Alila Fort Bishangarh

First of all, it was disgusting. The area was very bad. There is no hospital nearby, and the hotel staff was very very bad. They don’t know how to talk with Guest. Even the in Service was too slow. I ordered Maggi. It’s been over an hour. I called multiple times, but no one responded. And then, finally, they said they forgot to take the order—that’s the kind of staff they have. I am never suggesting anyone of my close friends to stay here

We had a truly wonderful and memorable stay at Alila Fort Bishangarh. A very special thank you to Santosh, Souvik, Gaurav, Sapna, Trilotama and Anisha for their warm hospitality, attentiveness and genuine care throughout our stay. Your smiles and thoughtful service made us feel incredibly welcomed. Our dining experience was equally delightful. A heartfelt thank you to Chef Hemant, Chef Rahul and Chef Pankaj for the delicious food, wonderful presentation and for going the extra mile to make our meals so enjoyable. Every meal was a pleasure. We would also like to appreciate Babulal and Utkarsh for their excellent assistance and friendly service. A special mention to our wonderful buggy team — Mahendra, Razzak and Jayram — who made getting around the fort so easy and enjoyable. Your cheerful attitude added to the experience. A very beautifully made fort, well maintained and a royal palace feel from every corner of the property. The fort illuminated at night and that was such a beautiful sight.

The property itself is beautiful, exceptionally well maintained and very clean, with a lovely ambience and attention to detail. The food was also excellent, and the overall appearance of the property was impressive. However, the service experience was unfortunately inconsistent and fell short of what one would expect from a property of this standard. The pre-check-in experience was particularly disappointing. Despite being advised to book experiences well in advance due to limited availability, we were repeatedly passed from one contact to another, with no one taking clear ownership of the arrangements. We did a few of the property’s experiences, some complimentary and one paid experience, “Daya Ki Rasoi.” Unfortunately, this experience was quite disappointing and did not live up to how it had been described to us. It was extremely hot, and although we were told that a small cooler would be arranged, it was never sent. The lady hosting the experience does cook good food, but the experience itself felt very awkward and uncomfortable. She largely remained seated in one corner while we ate, with very little interaction or engagement. Even more strangely, the property’s own driver went into the kitchen and served the food while the lady simply sat to the side. What should have been a fun, warm and lively experience of enjoying local food in a local home instead felt quite uncomfortable — almost as though we were expected to eat quickly and leave. This experience needs considerable improvement in terms of hospitality, interaction and overall presentation. During our stay, while the staff were generally polite and courteous, there was very little urgency or follow-through. We had to make multiple calls for basic requirements such as water, ice, buggy service and extra bedding. Requests were repeatedly passed between team members, with the next person often unaware of what had already been communicated. There was also a concerning safety issue with the hot tub. There was a sharp/pointed suction point towards the bottom-left side of the tub that was not visible because of the soap bubbles, and I nearly injured myself on it. More concerningly, when the staff member was preparing the hot tub for us, we were not warned about it or advised to be careful around that area. This is something the property should address immediately, as it could potentially cause a serious injury. Sounik from F&B was the one clear exception — he was responsive, took our concerns seriously and actually followed through after we raised the issues. Overall, the property has a lot going for it — it is beautiful, clean, well maintained and the food is excellent. However, the service coordination, accountability, attention to detail, experience curation and safety communication need significant improvement. With better ownership and execution across the team, the experience could truly match the quality of the property itself.

Our visit to Alila Fort Bishangarh was truly an amazing experience. The magnificent fort setting, beautiful ambience, exceptional food, and warm hospitality made our visit incredibly memorable. A special mention to Deep at Azara Restaurant, who was absolutely wonderful. His warmth, attentiveness, and genuine efforts to make our experience special really stood out. He was courteous, extremely helpful, and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our time at the restaurant. The special breakfast menu featuring a wonderful selection of local Rajasthani cuisine was one of the highlights of our visit. Everything was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. The food throughout our stay was amazing, with great flavours and attention to detail. And the Jalebi Rabri at dinner deserves a special mention — absolutely mouth-watering and easily one of the best we have ever had! It was the perfect indulgent treat and a definite highlight of our dining experience. Beyond the food, the entire hotel is spectacular. The beautifully restored fort, breathtaking surroundings, unique heritage character, and impeccable hospitality create an experience that is truly special. There is something magical about staying and dining within such a magnificent piece of history. A big thank you to Deep and the entire Alila Fort Bishangarh team for making our visit so memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxurious, authentic, and unforgettable Rajasthani heritage experience. Absolutely loved our visit and would definitely come back!
