This is a very nice hotel. Our bell staff were very friendly and helpful when we checked in. We were very pleased with the view from our room overlooking the water and marina. My wife liked the deep spa tub with doors that could open into the main room and allow a view out to the water. We had a large king bed, plenty of storage, a comfy chair, another chair and a desk. There was also a small mini-fridge and an assortment of items to go with it. Great place to stay before taking a class with San Juan Sailing.

For a quiet location with great views of Bellingham bay you’ll want to make this a must visit location. With a limited menu the options are quite good and tasty. We watched a sail boat race outside the huge windows while enjoying a leisurely paced breakfast with friends. Ambience is quite nice with tasteful music selection. Patrons seem to respond to the collective choice of quiet conversation which we appreciate.

We stayed in a beautiful room on the first floor. The view off the large private deck with so nice, the boats in the Harbor with the Sound in the background. Mountains in the distance. The King room with fireplace and jetted tub was stellar. The Lighthouse Bar & Grill was very good. If you are flying in or out of Bellingham International Airport this is the place to stay! Loved it!

My colleague and I stayed at the hotel for three nights for a recent business trip. We were surprised that we had a corporate rate at this hotel, so we took full advantage of the beautiful view from the hotel rooms. We had executive Plaza rooms which did not face the ocean, but we were still at a pleasant view of the bay, Mount Baker in the distance, and the lovely shops and restaurants below. Hotel itself is very quiet, safe, easy to navigate, and parking was a zip. Our rooms were clean, well-maintained, and the linens were fresh and clean each day. Restaurant service was very good, especially for breakfast. The continental breakfast left little to be desired. With competitors offering a much better free breakfast, this would be the only area that I would suggest that the hotel could step it up a bit. Otherwise, this will be our go to hotel when we arrive for business, and it’s also a great place for a long romantic weekend with your partner. Well done, Bellwether.

We just spent a wonderfull evening wining and dining at one of the best Pacific Northwest small hotels, the Bellwether in Bellingham Washington 30 miles from home with no traffic. Very nice rooms with patio bay views, sunset views and the correct amount of privacy. The dining is superb and the staff are welcoming and helpful. Seattle (70 miles from our home in Mt Vernon) will see us less. M and J in Mt Vernon WA
