We stayed at the Claremont on a visit from NYC to the Bay Area for my nephew’s wedding, which was in Piedmont. We had a lovely stay - the rooms were clean and spacious, the breakfasts/brunches were yummy and the pool — especially in November — was delightful! Effie, who checked us in and assisted us with a few additional requests, was very helpful and made us feel like VIPs. Whenever we need a place to stay in the East Bay, the Claremont will be at the top of our list!

My daughter and I had a spa day and brunch at the Claremont, and it was absolutely wonderful—we’ll definitely be back! The parking was easy and the resort was beautiful. Incredible views! Amy, Patty, and Yolanda in the spa were exceptional. They provided top-notch services and even helped me pick out products from the shop. We enjoyed a delicious brunch at Limewood, where the host greeted us warmly and seated us at the Chef’s table. Yes—the Chef actually came out to visit! Evangelina was friendly, attentive, and truly made our day. This experience was so special that we’ve decided it’s the start of a new tradition for us!

I work at one of the most prestigious finance companies in California and every day, I am surrounded by excellence. I travel often for business and give a lot at my job. When I met Effie at The Claremont Hotel front desk, she redefined the definition of excellence. She was meticulous in her service, warm in her welcome, gracious with her energy, and professional. I had traveled and worked all day. After one interaction with Effie, I was smiling, laughing, and excited about the relaxation and luxury I would experience at The Claremont Hotel. For those of you in the service industry who have ever read the book Unreasonable Hospitality - it speaks about how to create an experience that guests will never forget. Effie did that for me. Because of her, I will book this hotel every single visit. I want my company to throw their holiday party here. And I kid you not, I spoke about Effie’s service to all my friends and family.
