Named for famed 19th century naturalist, Charles Telfair, Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort, Mauritius embodies beauty and elegance while celebrating its natural, unspoiled backdrop adrift in the Indian Ocean. Stretched across 15 acres atop the sandy shores of Bel Ombre Beach, Heritage Le Telfair's intimate village design includes 20 villas, each with 6-8 rooms that enjoy breathtaking beach views, private balconies, and floor-to-ceiling windows that permit abundant natural light to flow into the expansive living quarters. With design inspired by the French Colonial period on the island, rooms are outfitted with dark wood, over sized four-poster beds, lavish drapery and textiles, and a soft palette of light blue, green, and brown hues. En-suite bathrooms include claw-foot tubs in suites, walk-in showers, spacious dressing facilities, and plush bathrobes. At Heritage Le Telfair the smallest details are handled with the greatest care, because your comfort, pleasure, and experience are top priority.

Le Tefair is a boutique hotel of understated luxury, with two quality golf courses. Restaurants are all worth a mention however the standout for me has always be Chateau Bel Ombre.

We had a fantastic time at Heritage Telfair – even the weather couldn’t dampen our spirits! The staff were absolutely lovely – incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile. We've stayed at four different resorts across the island, and hands down, this was the best hospitality we've experienced. Food was particularly good at O’Grill and Le Palmier (dinner). A special shoutout to the two Nathaniels, Abhi, Salomon (who took great care of us at the beach), and Glen at the Coco Shack – such brilliant hosts! The Gourmet Bliss and golf package were both top-notch, and we were seriously impressed by the range and quality of offerings throughout the hotel’s many venues. La Reserve was a highlight of our trip, phenomenal course and views! The buggy service between the hotel, golf course, and restaurants was super convenient too – a really nice touch. The property itself is stunning and clearly very well run. The only small downside for us was the beach – it's not really ideal for swimming as it's quite shallow. But apart from that, we honestly couldn’t fault a thing. Amazing stay!

This was our third time at Le Telfair and we were welcomed like long lost family by the team and our host Ashni. Fabulous location, wonderful staff and some lovely upgrades in the finishing touches that really made our stay wonderful. Including some adult only areas/ nights, protein snacks in the gym and additional beach front seating. The older family members (with reduced mobility) we were with have also been several times and the team at the hotel really looked after their every need - and went above and beyond! The new golf course is in a stunning location...certainly not for the feint hearted - a great addition to the resort with it's stunning club house. The food, particularly Ginja restaurant was great all round - a very good selection depending on your taste. All round a fabulous hotel - we'll be back!

I would like to thank Salomon at Adult bar and family bar for his excellent service and kindness. I would also greatly like to thank Jayden and Johnathan at Cavendish bar for their excellent service, friendliness and kindness. These 3 gentlemen stood out to us and made our experience even greater.

Great hotel with plenty to do on site, good food and drink across plenty of restaurants, and excellent provision for children which gave us time to relax and play some tennis/padel (thanks to Swadish and the rest of the team). Hoping to be back next year!
