Battery Wharf Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts

Located in one of Boston's oldest neighborhoods, Battery Wharf Hotel is a collection of four buildings and offers a fresh and contemporary alternative to the city's more traditional hotels. With a smaller number of rooms, the hotel is more like a boutique urban retreat, evoking a residential feel. Guest chambers are designed to make the most of the waterfront location, while high-tech amenities are there for added convenience. The hotel is home to the AAA Four-Diamond Award-winning Sensing restaurant, an epicurean experience featuring a global menu of entrées that are creatively plated and prepared. Imbibing takes place in the Lobby Living Room, which sets the stage for conversation and impromptu toasts in a lounge-like setting.

Boston is one of the nation's most historic cities and with that comes a sense of pride. Battery Wharf Hotel is located in an area established some 300 years ago and the assortment of buildings have transitioned into urban waterfront dwellings and restaurants. Nearby are Boston's many attractions, including the Freedom Trail, the eclectic North End and the Rose Kennedy Greenway. As a guest of the hotel and the city, why not expand your boundaries and head to Fanuil Hall with its collection of shops and eateries or the Kennedy Library, which chronicles the life of one of the nation's most revered presidents. A stroll along the harbor or a day trip to Cambridge are just a few other alternatives worth exploring as well. Find yourself a unique New England retreat at Battery Wharf Hotel.

A dog barked across the hall all night of our stay and upon check-in the hotel team member was very short and snooty. Not friendly at all - a smile and being nice goes a long way. I was shocked and it left a bad taste in our mouths.

Formerly operated by Fairmont, this boutique hotel is comfortable and in a great location. The bed was superior, but the staff seemed a bit unsure of themselves. Thin walls allowed a crying baby to steal some of the serenity. The location is VERY good.

Hotel is VERY comfortable and in a great location. No longer managed by Fairmont, some taxi drivers didn't know it by its new name. Beds very comfortable. Had harbor view (extra $). Thin walls. Baby crying nearby. Love the North End. Would likely stay again.

Love this hotel and will stay there again. But on this stay, it was less than stellar. Problem was a bad bed. Management offered to move us but we didn't have the time or energy to repack. Next time, I will try the bed before unpacking!

Great location, excellent hotel with easy access to city and cafes. Loads of great restaurants within easy walking distance. Good size room, with clean and friendly staff. Staff were very willing to help with any problem.
