Beautiful room with spectacular views of harbor and Bellingham Bay. Large room complete with large balcony, gas fireplace, and Jacuzzi and shower in bathroom. Very comfortable mattress. Snow-white bedding and towels. Staff very courteous, pleasant and attentive. Free secure underground parking. Enjoyed walking the trails on the bay. Restful and relaxing stay.

Hotel Bellwether has set the bar pretty high, not sure if I can stay in a regular sized hotel room ever again. We stayed in an 800 square foot suite with a view of the Bellingham marina & San Juan Islands. Soooo BEAUTIFUL!! We planned on staying only two nights, but within just minutes of seeing our room, I asked the front desk to extend our stay. Very friendly front desk staff, super clean rooms, underground secured free parking, & abundant beautiful areas to walk on the grounds & nearby parks. Can't say enough... Bellingham Bay trip to Hotel Bellwether, go now! :o)

This is an exceptional hotel. Unusually helpful, friendly staff. Very comfortable, lovely room. Fantastic restaurant. We were completely pleased. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The lobby and all public spaces are beautiful and aopealing. This is a hotel we'll return to, the next opportunity we have.

Well, I stayed at the Bellwether for 5 days, and live in Bellingham. They have great food, service......BUT......the manager of the bar/ restaurant must not be a happy person...'.I had 4 drinks at bar with an Irish resident, and they cut us off at the bar. Seriously, we are low...key, and never raised our voices. Bar rules are ludicrous. Don't go there for fun.

We are family of 4 (2 kids and a dog). We stayed in king size suite. Even though I liked the location of the hotel by the water front, it wasn't good for the money spent vs satisfaction to have a pleasant stay. Pros: 1. Very near to the water front. Nice view and great for summer holiday. 2. Lots of restaurants near by and very close to downtown. 3. Easy parking. 4. The staff were really good and helpful once we checked in. Cons: 1. There was only 1 king size bed, no additional bed. The room has a sofa come bed with a memory form mattress, but that would would cave-in when you sleep causing body ache and will cause an uncomfortable sleep. 2. I overlooked the amenities when booked through priceline.com. There is no complimentary breakfast. The room service is very expensive. It would be nice if they have swimming pool. 3. The size of the room is surprisingly so small for a king size suite. Its just the bed and a sofa come bed divided by a small fence like partition. If you have 4 suitcases (for 2 adult and 2 kids for 4 days, in my case) you wont have enough storage in the closet. 4. Pets dont stay for free. Its additional $25 on top of the room rental which is over $250 (depending on the dates you choose). You have to read the fine prints. 5. I called up the hotel after booking it through priceline.com to check if they have a microwave oven, There is no Microwave oven in the room. On top of that, the hotel representative upgraded my room to a different room as the king size suite I booked through priceline.com did not have sofa come bed in it. 6. The mini fridge in the room was just a name sake. It wont keep things cool. If you expect it to be cold on a hot summer day. The milk carton I stored for the kids was spoiled in day 2 of during our 4 day stay. I wont recommend this hotel for family with kids unless you don't care about spending extra dollars just for waterfront view.
