The Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast

We had a wonderful long weekend enhanced by our experience during our stay - warm efficient staff, great quality food and dog friendly. Location was perfect with secure car parking. Our room was ideal for our purposes and all staff were extremely warm and efficient, particularly Peter, Neville and Gerry. Thank you....we will return.

Very nice 5 star hotel. We stayed here as part of a tour. Rooms were larger than other hotels that we stayed in Ireland. The food was great and the staff were courteous and helpful. I would stay here again.

Poor experience, unfortunately. I was told to book adjoining rooms as my daughter wanted her own space when we arrived at the hotel there was a mixup with names and there was two families with our last name in the Hotel. Their suitcases were brought to our room when we already had ours then went to make a cup of tea there was Coffee in the kettle which we realised after we’re drunk it cups were dirty complained and they brought up chocolates after I rung down for a kettle in and it never came my daughter then became ill and had to stay in the room. We told her not to answer the door if anyone came as we’ve gone down for breakfast a man knocked and kept knocking so she left it. We had placed a do not disturb on both doors but he entered anyway with the kettle hours later..into my daughter who’s only 14 she was very scared. The front of House couldn’t be more apologetic though we had 10% off our bill and free food to the room for her as she was poorly. The front of our staff are spot-on. They can’t do enough for you bar the concierge who are dealing with a customer in front keep talking and leave you to stand there for 15 minutes just to drop a car key in the manager did apologise to my husband as he’s been waiting 15 minutes but still no excuse for a luxury Hotel we were really disappointed but as I say the front of our staff were excellent. The food was spot-on. We didn’t have one bad meal there the scones the afternoon tea is well worth going there. I just wouldn’t stay in the hotel again.

Friendly staff, particularly accommodating & helpful. Centrally located, close to several pubs & eateries. Rooms were very comfortable, clean & fairly spacious. Must admit - the hairdryer could be replaced with a continuous “on” button - rather annoying….. Bar staff were great & the manager at breakfast was brilliant. Would highly recommend.

This is our second stop at this five star hotel. i’m not sure whether we upgraded last time although we had a really nice room it was a lot smaller and maybe the bathroom was beginning to look a little tired. there is a turn down made service in the evenings and you do get plenty of free water and complimentary chocolates left on your pillow. plenty of choice at breakfast full fry up and continental. We visited the hotel bar on a Monday night thinking we would be the only people in there however it was really busy and compliments to one of the bar staff who was running around looking after everybody. I didn’t catch his name but I was impressed. would I stop here again? Yes, I would can recommend.
