I rented an over water bungalow that had the mountain view. It was awesome. Outdated but awesome. The service was superb and the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Being so remote made food a bit pricey but it was still pretty tasty. A quick boat shuttle to the main island gave an opportunity to go to town and explore the island. I love this location and very happy i chose it.

We stayed in an over water premium bungalow that looked out toward the mainland and the mountain which I think is about as good as the view gets which is awesome. The rooms are great with aircon and fans although at night we mostly opened the sliding doors and had the breeze come in with the fan and no aircon. We didn’t get any mozzies or othe insects in our room at all. The facilities are great with free non powered water gear like paddle boards, snorkels masks and fins, kayaks and outriggers also free. There is a table tennis table, pool table, tennis court and volleyball court also. The rooms are cleaned very well and there is a turn down service in the evening. We ate on the mainland two nights and would recommend the Yacht Club. Dining at the resort was mostly good especially lunch in the bar but breakfast was very disappointing and we had this included in our price. Often the bacon and other items were cold. The rostis were also cold and chewy and a poor excuse for a hash brown. I left my breakfast one morning and skipped it the next, such a shame as these things could be easily fixed, this changed my rating for a 5 to a 4 because for the price you pay to stay here these things should be done well all the time. I would definitely recommend the resort despite the breakfast, the excursions and activities are easily organised with the concierge and our overall experience was excellent.

Thanks to Teiva the manager, this trip has gone from an auspicious beginning to a wonderful ending. The resort is in a beautiful setting and they are working on building up coral gardens in the center of the overwater bungalows to add interest to the resort. The food is great both upstairs and at the beach bar. We have not tried the sushi restaurant but i understand it is also very good. The massages are great- the staff is extremely nice and friendly. Always greeting you with a smile. I understand they are doing some major updating over the next year which will bring this resort and its rooms back up to its original glory. They have free kayaks and paddle boards and snorkeling equipment on site which is a great addition to water fun.

This was our second visit to Pearl Beach and it did not disappoint us. Thirteen years later it was just as beautiful as ever the lagoon and beach unbelievably beautiful in our opinion photo's do not do it justice.

Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort is as close to perfect as you could imagine. It really is paradise. The beautiful lagoon, the sandy beach, the view of Otemanu mountain. All perfect. We booked an end of pontoon overwater hut, and I lost track of how many times we said WOW! It was beautiful. The room was spacious, well laid out, with a big bathroom, and the see-through glass coffee table is a great touch. Every night we watched the fish through the illuminated glass coffee table. Being at the end of pontoon, we never lost the sun. No other huts blocked our view. It’s undoubtedly the best for privacy. If I came back I would insist on our end of pontoon hut because I noticed some of the other huts were at an angle that you couldn’t see the sunset. We got lucky! The lagoon water here is about 4-5ft deep, depending how far you wade from your hut. We saw lots of marine life, especially lots of stingrays and even sharks. We saw a shark on all three days we stayed here. It literally swam by our hut! I’m glad we weren’t in the water at the time, although my wife assured me they’re harmless!!! Snorkeling gear is in the room, provided by the hotel free of charge. We used it every day. I can’t comment on the spa facilities as we didn’t use them. Breakfast at the hotel was pretty decent, comparable to what you would get in Hawaii. The usual buffet of bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, cheese, juice etc.... and for 7000 of the local currency (approx 65 euros) you can have breakfast brought to your room by boat. We chose this on one of our mornings. It was a lovely, if a little expensive, idea, very romantic. Lunch and dinner are also very good. There are three restaurants, and we thought the sushi restaurant was the clear winner. My wife thought it was the best sushi she has ever eaten...ever! The other two restaurants are pretty good too. Lots of fresh fish options. We didn’t use the swimming pool at the resort. It looked nice but why bother when you have the lagoon?! The beach itself is beautiful too, the sand here is so golden. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The weather was good too. No wind at all though, so when it’s hot it’s really hot. We would definitely go back to Bora Bora Pearl Resort again. My wife particularly loved it and wants the exact same holiday next year. Highly recommended!
