Named for famed 19th century naturalist, Charles Telfair, Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort, Mauritius embodies beauty and elegance while celebrating its natural, unspoiled backdrop adrift in the Indian Ocean. We have been very often to the telfair the last 10 years. I still like very much the style of the hotel, kindness of the staff (Thanks Ashley, Melvin) and overall the experience is very good. But they are a few things that have not been improving despite the price increase after the renovation. After Renovation : I m not a fan of the new pool surrounding. The stone on the floor were better for me than the sand. If you want sand you go to the beach. Also there is now less sun chair which led to the behaviour that you find in other hotels, where some people putting their towels to book the chairs for the full day when nobody is here. You need to change this. Restaurant : IN general good food and ok service (apart Ashley who is always a great waiter) The Anabella has up and down. Sometimes it's excellent and the service is great, sometimes the food is just ok (I.e Fish overcooked) and the service is poor (waited 1h between 2 plates from the menu). It need to be much more consistent for a 5 star. Ginja was great and Palmier also good experience despite the fact that we were both sick after eating there on our last day. possibly the raw Tuna. Golf : beautiful Golf and good quality. but be prepared to pay a lot for the cart (2000 Roupies for 2 ??) , wait a lot as it's overcrowded with a lot of not very good player, and have an inexistant service if I compare to the Anahita Golf where we stayed the first week of our vacation. So the experience can be frustrating. We have been told than they align the price on the paradise Hotel, But I m not sure the experience and quality is the same. Just be careful to not make it too expensive or you need to really increase the quality in some domains. Next year I will consider the Telfair but I will also look elsewhere as my experience this year was not as good as the previous years. If I compare to the Anahita, my overall experience there was better.

We have just arrived back after a 2 week holiday at this fabulous place. From the moment we arrived to the day we had to leave 1st class service, accommodation and food. I would recommend Gormet Bliss. Melvin our host was brilliant he could not do enough for us, from booking all our meals in various of the restaurants for our whole stay, he always had a friendly smile everyday, what an absolute gem he is, we miss him. In fairness all the staff are courteous in general!! my only gripe was that one or two of the staff in the Cavendish were not as alert as most places, if you sat outside!! Restaurants were all good with the exception of the Italian in the Awali Hotel. The Chateaux was second to none, you must try this place when you visit. Weather was a bit mixed whilst we were there but it was still 28/ 30 degrees most days. We would definitely like to return here one day. Once again thanks to Melvin, he made our holiday complete.

Perfect was there on a gourmet bliss package..the staff was very attentive and diligent. the moment we entered the hotels we were welcome by all the staffs and served a cold citronella drink which was delicious. Cold towels to refresh which was most welcome because it was very hot. We met Khemraj the person who looked after our booking and dedicated staff for our entire stay. he made sure we were at ease the whole staff. The room was so spacious and clean.. the minibar filled with everything we needed. The hotel, surroundings with heated swimming pool was so amazing day and night. the food was really delicious! the pizza at le palmier is a must try! the bed was so comfy. the amenities were spot on smell so nice! you could smell stylish the most you step in to the reception area. Will definitely come back. Thank you all for your most warm welcome and excellent service.

Amazing! i can go back to this place any time! Was here on the courmet blizz (all inclusive), at it was a blast! I can talk from now, and till tomorrow about every thing, but you should go experience your self. But i want to highlight a few things anyway. 1. Ashley!! The breakfast waiter at Annabellas! If some one from the management read this review please say hello from him to me, and me whole family. He is the best, he was kind, he knew what i wanted to have the second i stepped in to the place. Im a michelin waiter my self. and i can tell a good waiter when i see him! you gotta hold on to this guy! say hello to him, Kasper from Denmark :) 2. The Lunch restaurant "Palmier" at the beach. Rishi i think his name was, the head chef. great job. but also to all the other chefs and waiters around this place. truly amazing food! 3. The gin'ja restaurant! that was an experience, went there 3 times when we were there, and every time it was truly amazing. Teeluck the outlet manager and his team is crazy amazing. made our dinners at this restaurant a pleasant stay!. 4. And then for a not so good experience. we have booked table for the indian restaurant Zafrani before we got here. and then we got there 15 mins earlier that we booked, and were told to wait until 21.00. and that is no problem. then we come back at 21.00. but the waiters have given the table away to 6 other people, (we are 8 people). we waited 30 mins, before the waiters came with a solution, and they couldn't move the people the have seated wrong. well, mistakes happens, but this is the only bad experience we had for 9 days ;) Best Regards.
