The Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast

This is one of our favorite hotels in the World. Great location in the city center with a very short walk to the Grand Central Station, tons of great restaurants and next door to the Grand Opera House. Old world charm and well designed rooms making them not only functional but with a feeling of a larger space. Terrific service from the extremely helpful concierge team and a very nice breakfast.

Had big issues with this hotel based on the unfriendliness of check in staff and refusal to match the price based on what it showed on 3rd party website. When the reception staff were made aware you could see she couldn't be less interested in what I had to say and was not remotely interested. Stay at the Leonardo instead beside it, the rooms are not as pretty but the service is incomparable. Our stay at the Fitzwilliam was a gift and we left feeling very upset.

Wonderful afternoon tea experience. Staff were very attentive and professional. I am vegetarian and mentioned this at the start and they made sure that I was given vegetarian versions of sandwiches and starters.

Excellent stay! Staff was very warm and welcoming and the beds and the pillows were magnificent (we had some bad pillows throughout Ireland). The restaurant was exceptionally good … not sure who was giving the mediocre ratings … as everything was prepared with fresh ingredients and to gourmet standards. They offer a pre theater menu if you are an early eater (before 7) that had a great price point or you could order off the regular menu as well. Centrally located, quality hotel, excellent staff, and worth few extra dollars to bring our 3 weeks in Ireland to an amazing close!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Fitzwilliam. Just around the corner from Grand Central Station, and across the street from the famous Crown Bar. The staff are outstanding, the rooms are lovely and the food for both breakfast and dinner were excellent.
