Reviews for The Gasparilla Inn & Club
We had been invited to visit Boca Grande by some of our friends, and were recommended to stay in the Gasparilla Inn. I am so pleased that we did as it was fantastic from start to finish. Check in was really easy and we soon settled in to our cottage room. The room had a small porch with a fridge and microwave, and a well proportioned bedroom and bathroom. There was also the most enormous sitting room, with comfortable sofas and reading lamps. The bed is one of the most comfortable that I have ever slept in. The Inn itself is furnished throughout in a very idiosyncratic style and there are lots of polished woods and vibrant fabrics. I highly recommend taking the tours which the Inn offers. We undertook the garden tour, the hotel tour and the kitchen tour. All were fascinating and delivered with passion by the staff members who work there. The kitchen tour in particular was excellent, as you have the chance to observe a working professional kitchen. We also visited the club by the beach, with its pool and sun loungers. This was a wonderful place to be, by the sea and with ample loungers and towels. We ate in the restaurant and had breakfast in the dining room and the food was excellent in both. We were so sad to leave, but will definitely return in future.

This hotel had a quiet elegant feeling like the grand hotels of old. A very leisurely pace, with a quietly efficient staff at your beckoned call. Tennis and golf on property, golf carts to transport you to nearby sites and restaurants. Room was a junior suite with sitting area, very bright and roomy. Be prepared to have a relaxing time here!

This historic hotel set in a sleepy very walkable village doesn’t do much if any advertising because they don’t have to. The service and elegance are from a bygone era where manners were the norm and not the exception. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. This hotel is the kind of place where the staff learns your name by the second day. You want to go for a bike ride, charter a boat, play golf, need a spa appointment all you need is ask and it’s accomplished. Audrene their concierge goes above and beyond the call of duty to make her guests feel welcome. The beach club attendants will find you a place to camp out for the day and bring you an umbrella. The restaurants are some of the most inventive and consistent we have found in this part of Florida. Remember it’s jackets only in the dining room during certain times of year. Yes this place is exclusive but that doesn’t mean it isn’t welcoming or accommodating. We have been here twice in the last month and will return again and again to this magical and beautiful inn.

We recently visited Gasparilla Inn & Club for the second time, this time bringing our children along. While I had always considered the inn a more adult-friendly environment, I quickly realized it is equally as wonderful for families. The staff continues to be extremely accommodating, as well as kind and happy. We appreciate that! I have Celiac Disease which makes traveling a little more difficult, and I usually need to plan quite a bit in advance for meals. The Inn was very accommodating and understood all of my dietary needs and requests. It is always so refreshing when kitchen and wait staff understand the severity of such an allergy, and I never got sick once from their meal preparations. We will be back for another stay soon. Thanks Gasparilla!

We were here for our friends’ wedding and I don’t think I could make a better recommendation for a place to be married (the wedding was actually down the road at the Boca Pass Club) however we stayed in one of the cottages and the rehearsal dinner was at the pool of the Inn. The amenities are excellent though the bathroom is quite small. The overall rooms are very large so I would have gladly traded some of the space for larger bathrooms. The whole Inn/resort is easy to navigate on foot or via golf cart. Staff are exceptionally helpful and the BZ bar has experienced bartenders to keep the juices flowing.
