El Casco Art Hotel is a classy, understated, serene and luxurious gem right on the lake in Bariloche. The staff was very helpful, polite and discreet. The restaurant was excellent and our server was very attentive.

This hotel should never have a good review. It is dated and in need of a facelift. While the setting is beautiful the rooms and spa were old and not very clean. The front desk and wait staff were surly and not at all helpful. Breakfast was institutional and not nicely presented. I will say when I spoke to the manager about this she was nice , but obviously the hotel is owned out if the city and the owners have little interest.

We stayed for three nights over the new year at the beautiful hotel. The location is spectacular with amazing views of the garden and the lake. The staff is very friendly and spoke English very well. We were surprised by the quality and content of the dinners we had. They would pass a Michelin guide inspector easily. The art on display for sale at the hotel are excellent and from well known artists.
