We were staying on the mainland but came to BBPearl to have some treatments. This allows you to take the boat to the resort and use the beach and pool free for the day. What a wonderful feature as the property is just beautiful, calming and relaxing. We also had a nice lunch by the pool. The staff and surrounds of the Tavai Spa are just beautiful and peaceful. We had EXCELLENT traditional massages (twice) by Erena and William. LOvely, lovely day in paradise!

I can't write enough how amazing this resort is! The hotel is a true Polynesian gem on one of the most amazing islands in the world! We went for our honeymoon and did 3 nights in the garden bungalow and 3 nights in an overwater suite. It gave us a good variation in rooms but the overwater suite is something very very special and worth paying for! Service is excellent and most of the staff are Tahitians! Breakfast and restaurants are all better than we expected and the spa is one of the best in Bora Bora. We will back back...eventually!

I can not even express how much my husband and I loved every second of our time at Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort. From the second we arrived at the resort we were beyond amazed and overwhelmed with the amazing views, room, and staff! The Bungalow. Right off the bat, walking into our overwater bungalow, we were blown away by how nice, clean, and spacious it was. We had an amazing view and from what we could tell there was not any rooms that really had a bad view as they all looked out to the beautiful blue water and either onto the mountains of Bora Bora or the white sandy beaches. Really can not go wrong with either view. There are many windows in the floor, looking down into the amazing water so you can see the exotic fish swimming beneath your room. The Staff & Amenities. Staff was amazing! Everyone is genuinely friendly and wants to make sure you are having the best stay possible. Every day the cleaning staff would clean our room and provide waters and turn down service and every night we would come back to a flawless room which we loved so much! The first day we were given a bottle of champagne and an extra gift of a bottle of Tahitian wine which was so kind of the staff! Thomas, the manager of the Miki Miki bar and restaurant was awesome! Very social with those that wanted to chat and gave amazing recommendations not only on food and drinks and the bars and restaurants at Pearl Beach, but also gave us insights into the general area/life of Bora Bora. He also was flexible with the AMAZING happy hour and would let us try different drinks and wine selections for the buy one get one free deal they had every evening. Just a really nice guy who we appreciated so much. Loreline was also a staff member who was noticeably and genuinely very helpful and kind to us as well. The Resort, Amenities. The resort was incredible. Everything was flawless in our opinion with amazing views and so many activities. We had complimentary snorkeling (with coral nurseries surrounding the bungalows with so many fish), stand up paddleboards, and kayaks. There was always something to do. The spa was very relaxing, quiet and serene. The staff at the activity desk was so helpful. They would explain all of the different activities available outside of the resort and book for you whatever you wanted. We did the scooter around the main island and the boat transfer with a driver to meet us on the island to take us to the rentals was arranged flawlessly. We also did the half day shark & ray snorkeling excursion which was incredible and one of my favorite moments of our entire honeymoon. Even though that activity is not free, I highly recommend that excursion and spending the extra money as it is VERY well priced for what you get to do and how you are treated. I would not skip out on it as it was worth every penny. During this excursion we were taken around all of Bora Bora and shown almost all of the other resorts. I would say this solidified that Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort was by far one of the most beautiful resorts as it has the bluest, clearest, more shallow water (good for snorkeling, wading, and casual swimming). Food & Bar. We booked our honeymoon at Pearl Beach Resort through Costco Travel and we were SO HAPPY. They had amazing deals for the food during our stay through our package. We had complimentary buffet breakfast every morning which was amazing. So many food options and everything was delicious. We also had a 3 course meal for each of us every night for dinner that worked at all 3 of the restaurants. We were blown away at the amount and quality of food we were served each night and we have no complaints. Would highly recommend looking into Costco Travel when booking a honeymoon and would highly recommend all of the bars and restaurant options at Pearl Beach Resort. The drink options were also great at the Miki Miki bar during happy hour. So many exotic and fun tropical drinks for those who want to take full advantage of luxury island life and have a piƱa colada or two. Also a great wine selection as well. Over all, we could not recommend more highly a luxurious, relaxing, & fun resort for our honeymoon than Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort. We were overwhelmed & blown away with every moment and detail and we are so happy that we chose to stay at this wonderful island paradise. We will DEFINITELY be back someday. Thank you to the staff for their amazing service & for making our honeymoon an absolute dream.

The Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort was our third stop on our vacation of a lifetime. This is truly a bucket list destination and if you find yourself here, then you've been blessed. I would say that this resort is absolutely the perfect size, not too big, not too small. It is very authentic in its Polynesian feel. We stayed 3 nights in a beach bungalow and that wasn't enough time. Had we known in advance that this would be our favourite resort, we would have skipped the others. It was very close to the airport which was convenient, but without the airport traffic. Maybe a 10 minute transfer...it wasn't very long. Beach Bungalow - this was heaven. It had so much space and the outside courtyard in the back was sheltered and had a jacuzzi. The front looked right out to Mount Otemanu and had a walkout onto the beach. Our walk to the restaurants and pool were short. The outdoor bathroom was unique and a fun experience, we have not had that before. They do have mosquito nets over the beds but we never used them. We just opened up all the sliding windows and doors and the breeze came right through. Two improvements I would make to the room is to get rid of all the "snacks and drinks" they have in the fridge so that you have to order them if you want them. We certainly could have used the fridge to keep the drinks we brought with us cool. Instead, we had to keep a sink full of ice to put our drinks in. It worked out ok, however remember that the bathroom is outside and it gets hot, so that the ice melts quite quickly. Which brings me to the other room comment. You can't really leave your make-up outside by the sinks because things will melt, like lipstick and cover up sticks. This means that you have to leave them inside the bedroom section which is air conditioned. It is rather inconvenient to go back and forth through a door to get all your make up on. Also the front closet in your room is also outside in the courtyard area, not in your bedroom. Again, you have to walk outside to get anything you have hung up. But hey, it was unique and good grief, the view out the front was breathtaking every single time! We did happen to time the walk from end to the over water bungalows to the the restaurant one evening...just over 5 minutes. Our walk to the restaurant...1.5 minutes. The Grounds were spectacular and kept very clean. If we were there longer we may have taken in a round of mini golf. We brought our own snorkelling equipment and used it twice to go out to the coral nursery they are developing. It is definitely a good start and they do have many tropical fish that swim through and around it. Mostly we just sunbathed on the beach pinching ourselves that we were actually here and enjoying the incredible view. We also went on the Romantic Tour available on Saturday only which took us to swim with the sharks and stingrays...two different areas. It also took us to the coral garden and around the lagoon and ended with a meal on a motu, a full day excursion we recommend. We never actually went swimming in the resort pool, although it looked welcoming. Why would we when the beach is so perfect with its white sand and palm trees? Definitely best beach of all the resorts we visited. The only white sand beach that could possibly rival this is in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic where it is longer. Bora Bora wins for the crazy gorgeous water colours though. The gift shop at Pearl Beach had lots of nice items but were too pricey for us. Moorea and the Tahiti airport shops (past security) had the best prices. The Food. Breakfast was lovely. Fresh breads and pastries, fruits, meats, a hot station and a fresh egg and pancake station provided everything you could want for a breakfast. Coffee was hot, and it had plenty of juices as well. We had brought our own snacks and with us so we only had lunch at the bar the last day before we left as it was raining. Fries and burger were cooked perfectly. We ate in the bar area every night as the menu had much more variety and wasn't just seafood. The ambiance was nice, we could hear the live singers they had over by the pool. Risotto was good as was the pizza. (Main restaurant and sushi bar were mostly seafood...not big seafood fans) So glad that this resort turned the bar into a non seafood eatery. The waiters knew us by the 2nd night and also our room number. They were awesome. They kept our bread basket full! No complaints, just one suggestion. There seem to be many chickens running all over the islands, but you couldn't seem to find any on a plate, haha. Would it be to much trouble to ask to have a few more chicken items on the menu? All our resorts were lacking chicken dishes...so weird! Wanted to acknowledge that the staff gave us an amazing dessert cake brought to our room for our 25th wedding anniversary, it was a surprise and such a nice touch. Again the attention to details was outstanding! Thank you. It put this hotel over the top in our books. Little gestures make it great, More expensive places like Le Tahaa didn't do this for us and we spent our actual anniversary day there not at Pearl Beach. Yay Pearl Beach! One last issue that probably won't come up for many. We had travel problems with Air Tahiti Nui. We had to call collect back home to our insurance company. However, when we went to settle our bill at the resort, they said that the resort doesn't do collect calls. In fact French Polynesia is one of the only places in the world that doesn't process collect calls. That was a shocker because we were on hold (typical) for often 20minutes at a time trying to talk to an agent. The manager agreed to split the phone cost with us which were well over $300. This is just a heads up that even if who you are calling accepts your collect call, French Polynesia isn't set up that way. Again, this was our favourite resort out of our trip, it was better than Le Tahaa Resort and Spa in Tahaa, it had better views than the Manava Resort in Moorea, and the accommodation was better than the Intercontinental Tahiti. We would highly recommend the Beach Bungalows and if we ever are lucky enough to come here again, we would split our time between the beach bungalow and the overwater bungalow.

I have always wanted to stay in an overwater bungalow. It was amazing. We relaxed on the deck and snorkeled with the fish and rays. We had no problem with mosquitoes. It was absolutely beautiful with clear water. Just budget for the expensive food!
