Named for famed 19th century naturalist, Charles Telfair, Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort, Mauritius embodies beauty and elegance while celebrating its natural, unspoiled backdrop adrift in the Indian Ocean. Stretched across 15 acres atop the sandy shores of Bel Ombre Beach, Heritage Le Telfair's intimate village design includes 20 villas, each with 6-8 rooms that enjoy breathtaking beach views, private balconies, and floor-to-ceiling windows that permit abundant natural light to flow into the expansive living quarters. With design inspired by the French Colonial period on the island, rooms are outfitted with dark wood, over sized four-poster beds, lavish drapery and textiles, and a soft palette of light blue, green, and brown hues. En-suite bathrooms include claw-foot tubs in suites, walk-in showers, spacious dressing facilities, and plush bathrobes. At Heritage Le Telfair the smallest details are handled with the greatest care, because your comfort, pleasure, and experience are top priority.

Excellent staff, spacious rooms with two basins and plenty of storage for clothes etc. elegant houses consisting of an upper and ground floor rooms. Adult only area is excellent. Service with a smile. Excellent kind staff and in particular Dr Amrita, Varshita, Diny Sunnasy and room cleaners. We will definitely return, hoped to Room 204 next February 2027. Thank you

Another wonderful holiday at Le Telfair. Fabulous food, accommodation and every care to detail during our trip. In particular France, Melvin and Noor looked after us so well.

We spent just over a week at The Telfair. We were looked after by Ashni who is an absolute star in every respect, she is professional, diligent, caring and has thought of every detail, so you have to think of nothing!! Our room was a Seaview suite overlooking the beach in the adult only area. It was beautifully decorated, very colonial and huge with a balcony area. The food like one other review has mentioned was a little disappointing, we were expecting more fish options and whilst there are plenty of restaurant options we felt the menus to be limited. We were on the gourmet bliss plan, which worked well for us but you don't expect a 5 start resort this big to run out of Champagne and French rose which they did, a few disgruntled guests. The beach areas are lovely but again they could be looked after a little better (chewing gum and cocktail sticks) in the ashtrays by the side of the sun loungers. All this said and only in the hope that they take note, we would not hesitate in coming back. A few tweaks which will make such a difference and Le Telford will be back a the top where they belong.

My family visited Heritage Le Telfair in March 2026 for 1 week and we had an absolutely amazing experience. We were two adults and 2 kids (4 year old and 21 month old) and we stayed in the Senior Suite Garden View room. Reading the reviews here, I was a bit worried that the hotel would not be very family friendly but these fears were unfounded. The hotel and hotel staff were very accommodating and our kids had a wonderful time. A few things stand out: 1) kids club and baby club were amazing. It was its own mini complex, with a separate pool and outside space. The staff were very friendly and both my kids settled very quickly; 2) the beach is absolutely stunning. It's perfectly clean and is shallow, which makes it very friendly for little kids. Also, the sunsets on the beach were unbelievable; 3) the staff generally were very nice, polite and would go out of their way (e.g. Spicy at the bar); 4) the room was very spacious, chic, clean and kid friendly. The windows had blackout curtains and they provided us with a cot and sofa bed for our two kids. It was great that we had a separate entrance in our bedroom so that we could have a drink in our terrace without disturbing the kids; 5) the restaurants were great, lots of options (both relaxed and more upscale); 6) there were so many activities to do, we could have easily stayed here for 2 more weeks. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. It's family friendly without being 'just' about families and it's more upscale and chic than your typical family hotel. We can't wait to go back!
