On a prior trip to Boston, we noticed this grand old hotel nestled in this popular neighborhood for business travelers and tourists. Only one block from the subway and city bus stops, and one of the Trolley stops is at Trinity Church. Malls and quaint neighborhood shops make the location inviting. The hotel has received tender care, and the lobby is comforting and cozy. The staff is welcoming and eager to assist. Our room was "smallish" but not cramped. Two queen beds and a desk allowed for our comfort. Only one chair at the desk - two cushioned stools are tucked under the desk because of limited space. The bathroom was small but not objectionable. Beds were comfortable and the shower was nice with almost instant hot water, and we were on the 9th floor. The bar, located off the main lobby, is lovely. The restaurant has quality items on the menu, and the service is average - slow if there is a crowd. Two elevators can cause a wait during busy check-in or check-out periods. The overall appreciation for this hotel is its charm and grace. You can expect to be pampered from the moment you arrive. The Bell Captain and the staff promptly get you inside, and the check-in is prompt. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great boutique style hotel in perfect location, literally next to the finish line of Boston marathon and the main shopping area. Lovely finishing touches such as complimentary afternoon snack, tea, coffee and water. Staff very friendly and rooms clean and homely. Would definitely return

This is, without a doubt, one of the nicest hotels I have ever visited. I did a lot of research regarding where to stay for my first trip to Boston, and this was really the perfect location. We were able to walk to most places and things we wanted to see. The hotel itself is very classy and charming. The aesthetic is the complete opposite of modern, but it works and doesn't feel dated. The staff were great with children.
