Reviews for Fairmont Copley Plaza

All I can say is nothing can compare. The luxury, the warmth, and the heart were all there in equal proportions ❤️

Our stay at Fairmont Copley Plaza Gold was nothing short of remarkable, and it came at a time when we truly needed it. We arrived in Boston after a very difficult travel experience that included a last-minute flight cancellation, multiple rebookings, and losing the seats we had carefully selected. It was a stressful and exhausting start to what was meant to be a meaningful family trip. From the very first moment I connected with Khadija, the Fairmont Gold supervisor, days before the stay, everything changed. Her warmth, quick wit, calm reassurance, and genuine willingness to help immediately shifted the tone of our journey and made us feel at ease. Khadija is truly exceptional. Her empathy, attentiveness, and thoughtful sense of humor made us feel cared for not just as guests, but as people. She has a rare ability to be both highly professional and deeply human, and it made all the difference for us. Her manager, Leandro, clearly leads with the same heart and professionalism. The care and coordination from both of them were evident in every thoughtful detail throughout our stay. We were welcomed with a complimentary suite upgrade, and the view alone took our breath away. From our room, we had a spectacular view overlooking Trinity Church, Copley Square, and the Boston Public Library. Waking up and winding down each day with such iconic scenery felt incredibly special and grounding. Inside the hotel, every turn revealed timeless elegance. From the hallways to the common spaces, the property feels grand yet warm, refined yet inviting, a place where history and comfort coexist beautifully. I have always loved vintage charm, old-world elegance, and spaces that carry history, but above all, I am a big believer in humanity and kindness. The warmth shown to us made our hearts melt, especially in such stark contrast to the snowy Boston weather outside. We were also welcomed with a stunning dessert tower, champagne, and a Boston cream pie waiting for us after our first day of exploring. After everything we had been through, these gestures meant the world to us. We were deeply touched by the handwritten letters as well. In a world of automated messages, handwritten notes truly feel like a lost art, and we cherished them so much that we immediately secured them safely in our luggage so they would not be misplaced. The Fairmont Gold Lounge itself was a highlight of our stay. The daily spread was impeccable and absolutely delicious. The service was world-class, and we would especially like to recognize Gilbert from the Gold Lounge banquet staff. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made every visit to the lounge a pleasure. What stood out most was how valued and cared for we all felt, especially my mom. She had an absolute blast in Boston and during our stay, and the entire team was incredibly sweet and attentive to her. Seeing her enjoy herself so much made this experience even more meaningful for us. This team does not simply provide luxury, they provide heart. They truly live Fairmont’s promise to “Make Special Happen.” They turned a difficult beginning into one of the most beautiful travel experiences we will always remember. Leandro even took the time to recommend Rome itineraries for my fiancé and me for our upcoming honeymoon. If there is a Fairmont Gold or Fairmont-related property in Rome, we would book it without hesitation. We are incredibly grateful to Khadija, Leandro, Gilbert, and the entire Fairmont Gold team. This is hospitality done right. Saying we cannot wait to return is an understatement, and if our experience here is any indication of how Fairmont Gold operates worldwide, we truly look forward to experiencing more Fairmont properties across the globe. It's a stretch to think they'd still remember us when we come back but even if not, we'll never forget the kindness they've shown to us in our stay. Definitely stay with them if you find yourselves in Boston! 💕 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ P.S. If you notice that some of the photos of the dessert tower show a few treats already missing, that’s because I was so excited I started enjoying it before remembering to take a photo. It was just that good! Also gold lounge is big and the spread is different each day. Non alcoholic beverages are free and unlimited. We do not drink much alcohol and only drank the gift that they gave us but if you do want to unwind with spirits/alcohol at night, they have a wide variety available and will be charged to your room.

Always amazing

Whenever we come to Boston we stay at the Fairmont Gold floor. The perks of breakfast and canapés are worth it. This time we got the optional room upgrade and had the amazing one bedroom suite. We had a bedroom, living room, two closets and plenty of room. Great park view. The downside Was our bathroom was very cold. It was negative degrees outside. I als discovered our window was not locked. Once I engaged the lock it helped but it was still cold. The downside of the park view was the street noises. Honking by angry drivers and the back up sounds of the dump trucks and backhoes doing street snow cleanup following a huge storm. Bring ear plugs and a fan for white noise. Besides that Zee had a great time in this Grande Dame of hotels

The Fairmont Copley Plaza Saved Our Wedding!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

My husband and I were set to get married at a different venue in January of 2026 with a plan to have a luncheon afterwards at the Oak Long Bar in the hotel. Our venue ended up cancelling due to a blizzard. We called the Fairmont Copley Plaza when this happened - and our event manager Denise Haddad stepped up to help us out. She upgraded our hotel room to a suite overlooking the library to have our ceremony in and allowed us to take photos throughout the hotel. The room itself was spotless, beautifully decorated and perfect for hosting a ceremony. From start to finish, Denise and the staff at the Fairmont Copley Plaza were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to help us out. The hospitality this hotel provided was one of the best we have ever experienced. We cannot wait to book a room with them in the future - probably for our anniversary :)

Just OK for the price

Lobby is beautiful and staff friendly, kind and helpful. The room itself is average.I had to call for the mini fridge I requested before check in and had to also have a cot removed that was left behind. The room was very drafty/cold despite heat in. Freezing air was coming through the windows/ bathroom window. Right before we left the bathroom door knob fell off where I had to rescue my husband. Restaurant prices here are astronomical. Too high, even for this level/ type of hotel.

Another wonderful stay at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We've stayed at the Fairmont Boston many times over the years, and our December 2025 visit reminded us exactly why we keep coming back. This hotel consistently delivers warmth, comfort, and a sense of classic Boston charm that's hard to match. The holiday season at the Fairmont is magical. The moment we walked into the lobby, we were greeted with festive touches throughout the historic space. It immediately put us in the spirit and made the hotel feel like a cozy winter retreat. One of our favorite parts of every stay is Oak Long Bar + Kitchen, and this trip was no exception. Whether it's breakfast, a cocktail, or a late-night bite, the atmosphere is inviting and the food is always excellent. The bar gets quite busy, so plan accordingly. The hotel's location in Back Bay can't be beat. You're steps from Newbury Street shopping, the Boston Public Library, Copley Square, and an easy walk to the Public Garden. The rooms can run a little small & are a bit dated, but understandable for a historic property.
