The Colonnade Hotel

The Facility was very clean. The Staff was phenomenal, especially Aiden at the desk and Norman at the door. Both went above and beyond the call of duty. Trolley stop was right outside the door. Lots of good restaurants within easy walk. Right across the Street from the Prudential Center. Lucie’s (in the lobby) was good-especially the Ribs- but the Hostess was much more interested in her phone than finding us a table. Definitely a good place to stay when in Boston.

We had read the TA reviews of this hotel, many of whom mentioned how good Norman is, who is the doorman at The Colonnade. What a man, Norman is exceptional, he is so knowledgeable and helpful. To provide an example Norman booked us a taxi to the airport for mid afternoon, when speaking to the driver who described Norman as the best doorman in Boston, he said he always turns up early as he doesn't want to let Norman down, the driver had received 2 texts from Norman in the morning to remind him to be on time. This is with a taxi driver Norman knows and trusts. Norman was keen we got a good impression of Boston, he is a wonderful ambassador for the city. We were so glad we stayed at this hotel, the room was excellent, location was perfect for us, the Prudential station on the green line is just outside the hotel making it easy to reach the key sights. For anyone travelling from the UK its just a tap in with your credit card, just like London, however the difference being your don't tap out. We were worried the first time we travelled as we didn't see somewhere to tap out and were concerned we would be fined, we spoke to somebody at the station who clarified its only tap in. We used the Thorntons Cafe for breakfasts, turn left out of the front door and its in the next block, just a couple of minutes away, we enjoyed our breakfasts, its what I would describe as a proper cafe. There is a Cheesecake Factory in the Prudential over the road with a wide choice of food. If you want a coffee where the locals go I suggest the Trident Booksellers in Newbury Street, its about 10-15 minutes away, this area is really nice to walk around. Norman is a hard act to follow but I also wanted to shout out Lilly, Mike V, Aidan and Denaile, all of which were really helpful and friendly during our stay. I'm not sure we will be lucky enough to return to Boston, if we do we would definitely stay at The Colannade.

The best Hotel we stayed in over our holiday, very nice staff ,food and bedroom was very quiet and comfortable room nice bathroom , near to centre of Boston nice area ,loved the city weather was good too thank you Lily Hicham very pleasant stay loved the room with coffee ,etc and snacks all free which is bonus .many thanks Kay & Russ , UK

Stayed at the Colonnade after our cruise. After arriving we were greeted by Norman the doorman who has hands down been the best part of our stay. He is so friendly, kind and takes pride in his work. He was fabulous in helping us tourists navigate the subway system and made sure we were in good spirits each time he saw us. Thank you so much Norman. We chose the hotel for its location to Fenway Park which was great for that. We were extremely disappointed to learn that the rooftop pool was closed for our stay which was important for the preteen traveller with us. We were not aware of this at booking (early spring) nor leading up to our stay. If we had known we would have changed to another hotel. The rooftop pool was something we were excited to experience. Our experience at the attached restaurant Luc!e for breakfast was very disappointing. The food was good (eggs benedict) but the service was lacking and decided not to have any future meals there despite the location. We enjoyed our time Boston.

Wow! What an hotel 👍 From the time we booked in to the sad day we checked out everyone & everything was first class. The room was not yet ready (which was to be expected as we arrived at 09:30 and checkout for departing guests was 11:00) but we could store our luggage in the safety of the lobby c/o Hicham, and treated to complimentary snacks from the key card access bar - pretzels, fig Newtons, Orios, apples, oranges, trail mix, coffee, tea hot chocolate and canned drinks- unheard of as far as complimentary treats over here. So much so that we feasted there for breakfast each morning- Thank You 👍 We were also treated to excellent service at Reception whenever we needed directions etc , to the point of even marking out on street maps where we needed to go, and explicit directions for trains. Our room on the 5th floor was well appointed and spacious complete with comfortable dressing gowns, luxury shampoo, body lotions etc. The room was made up daily and restocked. A big shout out to the housekeeper for room 506 (cannot remember her name regrettably but believe it could be Marianne) and to all on Reception Mike, Gabe, Michael, Aiden, Lily amongst others- a tribute to the professional way we were treated 👍🥳
