Named for famed 19th century naturalist, Charles Telfair, Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort, Mauritius embodies beauty and elegance while celebrating its natural, unspoiled backdrop adrift in the Indian Ocean. Stretched across 15 acres atop the sandy shores of Bel Ombre Beach, Heritage Le Telfair's intimate village design includes 20 villas, each with 6-8 rooms that enjoy breathtaking beach views, private balconies, and floor-to-ceiling windows that permit abundant natural light to flow into the expansive living quarters. With design inspired by the French Colonial period on the island, rooms are outfitted with dark wood, over sized four-poster beds, lavish drapery and textiles, and a soft palette of light blue, green, and brown hues. En-suite bathrooms include claw-foot tubs in suites, walk-in showers, spacious dressing facilities, and plush bathrobes. At Heritage Le Telfair the smallest details are handled with the greatest care, because your comfort, pleasure, and experience are top priority.

This was our second visit to leTelfair & we will be back! The location is perfect, accommodation of a very high standard. The quality of the food & drink is excellent. We had the Gourmet Plus package which was definitely worth the money, especially for those who play golf. I especially enjoyed the Spa & Wellness area which was so relaxing & offered a wide range of treatments. There is a good choice of activities on offer, I did Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Aqua stretch & Aqua yoga. It was amazing to do all these activities in the open air, surrounded by nature. The teachers were all helpful, friendly and made the classes fun. David, who did mat Pilates was excellent. Our butler, Ashni, was lovely & did everything she could to make our stay comfortable and memorable.

We stayed at Heritage Le Telfair Golf Resort & Spa for 10 days starting on 10 January 2026, travelling with two friends. This was our third visit to the resort, and once again it did not disappoint. As requested, the hotel accommodated us in adjoining first-floor sea view rooms, which was very much appreciated and set the tone for another excellent stay. The location remains as beautiful and stunning as ever, with immaculate grounds and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The staff throughout the resort are consistently respectful, friendly and eager to help. A special mention must go to our resident host, Ashni, who was outstanding. She was extremely attentive and ensured that all restaurant reservations, golf tee times and leisure activities were arranged smoothly and communicated clearly. When our first choices were unavailable, she always offered alternatives promptly. We would absolutely look to work with Ashni again on a future visit. The food was excellent throughout our stay. Ginja, the Asian restaurant, was our clear favourite and never failed to impress. An evening at the Château was another highlight, both for the superb setting and the quality of the food. Our waiter, Pierre, was particularly knowledgeable and attentive, which made the experience even more memorable. The only criticism we would make is regarding service in the main bar, the Cavendish, which could be quite slow at times. It may be worth reviewing the balance between bar staff and waiting staff, particularly during busier periods. Golf was a major part of our holiday, and we played seven times during the stay. Since our last visit three years ago, the opening of the new La Réserve Golf Course has made this two-course resort even more appealing. The courses were noticeably busier than on previous visits, and we were glad we had pre-booked tee times for the first three days. Despite this, the courses never felt crowded, and most of the time we felt as though we had them almost to ourselves. This is one of those rare holidays where you leave feeling genuinely sad that it is over. For golfers and sun seekers alike, especially in January, Heritage Le Telfair truly is paradise. We will definitely return

We had a wonderful holiday at Heritage Telfair, I can’t recommend it highly enough! Everything was done to an incredibly high standard, from the beautiful resort and rooms to the fantastic food and restaurants. The kids club, activities and spa are all brilliant and made the stay really special. But the best thing was the people, everyone who works there is smiling and friendly, nothing is too much trouble and you can tell they’re all very passionate about Mauritius. We were assigned Ashni to help us with our stay and she really was exceptional - helped organise all our activities and bookings, checked in with us every day and went above and beyond to make it special. Even after we left, I realised I’d left my favourite jumper there and she found a way to get it back to me in the UK. I was over the moon! We can’t wait to go back and do it all again. Highly recommend!!

We’ve been fortunate enough to visit this lovely hotel five times and already yearn for another return. The hotel offers a diverse range of activities and dining options while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. However, the real asset is its staff. It’s impossible to list everyone who contributes to the overall experience; they’re all truly fantastic. Our host, lovely Ashni, has been exceptionally attentive, ensuring we have everything we need to enjoy our holiday. A huge thank you to Azagen and his team for their excellent room service. Kevin and his team always go above and beyond, looking for ways to spoil us. The activity centre team is fantastic and always ready for a game of football, padel or any other activity. The management is very receptive to feedback and constantly working to improve everyone’s experience. Some great changes have been introduced, including a heated swimming pool and families dining at Ginja and La Chateau on selected nights. We’re disappointed that foot golf is no longer available but hope it’s reintroduced soon. Thank you to the entire team for another wonderful holiday experience!
