The Mandala Hotel

Our stay at the Mandala exceeded our expectations! We were road weary when we arrived after a long train ride from Amsterdam. The staff was friendly, professional and accommodating. We dined at the “casual” on property restaurant, Qui. Although the restaurant was fully booked, we were able to sit at the bar where the service and food was on par with a five star restaurant. The breakfast was incredible! Service professionals were ready from the start to keep you happy and assist with any breakfast requests. The elaborate breakfast buffet offered a smorgasbord of German specialties; breads, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, meats and more! The eggs Benedict, poached eggs and scrambled eggs were perfectly prepared and presented. We loved the iPad in our room for easy access to information about Berlin including activities and restaurant recommendations. We were able to check out late to relax before our next travel destination. We are grateful for the team of professionals at the Mandala who made our stay memorable and enjoyable! Thank you!

We spent a four night break at the Mandala and were deeply impressed by this hotel. First and foremost, the staff, without exception, were fantastic - a mix of attentiveness, efficiency and great friendliness. The rooms are very spacious, pristine and luxurious. They are very modern. Breakfast - great, both the food and excellent service. Location - fabulous. Finally, the room rates are highly competitive, especially when compared to other five star properties in Berlin.

We had an excellent stay at the Mandala Hotel. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with an extensive view over the city. The staff were incredibly helpful, welcoming and very accommodating - customer service is superb. The food was delicious, with wonderful service in both bar and restaurant. The hotel is also within walking distance of so many sites of historical interest, art and culture. We learned so much during our three days in Berlin and will definitely return again. Of course, when we do, we will stay in The Mandala.

We chose this hotel for the Suites available and location with underground parking. Plus the restaurants. Everything about the Mandala says quality. The staff are super polite and nothing is too much trouble. If we ever come back to Berlin, there is only place we'll be staying.

I really relied on all the good reviews for this hotel however, it was just okay. Honestly, I was disappointed. The room was okay, the amenities provided were rather minimal and definitely didn’t feel like a five star “luxury” hotel. I forgot to bring conditioner and requested it from the staff because there wasn’t in the room either. They promised to bring me some and I waited for it all evening but at some point I gave up and went to bed. The bathroom just seemed outdated and there was only a bath tub which was very deep . I would imagine for older people it would be not be safe at all & also water pressure was too low. Unfortunately the hotel was definitely below a 5-star standard and I did have higher expectations especially with all the very good reviews. Location was good and friendly staff. I didn’t have the breakfast so I can’t comment on that.
