Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort

This was our third visit to Le Telfair. I guess it’s clear we like it! There are many reasons why, but for us the friendliness of the whole resort is the key. Yes, the food is great. Yes, the golf courses are fantastic. But it’s the Le Telfair team that make this place special. And yes, we do plan to go again next year. Let’s start with the food. All the restaurants are of a high standard (we are used to fine dining). Nothing disappointed. But a special 'shout out' for Gin'ga. This is a top standard pan-Asian restaurant. We went twice -both times fantastic. The Teppanyaki at Gin'ja was a special treat. Maybe the showmanship at the table was a little over-the-top. But the food was fantastic. The flagship restaurant is Le Chateau. Classic French fine dining, with a Mauritian twist. Again we went twice during our two-week stay. Each time it felt like a proper 'occasion'. Breakfast was always plentiful and varied. Annabella’s was perfect for a quick breakfast before golf, or a leisurely 'graze' through the wide variety of tasty treats on offer. The two golf courses are very different. Le Chateau is a good quality golf course. challenging enough for most golfers. But also a great way to meet people from all over the world with a common interest in golf. We played there every other day. La Reserve is a bit special. A challenging links course -not for the faint-hearted. We play it once on each trip. It’s a good experience -but it is not an easy course. But, as we said, it’s the ambience of the resort, that we really appreciate. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Everyone seems smiling and happy. It never seems busy. There is always space, wherever you are in the resort. At the centre of the resort is the large Cavendish bar. Open for most of the day and evening there was always a welcome from the friendly staff. The staff there certainly have a lot of character, and we soon got to know them. After the first couple of days they got to know us and what we like (big shout out for Spicy, who seemed to adopt us). We booked the all-inclusive Gourmet Bliss package. Not because it is necessarily a cheaper option (I doubt it is), but because we like the speed and freedom that goes along with it. Most people we played golf with were on this package. The whole experience is 'glue-together' but the personal concierge allocated to us. Nothing too much trouble. Lots of personal touches. On each of our three trips we have had the same concierge (Shout out for Josh). So simple to make sure returners get the same person, and it makes it feel so much more personal for us. So, in summary we love the peace and safety of Mauritius. We feel that Le Telfair is our 'happy place'. We certainly plan to go again.

Amazing hotel. The best we’ve stayed in. The resort is beautiful with three large pools and loads of restaurant choices. Our room was overlooking the main pool and was stunning. A massive thank you to Ashniiii who was brilliant and looked after us all holiday.

Perfect place for families with kids. Our kids loved the Kids Club which meant we could have some real breaks in the adult zones. The staff at the Kids Club were caring, fun and accommodating, organising various activities like cooking and boat trips - thank you Reana, Deborah, Sweeti, Ragini, Rebecca, Samantha and Ivy for taking such great care of the kids. Also massive thanks to Nitisha our babysitter who made our kids feel so comfortable whilst we had dinner alone and to Anaïs who ensured all our needs were organised. Can’t wait to come back!

We visited on the 29th March to the 12th of April, what an absolute wonderful holiday. From start to finish, we were met with the best service, with Adrien our guest services concierge, we travelled with another family, so were all put into a WhatsApp group together so we could arrange meals etc, it was a superb service and honestly, nothing was to much hassle. The choice of restaurants available to us across the resorts kept every experience fresh and not reputative, the food and wine was superb. Our favs were la palmier, the golf links and the chateau for something really special. Our room was serviced twice a day, with water left on the bedside every evening which for someone who likes to stay hydrated was a big plus! Everything was just so considered. Huge shout out for Anish in the Cavendish who we met at a beachcomber, he went out of his way to make our trip extra special and was so good to catch up. Spicy was exceptional, she was the best company and knew what our fussy kids did and didn't like after their first order of pool food! The pool gents, Lovenish and Christian were the best, and Ashley from Annabella's who always gave us his best scouse accent and pop quiz's. For the first time ever we didn't want to come home after 14 days, we did so much and enjoyed a boat trip as well as the buggy's at the Vanille Park. Bel Ombre is a beautiful part of the island. If you are considering this resort, do not hesitate!

We visited hotel Heritage Le Telfair from the 07th April 2026 to 14th April 2026. We had the most amazing reception with Noor leading the reception team. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean every day. We leave the hotel having put on a few kgs of weight because of the delicious food served from breakfast to dinner at Annabelas. The service at all the food outlets, including Cavendish, was excellent. Special praise and high fives to our sista Spicy who gave us the most welcoming attention everywhere we met her. At Annabbelas, Cavendish specifically. We'lll most certainly come back again. We were also well treated at the Spa after a very relaxing spa. We give special praise to the manager and staff at the Spa who accepted goods we had purchased only to realize later we could not afford them all. They accepted the returned goods without so much of an issue. Shout out to this incredible institution. 💪💪🤛🤛👊👊🥰🥰
