Superbly located in the heart of the city, this hotel imparts a "feelgood" ambience from the moment you arrive. An attractive facade leads to a delightful lobby decorated in a tasteful modern though traditional way. Public rooms are magnificent and our fourth floor room was beautiful, large very comfy bed, quality fixtures, fittings, linens, cosmetics. Contemporary bathroom, everywhere spotlessly clean. Not such a good view out of the window. We upgraded to "gold" which allowed us breakfast/afternoon canapes and anytime access to tea/coffee in the gold lounge which is a lovely room with two computers and printers which we found useful.. We thought this was good value. All the staff were friendly and helpful adding an extra quality to our stay in Boston. The service we received from Samantha Gill in the gold room was quite fantastic. The Fairmont exceeded our expectations - with flair and style.

I was in town for a conference, visited a few colleagues in different hotels around the city (the Parker House, the Park Plaza, etc.) and not a one of them was as nice as the Fairmont. Do yourself a favor stay here when you come to Boston and pet Carly for me.

I visited Boston for the first time and stayed at the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel for the weekend. First I must add if you take Amtrak it is a short walk to the hotel from the Back Bay Station every travelers dream not to travel far once you reach your destination. Although South St Station is only a 10 minute cab ride away. I love the location, walking distance to Park , Restaurants and the Rich history of the Freedom Trail and nearby Mall. The hotel Staff are extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel offers old world charm and from its 1912 restored Mosaic Tiles at the Grand entrance of the hotel to the Modern rooms. The rooms are large bright and offer several amenities in room (slippers, bathrobes, small fridge, safe). If you like big bathrooms I suggest you request a room with the larger bathrooms, most have walk in showers but also offer rooms with bathtub/shower. The hotel also offers a state of the art fitness center and great city views from the roof top. The Oak Long Bar with the copper top bar is a must to for a drink or enjoy dinner at the restaurant, the atmosphere is inviting and lively. I highly recommend this property for its history, location, modern rooms and welcoming staff.

We spent 3 nights at the Fairmont Copley Plaza with our daughter & son-in-law. I made the reservations on their web site back in May for a 1 Bedroom Suite & 1 JR Suite. I received the confirmation a few day later. I had put down the required deposit at the time I made the reservation knowing that there would be no refund if we did not make the trip. In July when I was putting our itinerary together for our trip and I noticed that the 1 bedroom Suite was not on the gold Floor. Realizing I had made a mistake I called Jonathan SA the Fairmont Gold Manager. He told me that there were only a few 1 bedroom Suites on the Gold floor (4th floor) and none were available at the time. I asked if I could get 2 JR Suites on the Gold floor. There was only one available and he offered me one on the Gold floor & would have the other room nearby on another floor with Gold floor privileges. I agreed and he told me there would be no additional charge. The day before we were leaving for Boston, I received an email from The Fairmont Copley Plaza asking me for our arrival time. In the past we arrive around 3pm which is the normal check in time. My daughter suggested that we leave early and make a full day of it in Boston. I called the Hotel and told them we expected to arrive around 11:00am, I was told they would try and have the rooms ready, but it really depends on when folks vacate their rooms. We arrived at11:00am, and not only were both rooms ready, they were both on the Gold floor. Jonathan Sa had arranged a Large Studio Suite with a Copley Square view from the windows. The Suite consisted of a large Living room with fireplace, a large bedroom, a large bathroom & large entrance foyer. It was a beautiful Suite with a view. They also sent us a bottle of Champaign for our 6oth anniversary. I believe this is an exceptional Hotel, I have been coming to this Hotel for over 40 years and never had a complaint during that time. They had a major renovation of the Hotel several years ago. I have found the staff to be outstanding. . Boston is a walking city and the Fairmont Copley Plasa is in the center of the nearby attractions and restaurants.

I stayed at the Fairmont Copley Plaza last weekend and was pleasantly surprised with all that it had to offer. First, the service we received from the moment we were greeted at the door by the doormen was warm and inviting. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with all our needs and went out of their way for us. The hotels itself is beautifully appointed with old world grandeur and historical artifacts throughout the hotel and it’s rich history. The rooms are very spacious, but depending on the room you are assigned the bathrooms may be small or large. If you pack a lot of toiletries you may want to request a room with a large bathroom and request a bathtub as not all rooms have one. The beds and linens are top notch and the amenities on the Fairmont gold level will not disappoint you. They have a nice gym that has everything you will need to get a good workout and there’s even a small rooftop you may go enjoy a lovely view from. If you have a chance to try the Oak room restaurant I highly recommend it, even if you just go in for a drink. If you enjoy old architecture then you will love this restaurant. It’s a feast for the eyes and your stomach. The food and beverages we had were so delicious. I wish I had another day to go back there again. We were told there used to be a merry go round in the restaurant back in the 40’s-50’s where the elite would sit and have lunch or dinner to see and be seen. Lots of great stories. There’s a picture in one of the hallways at the hotel where you can see what the merry go round looked like. Some of the old copper rails are still on the floor of the restaurant. The location is another great point. It’s 2 short blocks from the Amtrak station, one short block to a gigantic mall, a few blocks from the duck tours boarding point and walking distance to other historical sites within Boston. You really can’t go wrong with this hotel. Highly recommend it for business or leisure. They are family friendly too.
