Located in one of Boston's oldest neighborhoods, Battery Wharf Hotel is a collection of four buildings and offers a fresh and contemporary alternative to the city's more traditional hotels. With a smaller number of rooms, the hotel is more like a boutique urban retreat, evoking a residential feel. Guest chambers are designed to make the most of the waterfront location, while high-tech amenities are there for added convenience. The hotel is home to the AAA Four-Diamond Award-winning Sensing restaurant, an epicurean experience featuring a global menu of entrées that are creatively plated and prepared. Imbibing takes place in the Lobby Living Room, which sets the stage for conversation and impromptu toasts in a lounge-like setting.

On this trip I was staying with my 78 year old mum so booked an accessible room. The hotel is made up of 3 buildings, our room being back outside across into building 2. The room was spacious enough, clean and comfortable. The only issues were operating the shower which had 2 controls both of which needed to be on to get the main shower head to work (totally unclear at the time especially with jet lag and tiredness). The bottom one was stuck. I had to go back outside (nice view for valet parking, me in just a robe). Front desk lady gave it one yank and it came on. My mum then tried to use the coffee machine but the instructions didn’t match the machine provided and the pods were too big. She only told me the day after as she assumed she was in the wrong. We didn’t bother reporting it. The gym & spa are in another building which I didn’t realise, didn’t make use of and it wasn’t mentioned on arrival. I ordered a package which was delivered 2 days before we arrived but couldn’t be located the day after our arrival and although following up it’s not clear what happened as it’s showing as delivered to the right address and I followed up with the company. We did eat at the restaurant on arrival for dinner and twice for breakfast and the food is fine but it’s lacking in atmosphere as we were one of the few tables.

Clean and comfortable hotel, friendly staff, great spa, and delicious food. The location is somehow both quiet and ultra convenient.. not sure how they pulled that off, but I loved my time there!

The rooms were lovely and we had a water view that was an extra bonus. The bed was fairly comfy, and the hotel location is great. There’s a fairly limited menu at the restaurant and the food was mediocre. There’s really not room service available. One night we ordered the popcorn on the room service menu and were told to try get it at the bar and after a lot of phone calls had 2 1 oz. Bags of popcorn delivered for about $20. They have an excellent fitness center available and the water taxi from the airport was fun…and well priced.

This was an anniversary trip. Some of the staff were rude. No ice in our building so had to go to the main desk. Had to wait for valet at checkout. Seemed irritated we asked for water. Room was nice but overall not worth the $$$$ we paid for 3 nights. Would not go back.

I visited the Battery Wharf Hotel for business meetings and found it has everything you could want in a hotel: friendly and helpful staff, VERY clean and comfortable rooms, perfect location with great views, top-notch food and perfect meeting rooms. Now I need to come back with my wife!!
