Battery Wharf Hotel

Great location, but unfortunately not the restful stay we were hoping for. The Battery Wharf Hotel is in a beautiful location right on the waterfront and is very convenient for exploring Boston's North End. We were also able to get into our room early after getting off our cruise, which was a huge plus after traveling. Unfortunately, the noise was a major issue during our stay. We had construction noise during the day and significant street noise at night, including people yelling outside. We were paying around $400/night, so being unable to get a good night's sleep was pretty disappointing, especially after nearly two weeks of travel. We did ask if we could move rooms, but unfortunately that wasn't possible. The hotel did try to make things right by offering us a breakfast credit and providing a box fan, and we appreciated the effort. Unfortunately, those things didn't really solve the underlying noise problem. The room itself was comfortable and the property is attractive, but for the price, I expected a quieter and more relaxing experience. If you stay here, I would definitely recommend asking for a room away from construction and street noise. The location is excellent, and I think this could be a great hotel with a quieter room. For us, though, the noise made it difficult to justify the price.

Very modern and clean however the hotel is spread out across several buildings. It is in a lovely location by the water but can get quite windy. We were furthest away and on top floor which was inconvenient. Reception staff were not very helpful and provided little info about Boston. No water was provided. No complimentary breakfast tea only herbal and coffee in the room. However room was clean and the bed comfy. The local tax for the room here is quite high. Breakfast was expensive which we did not have so I cannot confirm the quality.

Great location and a nice view from out water view room. Bartender Patrick was awesome and really made the stay special.

AVOID AT ALL COST- do not give this hotel your business! They massively inflate weekend rates and have zero customer service. Was scheduled to stay in Saturday 9/27 with my family after spending a week in northern Maine. The large Nor’easter storm hit Boston and all flights out were cancelled. The earliest the airline was predicting getting my family out was Tuesday so I called the hotel to let them know we would not be coming. The receptionist completely understood but given the short notice said her manager would need to cancel the reservation since it was inside the 72hour window. I later received an email saying that my reservation would not be cancelled and I would still be charged the full room rate of almost $1000 for the night. I understand having someone no-show on a normal day but a huge dangerous storm should be an easy exception. Do Not Go Here!
