The Hotel is fantastic!! The rooms have a outstanding lake view with the mountains behind. The Staff is very nice and helpful. They call you by your first name. I got an upgrade for a full bangalous. It's an amazing experience.

Absolutely great boutique hotel on the shore of the lake. We had read of course about the views but it cannot be stated enough how great they are ! We could even see the lake from our bathtub. The suites are more like studios, as you even have a small kitchen (which we did not use, as the restaurant of the hotel is really great). The concept of private spa is funny, but more useful in winter I guess (in the summer, if you really want to use the sauna you are better using the one near the swimming pool as it has great views on the lake). As expected from a high end boutique hotel, the staff is wonderful and very helpful. The location between Bariloche and Llao Llao peninsula is very convenient as it gives a quick access to the main attraction of the region (circuito chixo, Lago Guttierez, Cerro Otto, Cerro Campanador) and as the Bariloche city center has very limited interest anyway. Highly recommended hotel.

Charming Lodge & Spa We just finished a lovely 3 night stay at this hotel. I picked it based on TA reviews. As others have noted- the property is located on the water ( not across the street or in the distance). Views are spectacular from the dining room as well as the rooms. When we initially checked in we were given a room that I frankly would have been unhappy with. It was down a steep staircase, the room contained a king bed and a twin bed (which we did not need). It had 2 plastic chairs outside for us...but even before we unpacked people walked by our room to take pictures and they could look right in our room. We really weren't to happy- then my husband hit his head on the tv that was attached to an arm that swung out for viewing. This room would have been a nightmare for anyone who is tall ( I am 5’10” and my husband 6’2”). Fortunately they had another room available which was much better. It was an apartment. It would be great for families- 2 bedrooms- one with twin beds, the other with 2 twins made into a king bed, as well as a third twin bed. (The extra twin bed in both rooms was strange to me...and it was not additive. )The view was sensational. There was a full kitchen, living room, fireplace, outdoor balcony, bathroom with double sinks and air conditioning. It also had the whirlpool tub which other reviewers are excited about but honestly double sinks and a shower are all I need. A plus was heated floors. A negative was the finishes were pretty cheap. Grey brown ceramic tile and a cheap plastic door to the toilet/ bidet. I normally wouldnt focus on those details but a marketing point for the hotel seems to be in the in room spa bathrooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The service at the restaurant was- at best -slow. The breakfast was good. Nice buffet of fruit, cheese, meats, breads, sweets etc. Choice of eggs made to order. There was a little card on the table that you filled out with your egg order- which I thought was a great idea. The coffee was also self serve which I liked. The food was so good at dinner we ate there twice. Service was challenged both nights. They brought starters before the wine, be prepared to pour your own wine etc. That said- the food is good enough to overlook that - and again - the view is spectacular. There is a nice swimming pool with a pretty deck overlooking the lake. There is a sauna by the pool for those of us who did not have one in the room. The hotel was not full the day we left - and they were kind enough to allow us a late check out which we really appreciated. I would recommend this hotel and I would return.

It is hard to say what is best, the location, comfort, food or the charming staff. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by name and met the charming owner. This set the stage for the excellent service that we received from everyone. We had a corner room with views of the lake and mountains on two sides. The room contained an extremely comfortable bed, scotch shower, jacuzzi tub, dry sauna, microwave, mini frig and what was really rare a COFFEE maker in the room. The in room coffee was a real treat. The breakfast buffet was the best I have experienced in Argentina. We ate at the restaurant twice and both meals were excellent. We were truly sad to leave the beautiful Charming Hotel.
