Great hotel very close to everything. Well appointed room with spacious bathroom. Concierge staff very helpful and welcoming. Front desk seemed a little unwelcoming maybe that is too harsh but just seemed not overly interested. I did have one complaint by second day there seemed to be a sewage smell coming from bathroom. As we didn’t want to move before we left we kept door closed. Let frontdesk know. No reply from hotel to date. I would give it another try if I return to Belfast.

First time my wife and I stayed in this hotel, we stay in Belfast a few times every year, this is the best one so far, room was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, great breakfast and the location was perfect, parking was just across the street in a safe car park. Would definitely use this hotel again

The Fitzwilliam hotel is lovely. We stayed in it Friday 31st night. We did ask for a quiet room but were given a room facing the Grosvenor Road which was really noisy so my husband went to change it. We were given another room towards the back of the hotel which was really quiet. The rooms are lovely I have to say. At around 5.30 I left my husband in the bar to go and have a both. I was ready to go with the candle lit and just realised there was no plug. I rang reception and they rang me back in ten minutes. They did not have a plug replacement but offered me another room. As I was meeting friends at 6.30 I had no time. So took a quick shower instead. The bed was so lovely and comfy the room was so quiet I slept like a baby. The next morning my husband went to settle the bill and the receptionist took £47.50 off our bill for the inconvenience of the bath plug. I thought this was so professional and kind. Breakfast was good: sausages absolutely amazing (homemade I thought) the bacon was also lovely. The rest of the fry was a little greasy I thought but service was excellent. We went to a show in the Opera house and it was so handy just next door. There was a particularly lovely member of staff at breakfast she was American with red hair. She was exceptional in her warmth and welcoming nature. Would I stay here again? Yes I definitely would we had a lovely stay. Also the car park is so handy just across the street and we were given £5 credit for the car park bill also. A very thoughtful member of staff on the desk looked after us. It was so lovely that I didn't have to bring the subject up with the receptionist she just sorted it out for us.

Good welcome and had the room key promptly, room was on the 8th floor ,good view of Belfast and Mountain area ,room was lovely with a card and some macaroons a nice touch ,brownie points for that. Its a lovely hotel joined onto the Belfast opera house which was great as thats where we were headed. The only negative was the Breakfast which i found boarded on shambalic, greating was fine ,but didnt seem to have me registered for the breakfast which id already pre booked ,ok sort that later on and kept it moving ,showen to are table and informed to of the selecting and self service ,ordered tea and coffee, went to the self service got sorted and came back twenty minutes later,no tea or coffee or order taken for main breakfast, had to call the waitress over to get the tea and coffee brought no milk ,had to get that myself ,finally brought the main eggs benedict it was lovely but lacked presentation, meanwhile dishes on the small table were stacking up ,had to do that myself aswell, for £250 pounds ,and £18 per breakfast attention to detail several lacking around the breakfast experience, having stayed in several city cemtre hotels,if demamd and expect better, ill be taken my money somewhere else next time around the breakfast experience a major let down.
