Lovely stay at the Claremont
Everything was lovely and our visit was greatly enhanced by Concierge Jennifer able assist with our car and Alcatraz reservations.

Great views
I would like to give a special thank you to Hannah at the front desk for her exceptional service. Although check-in was scheduled for 3:00 PM, we arrived around 11:00 AM simply intending to drop off our bags. She graciously accommodated us with an early check-in at no additional cost and provided us with a room featuring a beautiful view overlooking the city. The rest of the staff were equally friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel itself was clean, well-maintained, and very aesthetically pleasing. However, the fifth floor did have a noticeable musty odor, reminiscent of old or stale cigarette smoke. Additionally, the bed was quite firm, which may not suit those who prefer a softer mattress. The restaurant experience was average. While the staff were attentive and kind—kind enough to remove a drink I didn’t enjoy from the bill—the food and beverages did not particularly stand out. Overall, despite a few minor drawbacks, we had a positive experience and would consider staying here again in the future.

Another wonderful stay at the Claremont in Berkeley. The hotel is always beautiful and such a special place to visit. For us, it’s always a 10. The Club is truly something else, and the gym is amazing. The restaurant never disappoints, and Chef Joseph is incredibly talented. A special thank you to the concierge team, who were so sweet with our dog and made him feel just as welcome as we were with some great treats. We always love coming back here.
