We had a bungalow with a sea view. The bungalow was large and bright. Had a walk in wardrobe, with a large open shower and his and hers sinks. The views were fabulous from the room. The staff were very friendly, always said hello. There was one concierge a lady who always came over to say hello and ask how our stay was. The staff In the restaurant called us by name each evening. There was entertainment some evenings as you ate, all very enjoyable. There was an infinity pool that we went to one day. There was a pool man there to take care of you, sorting drinks, towels and food. The bungalow was kept very clean. Really enjoyed our stay, made to feel extremely welcome. Do take mosquito spray.

We took a lot of pictures because we just could not believe the beauty of the views all around us. We woke up to a beautiful sunrise every morning. I loved how you could open the wooden shutters in our room just a touch and watch the sun light up the room with a beautiful glow. On our way to breakfast we even saw a sting-ray just hanging out at the beach on a couple of mornings. When it did rain, only on a few occasions, we saw the most radiant rainbows, sometimes in the middle of a cloud, other times beaming up from the waters edge. The breakfasts were always a great start to our days and I used the gym frequently. The air conditioning was ice cold and it had all the equipment I needed. I cannot say enough about the staff. They all had a very pleasant disposition. What was remarkable was the caring nature of the staff. On one occasion one of the waitresses at lunch prepared an ice pack for my daughter who had a heat rash, another time a young man saved our water bottle we had left behind the day before and returned it on a tray with our drinks at lunch. I was also very impressed with a waitress who helped me retrieve a paddle for the SUPs when the guys at the hut had gone home due to the rain. Even though it was not her job! It was my last hour there and I wanted to make sure I tried the SUP. She seemed to understand. I found it easy to arrange our excursions with Ruita at the Concierge desk. I was worried about booking these ahead of time but it all seemed effortless when we booked them once we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Phillipe on the jet ski tour. He was a lot of fun, and he took our safety seriously, especially when a giant crab wondered out of his hole right in the middle of my path. I would follow him again any day. The swim with the sharks was AMAZING, we enjoyed our fearless leader who obviously loved swimming with the sea creatures. Parasailing was a different adventure but again showed us the beauty of our environment. Jean and Franck from Lagoon tours were very organized with pre-printed instructions and they knew the idiosyncrasies of the weather and made sure we did not go out in the middle of a rain shower. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the MaiKai restaurant because the staff at the concierge desk phoned ahead to let them know we were vegan. Jackson, the food supervisor always made sure we were well looked after at the Resort. He even arranged whatever we wanted to eat for the buffet on the night of the Polynesian show. We had a lot of embarrassing, and hilarious interactions with Mark at the front desk on our first night. We could not get the hang of how to open the lock on our bungalow door. Several people had to come and show us but finally one of the wise gentleman pointed out that we had to keep pulling the door towards us when turning the key. Ahhhh! Every night ended with a view of a plethora of stars in the sky. On our last night we saw two sting-rays speedily skimming along on the bottom of the ocean. What a beautiful salute to our wondrous stay at the Pearl Beach Resort and Spa.

Beautiful site, not far from the airport, lovely greeting. We stayed in an overwater bungalow and it was fabulous. Spent most our time in the water snorkelling - amazing visibility and wonderful variety of marine life in the coral gardens around the bungalows. Food was the same menu (a la Carte) every evening, didn’t find it that thrilling after two nights I had exhausted the choices and it would have been good to have had a ‘local dish’ every evening as an alternative.

The view from our Overwater Bungalow was spectacular and maybe the best on the island. We had the Bungalow towards the end of the boardwalk. The water surrounding the bungalows is crystal clear, shallow---not deep; allowing guests to walk, float or swim without worrying about currents or being carried out to sea. Glass top coffee table slides open and you can feed fish. Staff is super friendly. The only downside---all bungalows are ripe for a renovation.

My husband and I had a dream wedding and honeymoon at BBPB. The staff was outstanding! The resort has the perfect authentic Polynesian feel and was very quiet and secluded. The entire experience was absolutely amazing - the overwater bungalow, canoe breakfast, romantic dinner on the beach - it was like living in a movie! BBPB is a little piece of heaven on earth!
