Beautiful, relaxing, rejuvenating
One of the most relaxing stays that I’ve ever experienced. The check-in / check-out was so easy and fast, the customer service was impeccable (everyone was responsive, friendly, efficient, and effective), and the amenities were great. I loved all the pools and water features. The rooms were wonderfully clean and comfortable. Yet it’s also dog-friendly! (All the guests were responsible and considerate as well.) And the spa was just what I needed. Overall, this property is so beautiful and peaceful, I highly recommmend it to solo travelers and couples seeking an adults-only getaway. Looking forward to coming back in December!

Amazing 2 nights at alila Ventana
Surpassed all expectations. Stayed 2 nights and never left the property. Plenty to eat. Water fill stations. Great hiking right from our door. Amazing experience

Families with infants beware
Families beware. If you have a small infant, Alila will insist that you book a second room for your child, even though it isn't necessary, because they have a strict two people per room policy. One staff member suggested I leave my 6-week-old alone. Obviously, this is not safe. It is also a ridiculous charge. You can bring up to two dogs per room just fine. I can understand this rule for older children, but when an infant cannot be left alone safely, it feels incredibly burdensome.

Love this place- beautiful, top notch service, peaceful. We have visited Ventana on a number of occasions and always look forward to our next visit.

Wonderful Hotel
The location and setting couldn't be more relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and plan to go back. We'd would rank it five stars but the food is not up to par. Customer service was amazing. Also loved the fact that the pools, jacuzzi and Japanese bath areas are open 24/7.

Ventana was the perfect spot...this resort is easily one of the most romantic places in Big Sur. The on-site spa is relaxing and comforting - everyone is knowledgeable, skilled and highly professional. Ventana is luxurious, romantic and fun. We'll be back!
