Reviews for Montage Palmetto Bluff
If you are in Bluffton SC you have to check this resort out. It's free to get in. Very charming restaurants and sights to see. Upon arriving I felt like I was stepping back in time to the Great Gatsby, beautiful homes and small cottages, amazing Spanish oak trees with the moss draped all through them, small little white churches brick roads and gas flame street lamps. Absolutely breathtaking views of the marsh lands. Before leaving make sure to go to the River House Lodge where you can make your own S'mores. They offer different kinds of marshmallows , peppermint, banana, expresso, lemon etc. They will provide you with the long sticks the marshmallows, either dark or milk chocolate and two gram crackers. Try one or try them all! It's free! Very relaxing great for the kiddies. A wonderful gem this place is.

Arrived yesterday with family and friends. Reserved Village House No. 26. We are here for 4 nights. House 26 is a beautiful home and is one that can accommodate 10 people in our group. Unfortunately, two of the showers has shower curtains that are 2 inches ABOVE THE BATH Tub (see pics) where water comes out during shower and drench the floor. Called staff and let them know the first night we got here. Engineer/Maintenance came out and took pictures. Call again this AM to see when the curtains will be replaced and was told housekeeping will come out before noon to swap out the curtains. Back after pool around 1:30pm and curtains still not replaced. Called again and was told all the curtains are the same size and they "May Need To" go out and buy longer ones. This is what $2000 per night buys us?!?!? We have grandma and grand dad and you kids. All it takes is one one them to slip on the wet floor for the vacation to badly. Can't believe Montage operates in this manner. Housekeeping definitely does not care about the rooms. None of the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles are filled. Definitely not worth the money at this point. Maybe my opinion will change if they get the shower curtain issues resolved today (8/21/17). But right now we are not hopeful. It's too bad.
My husband asked me to renew our vows and this is where I'd like to do it! You can stay at the hotel or smaller clusters of rooms. We had a two bedroom villa, which was beautifully decorated and well made. Doors were solid wood! The rooms were far apart and had their own bathrooms, plus there was an additional bathroom off living room area. I loved bathrooms with their white cabinets, marble countertops and clawfoot tubs, classic. They are pet friendly! We brought 2 dogs and the hotel left 2 dog beds, bowls and bags to pick up after pets. Beds so comfortable that we bought one. You can rent golf cart to get around. We loved going into area where shops and restaurants were. Cute and quaint. Our kids had a blast on the bikes left for us to use. We hardly saw them. If you want to relax, there is a pool for adults only.

Although the prices are high, the experience is unforgettable. The staff is amazing and very quick to respond to every question or need. HIGHLY recommend! We are even going back in a few months. This would be a great place to go with children, as well!!
