Montigo Resorts Nongsa

The location is great (5-10mins away from the nearest port). There is free shuttle bus transport between the resort and the port. The villa is clean and everything is functioning properly. The staffs are very friendly! Especially thanks to Arjuna and Kristina!

Very nice stay. Apart from the water outage, everything else was good. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Elisa at front desk was also very friendly and welcoming.

Villa was spacious and clean. Service provided by staff were also very prompt. Generally, everyone is very friendly and welcoming. We want to thank especially staff Riyan who has been exceptionally patient, friendly and kind to our 2 families and the children. He makes conversations and asks of how are stays are, makes the boys laugh, and is exceptionally gentle and kind hearted. We want to thank him for sending us around in our buggy rides and taking time to talk to us and our children 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Montigo has quickly become one of our favourite places for a short getaway. This was our third visit this year, in three consecutive months since August, and each trip has given us a different special memory. Our first visit in August was just the two of us, celebrating my birthday and our anniversary. We enjoyed it so much that we returned during the September school holidays, this time bringing our son along. Most recently, for the Children’s Day break, we came back again with our close friends and their two boys — and it was such a lovely way to spend time together as families. One thing that keeps bringing us back is the warmth and hospitality of the Montigo team. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and what makes it even more special is that some of them actually remembered us from our previous visits. That personal touch really makes you feel like a returning guest rather than just another booking. We would especially like to recognise Riyan, who made our most recent stay extra memorable. He was incredibly kind and friendly, and the boys really enjoyed chatting with him during our buggy rides. He engaged them so naturally and made every interaction enjoyable. When we mentioned how our stay felt far too short, Riyan even went out of his way to help enquire whether we could extend it. What touched us most was that he personally came all the way to our villa to share the good news that the extension was possible! We were genuinely so happy and thankful. It may seem like a small gesture, but it reflected the kind of thoughtful and personal service that makes a holiday memorable. Thank you, Riyan, and the Montigo team, for always making us feel so welcome. From a couple’s celebration, to a family holiday, and now a getaway with close friends and our boys, Montigo has become part of some very special memories for us. Three visits in three months probably says it all — we clearly enjoy coming back! ❤️

**First Time at Nongsa – Montigo Resorts** This was our first time visiting Nongsa, and we chose to stay at Montigo Resorts\. Overall, the resort exceeded my expectations and made our wedding anniversary celebration extra special\. There were many things we really enjoyed\. The staff were warm and attentive, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade to celebrate our anniversary\. Having a private dipping pool in our villa was definitely one of the highlights\. The pickleball facilities were also a great addition, and we really appreciated the convenience of communicating with the resort staff through WhatsApp\. The service throughout our stay was generally excellent\. That said, there are a few areas that I feel could be improved: **1\. Spa & Massage Experience** The massage experience itself, from the pre\-massage process to the treatment and post\-massage service, was very good\. However, the seasonal repair works happening nearby were quite distracting\. The sounds from the repair works, particularly the hammering and drilling, competed with the spa music, which was already played at quite a high volume and included birds chirping, waterfall sounds and calming music\. The smell of what seemed to be insect repellent or incense was also quite strong and overpowered the aroma of the essential oils being used during the massage\. Additionally, the massage bed occasionally made a creaking sound while I was lying on it, which was a little distracting during an otherwise relaxing treatment\. **2\. Limited In\-Room Dining Options** Our massage session ended quite late, and by then we were informed that the restaurants had already closed\. We decided to order from the in\-room dining menu instead\. Unfortunately, the selection was quite limited, with no pasta options and only a few soup\-based dishes available\. On the positive side, the food arrived much faster than expected\. However, the dishes were packed in takeaway boxes, which made the overall in\-room dining experience feel a little less premium than expected from a resort of this standard\. **3\. Pickleball Court Lighting** We were also looking forward to playing pickleball during our stay\. However, we were informed by the staff that the court lights were not working and that the courts could not be used after 6pm\. We booked a 5pm–6pm slot, but as the sun started to set towards the end of our session, visibility became quite challenging\. Having functioning lights would definitely make the courts more enjoyable and allow guests to play comfortably in the evening, especially given Batam’s hot weather and haze. **Would we come back to Montigo?** **Absolutely\!** Despite the areas mentioned above, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back\. The buffet breakfast, although not the most extensive spread, was still commendable and had a good variety\. The private dipping pool in our villa was definitely worth it and made the stay feel more relaxing and exclusive\. Most importantly, getting to Montigo from Singapore was relatively easy and much less stressful compared to travelling to some other nearby resorts\. Combined with the beautiful surroundings, good service, private pool and availability of activities like pickleball, Montigo makes for a convenient and enjoyable getaway from Singapore\. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and a memorable wedding anniversary\. With a few improvements to the spa environment, in\-room dining options and pickleball court lighting, I think the experience could be even better\.
