A must stay
Great hotel and the staff was so friendly. Location is perfect and very quiet. Rooms are very high end with everything you could need .

Good Location, average experience
The hotel's main attraction is undoubtedly its location. The neighborhood is very pleasant and beautiful. The hotel itself is clearly old and in need of renovation. The room is a good size, but the shower and carpet are outdated. Unfortunately, the windows cannot be opened (at least not on the second floor), which means there's always a musty smell from the moment we arrive, as we can't air it out. The breakfast leaves much to be desired; it's expensive, very basic, and not at all welcoming.

SUCH A GEM!
Beautiful location, great hotel. The rooms are fresh and clean, and my room was a good size. The staff is wonderful. The views of the harbor are wonderful. I didn't eat in the cafe but heard good things. The lobby is pleasant and offers tons of lounging. You can walk from here through the North End, or along the waterfront, or to the Garden in minutes. I didn't require any services while I was there so I cannot comment on that; however my interactions with the staff were all positive. Parking is expensive but that's common in Boston. This is a quiet, peaceful hotel, not one for someone who wants a big personality. It worked for me; I will definitely be back.

Wonderful Boston experience
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location by the water. Very quiet and close to all north end sites and food. Very clean

Wish I could say it was excellent.
Location, staff, amenities were all excellent. Important parts of room like bathroom and bed are newer and excellent. Condition of some furniture was aged, the safety box didn't work, and you have to request a refrigerator, so not perfect, but I'd stay there again.
