Claremont Resort & Club

The Claremont Hotel is a special experience no matter when you go or which room you stay in. However, my stay felt like the entire universe conspiring to shower me with blessings!!! In brief, three years ago, I was at a hospital down the street from the hotel effectively fighting for my life as I healed from cancer. For 10 days I was on around the clock antibiotics and could barely leave the bed. But through Divine Providence, I had a room with a huge window that had the Claremont hotel centered right in the middle of it. For all of those days, I stared up at the Claremont day and night. I vowed to myself that when I was better I would stay a night at the Claremont for my birthday and get to see the other side of the view: from the Claremont to the hospital and beyond. Well, three years later it happened! Unbeknownst to the wonderful desk clerk, Effie, it was my birthday and the stay was full of significance from this healing experience. The room for our reservation apparently didn’t have a view so we asked her to check other options. She saw that the amazing Tower Suite happened to be available and she offered it to us. Now mind you, this room goes for $3000 a night and is well worth it. However, our budget was not that. But, due to the last-minute change of the reservation and a sense the front we should have that room, she was able to extend us a phenomenal discount. We took her up on it. And then when she found out, it was my birthday, she spoiled us rotten!! When I went up to the room for the first time, I burst into tears immediately. First thing I saw was a window with a spectacular view, and right in the middle of the window was the hospital I had been staring out of all those days. And beyond the hospital was the expanse of the entire Bay area under blue skies and an otherworldly sunset. And then we went up to the actual tower and got to have the 360° view for our private enjoyment. I got to have my healing vow to myself fulfilled. I’ve been cancer free these three years. And the Claremont could not have been a more perfect or special birthday for me this year. Thank you, Effie!!! Beautiful place, and the gym and facilities are top notch, but some of the rooms are ridiculously bad. If they try to stick you in one of these sub-par rooms, definitely ask to be moved!

I am here today for my 12 annual sales kickoff. Effie greeted me at the welcome desk with a big hello and welcome back. She helped check me in and ran over to get me a drink - and also a hug. What a wonderful reception. Thank you.

Claremont Resort is gorgeous and amazing. All the staff are so welcoming and accommodating. A particular lady, Jeanne, at the concierge desk, really put the cherry on top. I wish I could know that lady personally because she was so amazing. Me and my two girlfriends inquired about the "haunted" aspect of the hotel and she was such a delight to converse with. We were disappointed she wasn't there the next morning! But we did get to see her again before we left. She's the best! The whole resort is wonderful, beautiful, and fun. I will be back.

We had an excellent experience for an overnight stay on New Year's Eve! We were greeted by the front desk with kind and carrying service and enjoyed an afternoon cocktail at the Limewood bar prior to going to our room. We were very impressed with the suite! It was classy and roomy with elegant touches throughout! There was a beautiful bay view from almost every angle of the suite! In our desires to enjoy the suite, the Limewood restaurant were able to accommodate us for a late dinner reservation. After a great dinner we enjoyed the remainder of the evening at the lounge for the New Year's Eve celebration, in which we experienced great cocktails, and appetizers well into the new year. The DJ kept us on the dance floor with great music all night long. The entire experience was wonderful and we look forward to returning soon!
