Rooms are tasteful and warm, outfitted in Biedermeier furniture with optional classical background music. Hop on the U2 train line – just a block from the hotel – bound for the KaDeWe Department Store, the equivalent of nine football fields of shopping housed in a building that survived Germany’s 20th Century destruction unscathed. Reviews for The Regent, Berlin
The Regent is an elegant and comfortable hotel. We had a spacious room and a great bathroom- separate stall shower. The location was perfect for touring Berlin and the neighborhood had many restaurants and shops. Only drawback was the intermittently poor Internet connection. My husband and I each had a phone plus a computer and iPad- pretty typical nowadays. The hotel did send someone to check our router, but the problem persisted with sometimes one device losing the connection while another still worked. Don't know if any other guests also found this to be a problem.

Handy central location about 2 minutes from the Konzert Haus (which is a stop for some hop-on hop-pff buses) and say 12-15 minute walk to museum island. A great bed, and definitely the best comforter ever. One downside is continental breakfast is 28 euro pp and full is 39 euro.

This is a lovely hotel in a good area. The staff are friendly and helpful and the furnishings and decor beautiful. However the internet is the worst I have come across in all my travels around the world. If you are happy being online for 3 minutes, then off for 5 , on for 2, off for 3, constantly having to reset the network by going into your settings, or if you are not bothered about having internet services at all, then this could be the hotel for you. However, if you want to browse the net for more than a couple of minutes or do any kind of business while you are here, then you will have problems. This is an easily resolvable problem but the motivation doesn't seem to be there. Poor show really, not 5*, and the worst of it is the staff remain totally unconcerned.

A wonderful luxurious hotel with a great location and fantastic service. I would absolutely comeback here. The building is beautiful, and the restaurant is fantastic. The breakfast buffet is second to none. Highly recommend.
