No frills Batam Getaway
The resort was quite unexpected. In terms of the rooms, the amenities etc - it was actually pretty decent. We were pleasantly surprised and the rooms were quite clean and the bathroom was very spacious with a decently sized pool (in the villa). The pool was a little old, and didn't seemed like it was maintained properly. Food was quite expensive -- comparable with Singapore food hotel prices. Buy the food package (if it's avail) Here's what we liked: 1. Location - good. It's about 45 min away from Singapore. A good place for a short getaway. 2. Atmosphere - there are a lot of activities to do there -- good for long stays. (3 days and up) 3. Noise level - low. Quiet and peaceful though if it's just a regular room, you can see your neighbours so no privacy (you can also hear their convos) Here's what we didn't like: 1. Service - no good. They take a long time to get to your room, and if it rains, you are stranded. The customer service is very basic and they don't really understand requests or questions. I had put in a request for birthday and these all came very late. When we arrived (11ish am) everyone with us already had their rooms but we were left to wait till 2pm. They don't give you proper explanations and the team shares a WhatsApp so we got multiple variations of answers. I'd recommend coming here if you are looking for: 1. Somewhere near 2. A quick getaway 3. Value for money But manage expectations.

Its always a great stay at Montigo ☺️ This time around, we are as usual well taken care of and had an amazing time. Staff was friendly and efficient in their work. Service was impeccable and it really made our stay ☺️ Will definitely come back back next year for our anniversary ✨

Our first room 1202 the toilet have a very unpleasant smell. Ms Lestari attended to the issue promptly and change us to a better room. Very happy with the hotel stuff hospitality and services. Shout out especially to Ms Lestari for her excellent service. Thank you Montigo 😃
