All around great hotel. Feels like a boutique hotel with all the services of a big, full-service hotel. Rooms incredibly comfortable and stylish. Food at both the bar and the regular restaurant very good. Breakfast buffet very generous with wide selection. No need to order extra unless you want eggs. We used the concierge services for booking tours and for a referral to urgent care. Everyone at the concierge desk was incredibly resourceful and lovely to interact with. Hotel in excellent location.

We expected to stay in a 5 star hotel. This hotel came nowhere close to being able to call itself a 5 star based service. I was told they don’t do laundry on Sundays and that my laundry would only be back on Wednesday. After spending a day out sightseeing our room still had not been serviced at 3:30 pm. We sat in the lobby lounge for 30 minutes while waiters came and went without serving us so we had to go into the bar to order, once we did it took another 30 minutes for a cheese plate and glass of wine. The location is convenient and the facility is nice but the service has been lacking across the board. If you pay for 5 star hotel prices the service should be commensurate. Very disappointing experience. If you look at my reviews I have not had any bad reviews but I feel that if you spend this kind of money service should be at a certain standard and this hotel did. It provide that. I come from a service business background and am not hard to please. Unfortunately it felt like this place was almost trying to anger us at every turn.

During our recent stay at The Fitzwilliam Hotel, we noticed some issues that didn’t meet the expected five-star standards. There is a lack of attention to detail in the room’s cleaning. Additionally, our check-in and check out experience felt less formal or as warm as expected for a hotel of this calibre. If you are used to staying in 5 Star Hotels you may be disappointed as it is more reminiscent of a 4 Star experience.

Very enjoyable stay in the Fitzwilliam, perfect location for exploring the city. The staff are friendly and courteous. We stayed in one of the corner rooms which was very comfortable with a great view of the city. Would be 100% happy to recommend this hotel to anyone.
