About the Hotel

The riverfront Meliá Berlin is a top pick among business travelers because of The Level, a seventh floor, royal red executive club with meeting rooms and special perks. Leisure travelers also love Meliá for its convenient location and unusually colorful rooms. There’s no dull beige-and-taupe color scheme here: Fuchsia headboards and pillows pop against mint carpet, and the effect is light and cheerful. Berlin’s top attractions are a brief train ride away – you can be at the Berlin Wall Memorial in six minutes, and the five internationally renowned institutions on Museum Island are just 10 minutes away.

Reviews for Melia Berlin

Other than Checkin, a really lovely experience.

We stayed here between Christmas and New Years with my mother in law (separate room) and my husband and son (2). When we arrived, despite being after check in time, our room was not ready, they provided us some drinks for the wait. After waiting over an hour, we were still told to wait. We eventually were given a room, but this was not the room we had booked, as we had booked for a bath for our toddler, and none of the baby facilities we had booked were ready. MIL's room had an interlocking door, and upon arrival to her room, this was still unlocked! We were not the room next door! We were also told that only MIL's room had breakfast included, despite all being on the same booking and being sure we had booked it. We chose to eat there once because of this, as the breakfast add on was expensive... On checkout we were informed we actually DID have breakfast included!! When the problems were rectified, this hotel was in a great location, and staff (other than on initial check in) were really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good (but expensive), and I probably would stay again, because apart from the starting hiccup, the hotel was lovely.

The Level!

The Level is great, quiet with lovely drinks and snacks. Staff are very sweet and cannot help enough. Room good too . Concierge and reception staff also helpful and in a variety of languages too. In a good spot by the station. Lots of shops and takeout and restaurants too.

Lovely modern, comfortable hotel in a great location

Great location, quite comfortable room and friendly helpful staff. Train from the airport went straight to Friedrichstraße which was only round the corner from the hotel. Perfect for exploring all the main attractions and close to some lovely strolls and cafes near the river.

Melia, perfect location!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We stayed for five nights, we had a room with a river view, very spacious, clean and a very comfy bed! The hotel has a Tapas restaurant and bar, the food was excellent but recommend booking as it does get busy. We had the tapas plate for two, €50, sounds expensive but you get a lot for your money! The hotel location is perfect, the train station is directly opposite and is within walking distance of all the main attractions. The public transport is extremely cheap and easy to use, you can get tickets from reception if they have any available that day also they are very helpful if you are unsure where you are going etc (we also downloaded an app and found this a lot easier than buying tickets in the station) We found all the staff very helpful and friendly during our stay. The only negatives that we had was the Internet was only available in reception as they were having problems with it and also there was an event on which meant the restaurant and bar was closed to guests, which was a little disappointing, sitting in your room and drinking from the mini bar isn't quite the same! But this never spoilt our stay and we would definitely return!

Great hotel....

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Stayed here recently and this hotel is perfect for short breaks in Berlin given it's location, which is close to all the sights as well as the Friedrichstasse Station (which is literally across the street) which has a direct regular train to the airport. Our room was on the 7th floor and was pretty spacious for a European hotel and had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean and very quiet. Only minor criticisms - 1) the room always seemed to pretty warm (and despite attempts we couldn't find any kind of air con) although the windows did open. To be fair I didn't ask at reception and this may have been rectified through them and 2) the shower, within the bath was always a bit of scary adventure getting into as it was a fair height, whilst trying not to go all your length on the slide like bath. Breakfast was a buffet and food was plentiful and pretty varied and of a good standard. There was also an omelette/egg/pancake station. Would highly recommend....
