My daughter and I had a spa day and brunch at the Claremont, and it was absolutely wonderful—we’ll definitely be back! The parking was easy and the resort was beautiful. Incredible views! Amy, Patty, and Yolanda in the spa were exceptional. They provided top-notch services and even helped me pick out products from the shop. We enjoyed a delicious brunch at Limewood, where the host greeted us warmly and seated us at the Chef’s table. Yes—the Chef actually came out to visit! Evangelina was friendly, attentive, and truly made our day. This experience was so special that we’ve decided it’s the start of a new tradition for us!

I work at one of the most prestigious finance companies in California and every day, I am surrounded by excellence. I travel often for business and give a lot at my job. When I met Effie at The Claremont Hotel front desk, she redefined the definition of excellence. She was meticulous in her service, warm in her welcome, gracious with her energy, and professional. I had traveled and worked all day. After one interaction with Effie, I was smiling, laughing, and excited about the relaxation and luxury I would experience at The Claremont Hotel. For those of you in the service industry who have ever read the book Unreasonable Hospitality - it speaks about how to create an experience that guests will never forget. Effie did that for me. Because of her, I will book this hotel every single visit. I want my company to throw their holiday party here. And I kid you not, I spoke about Effie’s service to all my friends and family. They were amazed. I am amazed. Thank you, Effie for your service and for providing a truly exceptional experience. I’m proud to call The Claremont my hotel of choice and even my home.

Love this hotel and location for a local weekend getaway. Sara was a big help with booking and other requests. We love staying here and exploring the Berkeley neighborhoods.

First time visiting, came with a friend for a weekend trip. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful, she walked us through all the amenities at the hotel we were not aware of. We had initially picked a regular room but she was kind to offer us different upgrade options and we ended up picking a room with a view. She made sure we have everything we need during our visit. Nowadays i rarely encounter hotel staff that was so polite, patient, and friendly, it was a delight. She made our trip so much better during our stay!

Wonderful staff at this hotel. We arrived early and Effie at the front desk was so welcoming and accommodating. She went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. The restaurant staff and manager were so hospitable as well both times we ate there. While the hotel is aging and a little rough around the edges, but it’s still a classic and the staff/service makes it keep its panache.
