Excellent hotel with few rooms for improvement
Our stay at the Fairmont Copley Plaza had many positives, including beautiful decor, rich historic character, and a prime location near Copley Square. The staff were generally friendly and accommodating, and the ambassador dog was a charming touch. That said, there were areas for improvement. Service at times felt more focused on lobby events than on hotel guests, and responses to questions were occasionally unclear or redirected rather than resolved. We also encountered a maintenance issue with a toilet that ran continuously without use, which was concerning. The room had a noticeable musty carpet smell upon returning, likely due to the building’s age. In addition, clearer communication around hotel policies and easier access to checking room charges or credits would improve the overall experience. Overall, a beautiful and historic property with strong potential, though attention to service consistency and maintenance details would enhance the stay. Oh ya, we were underwhelmed by the upgraded room so I don’t even want to imagine what the standard rooms would be like—come on it’s FAIRMONT! This is our 5th location stay including Canada, and expectation was very high. Human written!

The hotel is in a great location; we walked everywhere or took the T. The staff are great everyone is so friendly.

Gold floor recommendation
Perfect place to spend a few days. We stayed for Christmas- on the gold floor. The staff definitely went the extra mile to make it special. The room was spacious and comfortable, great location. Would definitely return

Don’t Promise Free Breakfast If It Isn’t Free
Booked the hotel on Expedia and it was supposed to include free breakfast. When my family went down in the morning, we were told there was no free breakfast, even though it was clearly stated in the booking documentation. After we pushed, they gave us a small voucher, but it covered maybe half the cost of their overpriced breakfast. Just felt low class and misleading.
