Reviews for The Beverly Hills Hotel

Perfection

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We first started going to Beverly Hills hotel about 5 years ago and it is still one our favourites. We personally contact a lovely girl, Chloe Shohed ( front of house director ) and she sorts everything out for us. The service the class the style never wavers. We are always upgraded and love our breakfast in the Polo Lounge. We can’t fault it and hope to be back again next year.

Just came for lunch here but was the best club sandwich I’ve had for a long time. The history around the hotel was amazing & in general was beautiful.

This hotel is extremely racist! My experience is that I came to the hotel to have breakfast at the restaurant Polo Lounge; and what I thought would be a slow relaxing Sunday ended up being a pending lawsuit for racial discrimination and a horrible experience. I had security harass me, coming to me telling me that I am not able to record (MYSELF) while ignoring 3 Caucasian females that were doing the exact same thing. When I explained to the General Manager Louie Costes and asked him why am I being targeted as an African American female, explaining to him that 3 Caucasian females were allowed to record while I was the ONLY one being harassed, he continued letting the 3 Caucasian women record while telling me I cannot! Louie Costers GM and The Beverly Hills Hotel are racist. Do not go to this restaurant Polo Lounge or this Hotel if you want to be treated with dignity and respect. The respect is not given to anyone that is African American. To add insult to injury the security apologized to the Caucasian couple due to me recording( (MYSELF) further disrespecting me as I committed some type of crime. Just do not go to this hotel or Polo Lounge they are extremely racist! Imagine thinking you’re going to have a relaxing breakfast and get the police called on you for recording Yourself! Disgusting behavior!

Really unfriendly customer service

The man at the front desk cancelled my reservation just as I arrived. I was shocked. I had booked the room on Expedia under a stage name I'm commonly known as, and he said he couldn't give me the room because it didn't match the name on my ID. I had so much proof I made the reservation: an email record, a credit card I paid with that matches my legal name, even a document showing I was about to legally change my name to the one on my reservation. I even logged into Expedia and changed the name on my reservation to the one on my ID card. It still was not enough for some reason and he couldn't even explain why. He just went back and forth a lot between "we can offer you a late checkin" and "the room is no longer available" until settling on the latter. What a stupid decision given he probably wasn't going to find someone else for the room that night and it was over $2,000. I then had to scramble to find another hotel last minute. He was so incredibly rude in not even being willing to explain why or talk to any of his colleagues or find a way to accommodate me. He scoffed at me and spoke with a patronizing tone. Seems like another condescending person just being awful for the sake of it.

Iconic Hotel with excellent service

Stayed in this hotel at the end of a two week trip across the Us from coast to coast. Due to my experience of the previous hotels during my trip was beginning to think that the US no longer sets the standards for good service however this hotel showed me that at least in LA good service is still a thing. The staff were friendly, polite and totally on it. The hotel itself was extremely comfortable, pleasant and simply a delight . The location was excellent and a pleasant walk from downtown Beverly Hills and just a short uber trip to mist destinations in LA. The outdoor pool was lovely and the Polo Lounge restaurant was delicious. I have come to the conclusion that there is something to be said for staying at Legacy hotels and will definitely be coming back for my next trip to LA
