Had a nice weekend at this place. Pretty grounds, comfortable casitas, friendly staff. Things to improve: - lose the formality. The "old South" vibe isn't making your brand more attractive. People on vacation want informality, not feeling like they're entering a rule driven Southern plantation. - add food to the beach club. We had to leave the beach to get something to eat! Bar was good, add food. Add a server who takes drink/food orders and delivers to beach chairs. - pool was way too warm. Cool it down. - don't book parties that start at 6 and kick people out of the club. We paid to be on the beach and in the pool until sunset. Didn't appreciate being asked to leave to make room for the family reunion you booked during my vacation I paid thousands for. - Add minibars to the rooms. Also put a few bottles of water in the fridge. For the prices you charge, these extras are expected, not frivolous expenses.

We really enjoyed our recent stay here. We stayed in cottage 48-3 and really liked our room. It was a standard twin but it had a large closet, safe, dresser, chest of drawers and a desk but it didn't feel crowded. It was in a good location directly across the street from the inn. It had nice bath supplies as well as insecticide towelettes (very handy). The hotel is one of the stately hotels out of the past. It is very comfortable and the staff tries to make you feel that way. While it is not on the beach, it has a beach club that is just a couple blocks away that you can walk to, drive to or have guest services shuttle you to. We would highly recommend it and would like to return for a longer visit. If you are a golfer, my husband said the greens at the course were in the best shape that he had played on in Florida for a long time.

Beautiful rooms and so many spaces to linger alone or with friends. It is a transporting experience to comfort and tranquility. My husband and I go at least yearly and want to more often. The golf course is beautiful as are the croquet courts. The beach is can walk it, drive it, or have the trolley transport you.

The essence of quiet understated elegance delivered by attentive well trained helpful staff that gives this a first class 5 star rating in every class. The rooms are old world comfortable roomy clean and quiet. The junior suite we recomend with a reading room and view. The restaurants were full of fresh creative sea food dishes served with all but the white gloves. Smiling down to the beach front, pools, bakery and gold carts to the Pink Elephant which is incredible for great dishes. Highly recomend the Pink's plate of the day each day.

I can't say enough about the Gasparilla Inn & Club. The attention to detail was beyond anything I could imagine. The mints for turn down service were in a little envelope with the Inn's picture on it, they put a bag of shells on our door handle before bed. It was our anniversary, so at dinner our menu's were personalized and then they gave them to us after we ordered. The golf course was superb. I always love it when the ladies'Tee boxes are as nice as the mens' and this did not disappoint! The beach club was really nice. They had a locker room and showers which was helpful since we had to check out of our hotel and then go to the beach club. We stayed after June 1st which meant that the men were not required to have a tie and jacket at dinner and we could go to the bar in shorts after 6 pm. You will not be disappointed if you stay here! We plan on going back for our anniversary next year!
