintained and most importantly well cleaned. The beds are mega comfy and automated controls are effichent. We ate one night in Fire restaurant.....we enjoyed it very much. Local fresh ingreidents with a theme of fire. The steak tartar on bonemarrow was delicious. The hostess was super friendly, kind and bubbly. The server was knowledgeable, engaging and friendly. The lounge bar was cool. Open plan and is designed to be open, friendly and relaxed. We went twice, the second time we were really well looked after by the waitress. Drinks were great. We ate in COYA too. Food was delicious, as in COYA London, the room was cool and the restaurant was themed for halloween which was super fun. The service was very arrogant, we felt that the server wasnt interested in us as we were 'not cool enough' or 'not wealthy enough' to be in such a place. The push for upselling was very obtrustive and shameless. It was a shame that the gentleman serving us made us feel like we shouldnt have been there. We went to the spa / pool which is fab, it was relaxing, chilled, not overcrowded and well maintained. We played cards around the outside pool area which was great. Also the Wet deck was a really nice area that i assume was quieter than it nornamlly would be in the height of summer. We didnt visit the Noxe bar / restaurant as ny son wasnt old enough, but it always seemed to have guests going there. There is a direct route to the beach which is great with a number of restaurants at the bottom of the hotel next to the beach (i do not think these are not part of the hotel). All-in-all we loved being in this hotel. It was a great stay. We will be back and definately reccomend to anyone travelling to wonderful Barcelona.

We recently stayed at the W Hotel Barcelona, and from the moment we arrived, it felt special. We were warmly welcomed by a lovely gentleman named Romero at the concierge desk. He took our suitcases and walked us to reception, setting the perfect tone for our stay with his kindness and smile. At reception, we met Max, who was simply outstanding. He went above and beyond to help us, attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. Everything he did made us feel so well cared for. An absolute star. Our room had a beautiful sea and beach view, and waking up to that stunning view of the Mediterranean each morning was unforgettable. It made our celebration even more special. We also spoke with Rachel from the concierge team, who helped with restaurant bookings and recommendations. She suggested the hotel’s own restaurant, Fire, which turned out to be an excellent choice for our evening meal. We were celebrating a very special wedding anniversary, and the whole experience couldn’t have been more perfect. The service was first-class, the views were spectacular, and the atmosphere was lively yet relaxed. Every member of staff we met was friendly, welcoming, and eager to make our stay memorable. The hotel is currently going through a two-year renovation program, which will make an already impressive place even better. An amazing stay in a wonderful hotel. We’d happily recommend the W Hotel Barcelona to anyone, especially if you’re celebrating something special. It’s a place that truly knows how to create lasting memories.
