Named for famed 19th century naturalist, Charles Telfair, Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort, Mauritius embodies beauty and elegance while celebrating its natural, unspoiled backdrop adrift in the Indian Ocean. Stretched across 15 acres atop the sandy shores of Bel Ombre Beach, Heritage Le Telfair's intimate village design includes 20 villas, each with 6-8 rooms that enjoy breathtaking beach views, private balconies, and floor-to-ceiling windows that permit abundant natural light to flow into the expansive living quarters. With design inspired by the French Colonial period on the island, rooms are outfitted with dark wood, over sized four-poster beds, lavish drapery and textiles, and a soft palette of light blue, green, and brown hues. En-suite bathrooms include claw-foot tubs in suites, walk-in showers, spacious dressing facilities, and plush bathrobes. At Heritage Le Telfair the smallest details are handled with the greatest care, because your comfort, pleasure, and experience are top priority.

For me this is one of the most beautiful hotels on the island and the team and their attention to detail simply is exceptional.

This was our 3rd visit to Le Telfair (previously stayed at the Awali). Our room was beautiful and in an ideal position with great views of the ocean. Housekeeping was excellent. Bar staff were delightful and attentive. The golf courses are fantastic and on the Gourmet Bliss package you can play La Reserve - quite a challenge! Booking well in advance is a must. We found the food portions to be a bit on the generous side. Perhaps smaller plates, especially at lunch, would be better. There is a good choice of restaurants - best to book when you arrive. If on the Gourmet Bliss package then you have a Resident host who can organise anything you wish to do. All in all, it's a great place for a very pleasant holiday especially if you are a golfer.

This was the 3rd year we stayed at this resort. FANTASTIC! You feel instantly welcome and wanted on arrival. The atmosphere is second to none. All the staff are totally devoted to make everything happen for you. The ladies looking after the gardens are wonderful. The rooms are just what you want. If you are a golfer there is no better place to be. The variety of restaurants on offer is great. Our butler Ashni organised everything for us and was always on call for anything we might need. In fact it was the 3rd year we had the pleasure of being looked after by Ashni , so she has now become our friend for ever. Planning a return next year and for more years to come after that.

This hotel fails to deliver anything close to a 5-star experience. Service is slow, disorganised, and often unprofessional, with staff appearing poorly trained and unable to handle basic requests efficiently. Guests are frequently left waiting, ignored, or forced to repeat requests multiple times. The food is overpriced and inconsistent, with long delays and frequent mistakes in orders. Cleanliness standards are unacceptable, with reports of poorly maintained rooms and lack of attention to detail. Overall, the hotel suffers from poor management, weak organisation, and a clear lack of quality control. For the price charged, the experience is far below expectations. Not recommended at all—completely unjustified pricing for the level of service provided.
