We were in Boston just overnight as our Son was trying out for American Idol the next day. We had such a great stay and what a fantastic location. The hotel was very nice & modern. The staff was incredible. Michael at the front desk made our stay amazing as I forgot a few essential items including a phone charger and he was able to even get that for me. He was a true ambassador of good will. The roof top pool and bar was also exceptional. They had a performer who along with the wait staff encouraged our Son to sing and he did. It was a good moral booster for him. Overall a fantastic hotel reasonably priced and amazingly accommodating.

I was in Colonnade for around 10 nights from 29th July to 9th August and had a pleasant stay. I was given a room on ninth floor which had a nice view. The services were spontaneous and the reception was courteous and was helpful, specially after they learnt that i was travelling from another corner of the world. Best part about the hotel is its location. Situated in the back-bay and just 5 minutes walking distance from the Copley Square, Public library, Boston Common park and just 10 minutes walking distance from Charles river, Beacon hill area. Add to it, there is a T-station (subway metro in Boston) just outside the hotel which made commuting really easy. The lifts were in good condition too. All said, I think the hotel is bit on the higher price range for what they offer and even But accommodation in Boston specially during summertime is on the higher side and all the similar hotels in this location cost the same. And if you are hungry there is Cheesecake Factory just opposite the road and whole lot of eateries in Copley square and Newburry street. In all, given an option, I would prefer to stay at this hotel again.

Great spot for getting around Boston - fairly quiet given that it's in the middle of the city, nicely appointed but not pretentious. Had great service from Michael at the front desk on 10/14, and one of the room attendants who set up a cot for our son. Will definitely come back and recommend.

The Colonnade is well-located in the Back Bay. Rooms are nicely appointed. The best thing though was the staff. Especially, Norman, the doorman who always greeted me with a smile. He clearly thinks of it as _his_ hotel and you as _his_ guest. He had ice water and a towel for me as I returned from morning runs. I'll be coming back because of him.

The room itself was ok. Some of the furniture had rather large chips in it and the carpet had a few marks on it. The bed was great and the staff were helpful. The location is great if you come in by train as it's a short walk. We loved Boston . This hotel was too expensive for what we got. Would only stay here again if it was cheaper!
