Beautiful manor home to spend a weekend at!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 23 hours ago

The Priory is a beautiful, historic manor home situated about a 15-20min from town. The front reception was super kind and helpful in a couple instances. Our room was large and the beds were very comfortable. We didn't dine at the hotel, so my review isn't based on that experience. However, we did spend a good amount of time at the indoor pool. The temp was heavenly. Overall great stay at The Priory. If you are looking for a place that is in Bath, but not right in town - this is it!

Absolutely Fabulous

I want to live here. All of the team are just incredible. The hotel exceeded my expectations at every turn. Afternoon Tea was delicious and the setting is so picturesque. The bed was the softest most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The Spa area is small and fabulous with access to the outdoor heated pool. The building and gardens are stunning but I think it is the people that make the place. I can't wait to come back. A perfect country retreat.

Perfect stay at a perfect Relais Chateau hotel

Do yourself a favor and book if you can. Enchanting historic hotel with a super talented staff making sure every detail is perfect. The staff made everything fun and memorable. The dinner wine pairing was imaginative with great flavors and art on a plate. The wine pairing inspired some fun new wines to try. Great wine selection.

Wonderful traditional afternoon tea

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Our last afternoon tea in Bath was taken at the Bath Priory. Establishment and Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Built in 1835, The Bath Priory Hotel offers a fine example of gothic architecture of the period. Set in four acres of award-winning gardens, the hotel grows many of its own herbs and vegetables. Our tea was served in the beautiful lounge, it felt more like you were a guest of the home rather than a hotel. Level of Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely nothing to fault. Attentive service without being formal. We spent a good couple of hours, we certainly weren’t rushed and had the perfect afternoon. Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As well as the traditional afternoon tea they do offer both Vegan and Vegetarian. This was the first establishment this visit to offer a different sandwich in place of the fish for my allergy, everyone else doubled up on one of the other sandwiches. The sandwiches were very fresh, nice filings and a variety of breads. Did you see the sausage roll? Yes, it was as delicious as it looked! The scones were served warm from the oven and were truly amazing and the petite fours were sumptuous. Tea and Tea Ware ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tea of your choice from Newby tea selection
or Espresso, Americano, Macchiato, Cappuccino, Flat White Latte, Cafetière, Rooibos Flat White, Latte Mocha, Chai Latte, Hot Chocolate. Honestly the choice was endless. We had the most amazing Chai Lattes, hot chocolate and a pot of Earl grey tea. The tea ware was plain white (not a favorite I do like a pretty pattern), but it was very good quality. Value for money ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ For £48 it’s good value for money especially in a city center location. I absolutely loved everything about the Priory and would highly recommend if you are wanting to take Afternoon Tea in Bath. Overall Score ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #AfternoonteareviewsbyLindsey

Lovely boutique hotel

We enjoyed our stay here and liked the location, as it was an easy walk into Bath but it wasn't in the middle of a crowded area. We had a superior room and it was very nice. On the small side, but it was fine. Any staff that we encountered were very helpful and friendly, especially Kitty who help me several times with my booking. It was a bit on the expensive side for what you get, but I would stay there again
