Reviews for Spring House Bequia
This lovely little find is amazing! Once offered privately as a complete rental, this little gem has now been developed into a 10 bespoke room boutique hotel. The staff are amazing!! They are all very knowledgeable and keen to unsure that you truly have a wonderful experience during your stay. The food is lovely! I ate in the restaurant every evening and loved every meal. Vanda (the chef/cook/cleaner/bottle washer and house maid), is very flexible and happy to tailor the menu to your specific needs. Petrice (Assistant chef/ cook/etc…And sooo sweet!), is also on hand to ensure you have everything that you need. Kong (The King) the front house/bar manager, ensures your meals and drinks arrive when you’re ready, and he’s good for a bit of conversation too! There is great transport available here! Glen (driver/handyman/tech man etc), always made himself available to ensure we had transport to and from town. This was really appreciated as our week stay was over the New Year period so we were keen to enjoy the delights of the Island. Your experience begins with a warm reception from Jason or Dexter. After a few formalities you’re shown to your room, which was lovely!! Great bed (a four poster which is netted for mozzies, but the AC worked so well, I didn’t see any in my room) great TV, and its pre loaded with App’s for the internet/YouTube etc, so it’s really handy! The room is all you need and tastefully decorated. What a great experience from what feels like a family run hotel. Can’t wait to go back! 5 Stars!! :o)

I stayed here with 2 friends on a work trip from the 29th December till the 4th Jan. I can honestly say it exceeded our expectations and I would highly reccomend you stay here. It took about 15mins to drive there from the ferry port, it's tucked up in the hills. The staff are some of the most friendly people we have met. Jason the manager was very welcoming and assisted us with our rooms, he made sure our rooms were together so we could sit on the balcony without being separated. Vander and her daughter Petrice who are the chefs are so lovley and kind natured. Kong is the barman and waiter he made sure we had everything we needed, anytime of the day. Vander came down with the flu for a couple if days but still turned up to cook for us. We made sure we ate dinner early so she could go home. Petrice stepped in too cook...and and she did a good job! The food was fresh every day and even though there is a menu they add their own twists, portion sizes are very generous so make sure you don't over eat at lunch!! Breakfast was always lovely and what made it even nicer was sitting looking out to the sea. Glenn picked us up from the Ferry and then became our personal driver during our stay. He took us anywhere we wanted to go and whenever. Rooms were attended to on a daily basis by Petrice and they were always looking and smelling clean. The hotel has had an amazing new bar built with wonderful swings installed to sit at the bar. There is also a nice Jacuzzi which looks out to the sea, it's very nice to sit in there with a glass of champagne during the day or the evening. During the week Glenn had to leave to go to another hotel and Dexter replaced him, he was also very nice and took us back to the ferry on our day of departure. To sum it up this hotel is not a chain and isn't a 5 star resort hotel...but it is a 5 star boutique hotel and the staff and service make it that.

Spent two nights here whilst travelling up through the islands with friends. Although the property was undergoing some poolside renovations during our stay Dexter and his team did their utmost to made our stay both relaxing and memorable in equal measure. Nothing was ever too much trouble and the level of customer service delivered was faultless. Would definitely recommend Spring Hotel to anyone staying in Bequia who likes to get away from the town and its occasional cruise ships. Would recommend a visit to the Hegg Turtle Sanctuary and a Firefly Plantation Tour if you are looking for something local to do..

We stayed one night after taking the ferry over from St. Vincent ... We came to Bequia to meet our one-week TradeWinds sailing trip to the Grenadines ... The hotel sits up on the hill, amongst the trees, overlooking a gorgeous bay ... We stayed in the "Bequia" room and the view and sea breezes were spectacular ... But the best part of the Spring House are the people! ... we send our love and so many thanks to Chef Vanda and Security/Driver Dexter ... what beautiful people! ... Since we were there in "low season" (September) my wife and I were the only guests at the hotel ... Vanda and Dexter treated us as though we were royalty ... being humble Texans as we are, it was such a memorable time .... Karen, the owner of the Spring House, was off the island so we did not get to meet her ... however, she was so wonderful in her pre-trip emails ... she knows how to take care of her guests! Dexter will pick you up whether you come in either at the airport or ferry ... he will also run you into town if you should decide to eat there ... not sure why one would want to do that since Vanda is such a wonderful chef & hostess ... she will greet you with a rum punch as Dexter secures your bags to your room ... Had we known before what a gorgeous and heavenly place the Spring House was, we would have booked to come in earlier ... I promise we will be back! John & Angella San Antonio, Texas

We stayed at Spring House in April, 2017 and it was fantastic! You feel like you are living in a Bali tree house. The views are spectacular! The rooms are beautiful, made from local wood, great linens, custom bathrooms, and air conditioned. Except for the bedrooms, most of the place is outdoors and I cannot believe how spotlessly clean every nook and cranny is. It's so very quiet and peaceful. Vonda and Dexter do an amazing job. Dexter is the hardest working guy I've ever seen. He's so nice and pleasant. We kept bumping into him even after we checked out and he was still so nice and friendly. Spring House is about 15 minutes out of the main town, so if you want to go anywhere Dexter will drive you (assuming you don't have your own car.) Vonda's cooking is amazing! The only caution I have is there is no food there unless you have prearranged meals with Vonda. It's also not walking distance to anywhere to eat - so make sure you prearrange meals if you don't want to go to town to eat and perhaps bring some of your own snacks in case you get hungry. We would not hesitate to stay at Spring House again - it was absolutely lovely!
