Mandala hotel is centrally located and was close to many tourist spots, We had a lovely EXECUTIVE SUPERIOR SUITE on the 11th floor with a big terrace..which was facing POTSDAMER platz. The breakfast at FACIL was good but very MONOTONUS---SAMEFOOD with NO CHANGE all the 4 days we stayed-- which was boring. The reception was SO SMALL that we had to wait for 10-15 minutes to ask them anything BIG NEGATIVE. During CHECKOUT the girl at the reception said that the system is down and they cant settle our bills --the hotel had already blocked our card and after 4 international calls for the next 3 days they sent us a invoice copy with extra 20 euros charged for NO reason---which I had to follow up with 4-5 emails and then it was rectified...it was BIG HARASSMENT.

We had a 60sqm suite at the 8th floor. Fantastic view to the Sony Center and a small balcony. Beside this there is not much to say. We haven't seen many staff members, the front desk and the concierge seemed a little bit confused from time to time, but I guess sh**t happens, also in 5-star-hotels. However, we liked it. Car parking is accessible via Ludwig-Beck-Strasse. (the signage is pretty poor...) The Alte Potsdamer Strasse is right behind the Hotel, nice restaurants and bars. The park Am Gleisdreieck is not far, perfect for the kids and a nice beer garden from a craft brewery. Tiergarten park is also very close, Brandenburger Tor is just a few minutes walk. - We loved the location. Just a small thing: We found the blankets were more suitable during the winter. To warm for July...

Stayed at this beautiful hotel for 3 nights following a recommendation from a friend! We weren't disappointed! Easy check in friendly staff beautiful design! Upgraded to an executive suite which was fabulous plenty of space felt more like an apartment! Breakfast had plenty to offer for all tastes! Central location directly opposite the Sony Center! Easy walking distance to all the major attractions although the transport links are very good! I'd recommend walking if able to get a real feeling for the city! Shopping complexes nearby looked amazing although we didn't have time to experience any of them! Have read numerous uncomplimentary reviews, however, we wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

This hotel is superb with great attention to detail BUT we were very disappointed with the service. We had a 2 night stay. Our room overlooked the street and was very noisy so we had to keep the windows closed. It had been a hot day and when we returned on the first night the room was very hot. In order to sleep we put on the air conditioning. It did not work. These things happen and we reported it the next day. They cam to our room and looked at the room. When we returned from dinner out we were told that May is not summer and that they did not turn on air-conditioning until summer. We had a second sleepless night. This hotel pays great attention to detail In many ways BUT the primary purpose of a hotel is that you have a good nights sleep. This is why I give only 1star. The management would not turn on the a/c despite advertising this as one of the amenities of the hotel
