Battery Wharf Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts

Located in one of Boston's oldest neighborhoods, Battery Wharf Hotel is a collection of four buildings and offers a fresh and contemporary alternative to the city's more traditional hotels. With a smaller number of rooms, the hotel is more like a boutique urban retreat, evoking a residential feel. Guest chambers are designed to make the most of the waterfront location, while high-tech amenities are there for added convenience. The hotel is home to the AAA Four-Diamond Award-winning Sensing restaurant, an epicurean experience featuring a global menu of entrées that are creatively plated and prepared. Imbibing takes place in the Lobby Living Room, which sets the stage for conversation and impromptu toasts in a lounge-like setting.

Boston is one of the nation's most historic cities and with that comes a sense of pride. Battery Wharf Hotel is located in an area established some 300 years ago and the assortment of buildings have transitioned into urban waterfront dwellings and restaurants. Nearby are Boston's many attractions, including the Freedom Trail, the eclectic North End and the Rose Kennedy Greenway. As a guest of the hotel and the city, why not expand your boundaries and head to Fanuil Hall with its collection of shops and eateries or the Kennedy Library, which chronicles the life of one of the nation's most revered presidents. A stroll along the harbor or a day trip to Cambridge are just a few other alternatives worth exploring as well. Find yourself a unique New England retreat at Battery Wharf Hotel.

Yes, it's a terrific location but for the price there are much better hotels in the area. The hotel adjoins a condominium with the building. Even though it's separate management the staff caters to the condo owners. We had had multiple rooms/suite over a 10 period during the Tall Ship event. We were never greeted at the door, carried are own bags to the room. We had to buy tea, bottle water and sugar because they ran out. While the restaurant food was good (of what the had on remaining on the menu) it was grossly understaffed and management was non existent. Complimentary coffee runs out early because of the condo owner, so get there early. Front desk staff were nice but their real talent is in sales. They can tell you what you want to hear but can't back it up. After spending $12k+ they couldn't even correct an error on the bill. The rooms/suite are nice but tired. Housekeeping should be commended for doing a good job. I was told that ownership controls many Red Roof Inns. That explains the level of management and customer service. I go to Boston several times a year but I am not going back there.

We loved the location but the room smelled like it was very old.. I would find another hotel in the area.. The front desk folks were not inviting and the chap that helped us actually told us he was sick.

This was a very nice hotel and very comfortable bed, fluffy big towels. The location was amazing and especially when we were there during the Tall Ships, we could see all the ships from outside of the hotel. It was also close to the Market Halls and Little Italy.

Overcharged us for a shrimp cocktail. Was advertised as 12 and charged 22. Lame excuse when called out. She ran my card for the overcharged amount immediately after I demanded a correction to the ticket. Totally dishonest waitress outside. I could tell she was unhappy with the fact we did not order much food.

This hotel is of the finest in the North End. Located on Boston harbor in the very historic north end. 10 min walk to the Garden 5 min from the Liberty trail and Quincy market. Very luxurious rooms and accommodations. Staff super friendly and helpful
