Exquisite stay at the Lenox in Boston, starting with efficent check-in and ending with the best cookies I have ever tasted! PROS: --Excellent location in Back Bay (near Newbury street=shops & restaurants, walking distance to Charles River) --Extraordinary customer service! We had a FedEx package delivered a week before our stay and the front desk staff immediately handed it over when we checked in (I was fearing a look of confusion and a "let me see if I can find it" but not at the Lenox). --FIreplace in some rooms. Wood burning fireplace on a snowy Boston night, pure heaven. --Attention to detail from handy shampoo/conditioner dispensers in shower (no pesky little bottles & much friendlier to the environment) and actual toothbrush holders on the bathroom counter to warm water from the single faucet in the lobby bathroom on a cold day. Nice touch. --Hands down the best cookies you have ever eaten served with coffee/hot chocolate in the lobby. If you don't get your fill, buy some to bring home like we did. But get them early, they appear to sell out. --Corner room was HUGE. Comfy bed, large desk, chair with small foot rest for in front of the fire. Decent sized bathroom. CONS: --only one and I'm sure there was a reason for it--but when we were there it was zero degrees and the only doors available to outside were two on the side that were difficult to open in the wind and let lots of cold air into the lobby. Not sure why the entrance on the other side that didn't open directly in the lobby wasn't available instead? Highly recommend, wouldn't stay anywhere else

My husband and I planned a quick getaway for two nights over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend and the Lenox Hotel exceeded our expectations. The location is great, right next tot the beautiful Boston Public Library, and within walking distance to the Public Gardens, and the restaurants and shops on Boylston and Newbury Street. The staff is friendly and helpful, from the doorman and valets to the front desk staff. We watched the Patriots game at Solas, the Irish pub attached to the hotel, and the service there from the young man at the host stand and our waitress, was also exceptional. I wish I had asked for the names of more of the staff so I could mention them by name! When we arrived, a family with three little boys were checking in and I observed a super friendly doorman named Justin joking around with the the smallest boy and giving him a stuffed animal. In the elevator, the mom explained that they had left the little boy's favorite bear at home...I was so impressed by this nice gesture! Our room was lovely. Nicely furnished and very clean. The bathroom was a little small, but the water pressure of the shower was great. The closet was huge. One of my favorite things about the room was a glass water carafe which you can fill at a filtered water dispenser down the hall. Such a nice amenity! We look forward to returning.

Our stay was phenomenal. Location, accommodations and service can't be beat. The hotel has so much charm & the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel special. We had a room with a fireplace, which was a perfect touch during the bomb cyclone. I highly recommend the Lenox to everyone and I will always stay there when I am in Boston. D Jones

Surrounded by larger chain hotels in a location in the Back Bay that is a short walk to anything happening in Boston, this hotel is a real gem. The hotel retains the charm of old Boston, while providing all of the amenities one looks for in a luxury property. A signature scent greets you in the lobby where you will also find and inviting fireplace. City bar, bustling but intimate, serves up fabulous drinks and good bar food. And, there is no television in this bar to distract you from conversations. Solas, a casual Irish Pub is a busy spot where the locals mingle with tourists and the food, though not fancy. is excellent. Try the Shepard's Pie, the burger or the Cuban sandwtch with the house made chips. The staff is very helpful and efficient. One of my favorite spots in Boston

We stayed with family for a wedding during the Bomb Cyclone. The maintenance snow removal was continuous throughout the storm! The staff are friendly and happy to enjoy conversation. The doorman recommended the Atlantic Fish restaurant which was amazing! Turn down service every night. The hallways are dark with old antique style furnishings which suites the hotel. Very clean. Close to shopping and many restaurants. Enjoyed the bar and restaurant within the Lenox. I would recommend this hotel.
