This tastefully refurbished member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World boasts a beautiful Gothic façade, fine paintings and antiques, and fully restored Victorian kitchen garden, which supplies the celebrated onsite restaurant. This is a below average relais chateau facility. We stayed in a suite that had a queen bed (not wide enough). The room does NOT have air condition - a Dyson ventilator is inadequate and does NOT do the job. Servicing the room every evening is great - but why don't you replace the wet towels that were on the floor, and just hang them back on the hanger? And breakfast was disappointing, especially when compared to other relais chateau hotels. The dishes feels like you have a tired chef that does the minimum, and is not focused on quality and plating - too bad

Exquisite experience for a very important birthday . Ambience. Delicious food from the Pantry menu. . Wonderful staff. All absolutely perfect. The gardens are glorious for a stroll before you eat, or to bask in afterwards. Can’t wait for an excuse to come back.

The Priory is a beautiful, historic manor home situated about a 15-20min from town. The front reception was super kind and helpful in a couple instances. Our room was large and the beds were very comfortable. We didn't dine at the hotel, so my review isn't based on that experience. However, we did spend a good amount of time at the indoor pool. The temp was heavenly. Overall great stay at The Priory. If you are looking for a place that is in Bath, but not right in town - this is it!

I want to live here. All of the team are just incredible. The hotel exceeded my expectations at every turn. Afternoon Tea was delicious and the setting is so picturesque. The bed was the softest most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The Spa area is small and fabulous with access to the outdoor heated pool. The building and gardens are stunning but I think it is the people that make the place. I can't wait to come back. A perfect country retreat.

Do yourself a favor and book if you can. Enchanting historic hotel with a super talented staff making sure every detail is perfect. The staff made everything fun and memorable. The dinner wine pairing was imaginative with great flavors and art on a plate. The wine pairing inspired some fun new wines to try. Great wine selection.
