Fairmont Copley Plaza

After 2 weeks traveling in Europe, the fairmont was the perfect place to stay and get fully refreshed. 10/10 people working here, the food and location 10/10 as well.

I've stayed at this hotel twice for work, and I absolutely love it. The property is charming, elegant, and filled with thoughtful amenities, but what truly sets it apart is the exceptional staff. On this most recent visit, I accidentally booked the wrong arrival date and showed up a day early. The front desk team immediately stepped in and helped secure a room for me that night, making me feel genuinely valued and cared for. After my reservation was adjusted, an unexpected issue arose with my checkout date, creating uncertainty about whether I'd be able to stay through my actual departure. When I followed up, another front desk associate went above and beyond, working through the details to ensure I could remain at the Fairmont, and even stay in the same room for the duration of my trip. To call this outstanding customer service would be an understatement. The level of care, flexibility, and commitment to the guest experience was truly impressive. Combined with the excellent restaurant and bar, high-quality food, exceptional room service, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel, these experiences have made me a loyal guest. I look forward to staying at the Fairmont again and highly recommend it to anyone seeking both luxury accommodations and genuinely remarkable service.

I stayed at the Fairmont Copley Plaza for one night to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately it did not meet the standards I expect from the Fairmont brand. The only redeeming quality was the location — truly excellent and central to everything Boston has to offer. Everything else was a disappointment. The room felt much more like a 3-star hotel than a 5-star experience. The carpet, ceiling, and corners were visibly dirty, and I noticed what appeared to be cobwebs. I was so exhausted I didn't complain in the moment, but it's not the quality or value one should expect at this price point. The amenity bottles in the bathroom are another issue. I understand the sustainability argument for refillable dispensers, but it genuinely diminishes the luxury experience — especially when the hotel's own photos advertise individual Le Labo products. That discrepancy feels misleading. Service was also a letdown. No one offered to help with my luggage, and when I mentioned I was celebrating my birthday (which I had communicated in advance), the response from staff was completely indifferent. The lobby smells lovely, but the seating is worn and uncomfortable. The gym has potential, but the smell and the condition of the yoga mats (dirty and falling apart) were off-putting. Overall, the Fairmont name carries a certain promise that this property simply failed to deliver. For the price, you deserve much better — I would not recommend it nor return.

The Fairmont Copley in Boston is always a lovely stay. The rooms, while a bit small, are nicely done and the bathroom is spacious and well appointed. All the staff are so friendly and lovely in every encounter. The hotel itself is beautiful and you may get lucky and stay there while a wedding is on site which is a nice experience. And they have a dog! Cori the black lab is often there in the lobby waiting for a pat on the head or scratch behind the ear.
