Named for famed 19th century naturalist, Charles Telfair, Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort, Mauritius embodies beauty and elegance while celebrating its natural, unspoiled backdrop adrift in the Indian Ocean. Stretched across 15 acres atop the sandy shores of Bel Ombre Beach, Heritage Le Telfair's intimate village design includes 20 villas, each with 6-8 rooms that enjoy breathtaking beach views, private balconies, and floor-to-ceiling windows that permit abundant natural light to flow into the expansive living quarters. With design inspired by the French Colonial period on the island, rooms are outfitted with dark wood, over sized four-poster beds, lavish drapery and textiles, and a soft palette of light blue, green, and brown hues. En-suite bathrooms include claw-foot tubs in suites, walk-in showers, spacious dressing facilities, and plush bathrobes. At Heritage Le Telfair the smallest details are handled with the greatest care, because your comfort, pleasure, and experience are top priority.

We have just come back from a 10 day stay at Le Telfair. It was most enjoyable. We would like to compliment the management and staff. Especially Josh, Paul at the adult pool, Muchesh at breakfast, Spicy, Jimmy, Chris, Selven. They went far and beyond our expectations. I would recommend this hotel. Thank you to one and all.

This was our 4th visit to The Heritage Le Telfair. We were supposed to visit last year but due to health issues we had to postpone! We requested the room we have had in the past and we were lucky enough to be given it, so this was a fantastic start to the holiday. We arrived at the hotel at 11am and our room was available within half an hour of arriving which was amazing! As usual when we arrived we were greeted and welcomed back by the reception staff and on duty management. All the staff are amazing and no matter what their job is they always say hello to you when walking around the resort, from Management to the gardeners. We were staying on the Gourmet Bliss All Inclusive basis, as we have done on all the previous visits. This enabled us to eat/drink practically everything on the menus apart from some items where supplements are payable. We also have a butler allocated to us, who is there to help in booking restaurants, tee times etc! Our Butler was Melvin who we have had 3 previous times! He was amazing and was always there on WhatsApp no matter if he was on duty or not! Melvin is the best! Another special mention goes to Priscilla, who is the supervisor at The Case, the bar in the adult only area, the Serenity Pool. She is simply the best and has become a friend to me too! Her staff are the best! All the staff at Le Palmier are amazing too. They were always attentive when we had lunch there and on the days I was on my own - always looked after me. Ginga restaurant is amazing and probably our favourite, however all are lovely. Annabella’s is such a beautiful restaurant, with just amazing views of the grounds. The food is fabulous, whether it be the buffet or Al A Carte. A special mention goes to Joven here too. He went out of his way to look after us. First class service. Le Chateau is an absolutely stunning dinning experience that can’t be missed. I’ve been told by my husband that the golf courses are fabulous too and with the Gourmet Bliss package you get to play on the new Reserve Course, free once every 7 days. We were personally invited to have aperitifs with Jimmy Athion from management in the Cavendish one evening which was so lovely. We spent about an hour and half with him! You would always see the GM walking around the resort at any time of day and he would always converse with the guests which was brilliant to see. I could go on more but it’s long enough as it is. This stunning resort is beautiful and I can’t recommend it enough. It really is somewhere you need to try. The views of the coral bay are stunning. What is there not to like???

This is our 11th consecutive year at HLT (with the occasional 2 stays in a year) so for me this speaks volumes. My previous report (October 2025) was very comprehensive and was, of course, during the low season. This stay was for the Festive Season over 2 weeks. Choice of suites and packages are for the individual to decide but this visit saw us stay within the 'adults only' area. Suites here vary but all basically surround the 'adults only' pool or face the beach. The suites are very comfortable (visit HLT website for photos), 2 very nice sun beds outside with an umbrella and a small kiosk very close for drinks and snacks. Small patio area with easy chairs. All buildings are just 2 storey with 8 suites per block (5 blocks). There are also many sun beds available at the beach under thatched umbrellas and beach towels are available from the kiosk. The pool is heated from May-Sept. With it being Xmas/New Year there was a variety of entertainment every night and the restaurants had special buffets or Gourmet evenings. Annabella's Xmas Eve Buffet was exceptional and staff worked like Trojans to make everything run smoothly. New Year's Eve was also a superb buffet and with some 250 guests it again ran like clockwork thanks to the dedicated staff. A very good firework exhibition at the end of the evening. I could write a book on HLT experiences but it is safe to say that everything here runs like clockwork because management, (led by Mr Dominique Grel), work tirelessly and hand on to make and keep it that way. Thanks to Olivia, Jimmy, Jossy, JP, Allan and many more for their efforts. As always Le Chateau GC was in pristine condition and O'Grill there has a very good menu (The Dorado is my favourite). La Reserve had just held the DP World Tour Afrasia Mauritius Open and was likewise in pristine condition. A course for good golfers but if not (as Nicholas Colsaerts said) just enjoy the magnificent views. All the staff at HLT give 100% commitment to ensure that the guest has the most enjoyable stay. From Management right through to the gardeners and maintenance everyone is so friendly and helpful. It is always difficult to single out staff as 'extra special' but people like Hansi, Ashni, Yoven, Rishi, Angelique, Mukesh, Kevin make our stay as wonderful as it is. Even the Housekeeping Supervisors like Tushita and Rishma ensure our stay is memorable. HLT is 5-star and so room rates are premium but in the end you get what you pay for. I still think that Gourmet Bliss Package is the best. We will return in August for 8 weeks (to escape the SA winter) and are working on 3 weeks at Xmas (if I can afford it!!) HLT is like a second home to us and staff members are friends now and are always sad to see us leave. Enjoy HLT. You would not regret it.

Great hotell and great service and the golfcourse le reserve is absolutely amazing worldclass golf experience. Our personal concierge service Melvin has been absolutely outstanding. From day one, he has gone above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Always available, genuinely caring, and incredibly professional. His attention to detail and constant willingness to help made this trip truly wonderful. A clear 10 out of 10 – Melvin is a real asset to Hotel Telfair and turned our stay in Mauritius into something special.

Joined my husband on his Mauritian golf trip for a few days unexpectedly and we stayed at Heritage Le Telfair. We are seasoned travellers to the island and stay at a small selection of nice hotels. Le Telfair is now on that list as it’s lovely. From the room we were given which is within the adults only area to the food and drink selection in the evening, we were very well looked after. I especially loved the choice of restaurants available over the resort. Thank you to the whole team for making my stay very special. Warm Regards Mrs G.
