Reviews for St Julien Hotel & Spa
The St Julien is one of those world class hotels you hope you get to stay in. Located close to the Boulder Mall you can walk, bike or hike until your heart's content. Or explore many of the wonder restaurants or shops that are an easy walk away. The views of the mountains and flatirons are great, see if you can get a room with a view of them.. The lobby has a nice lounging area with bar service. It smells wonderful and the giant fireplace is perfect on a winter day. The associated restaurant, Jill's, is ok. The Sunnday brunch is great but overall the menu is so so. I've stayed at the hotel countless times and each experience is special. The only negative was a very noisy party in the lobby on one of my stays.

We stayed here the day we booked it- it was super last minute as we were planning on staying somewhere else but it fell through. This hotel is negociatable and we were able to talk the price down. Its very clean and charming. We wanted to hike the mountains and they took us in their van to the trails. Super clean and nice. They also were able to take us to the bus stop to go back to Denver. The pool is nice as well as the hot tub. The concierge people are very nice and helpful. The food is great. The hotel is smaller than expected, and rooms were small as well.

Amazing good choices and terrific service. Loved all the unusual choices like Duck Breast and Spanish Piella along with Prime Rib, Salmon and Dover Sole. A 5 Star experience all around. The dessert table had too many choice and everything was delicious. You can tell they take pride in every dish that is put out on display.

The St Julien Hotel and Spa was a wonderful choice for us for a 4 day getaway this past weekend. The pro's are many: Excellent location with "stone's throw " access to biking and hiking. Also easy access to Pearl Street Mall, less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel offers complimentary use of cruiser style bikes for use on the many local bike paths but one can rent as well from a bike shop within walking distance. The rooms are lovely. Comfortable beds and bedding. Very nicely appointed bathrooms with plenty of light (and magnified makeup mirrors , thank you) and nice amenities. Loved the soaking tub!! Beautiful grounds and outdoor area with gazebo for early evening live music. The staff members were all courteous, professional, and helpful. The valet parking attendants/door men incredibly so. Worth a special mention is Catherine at the concierge desk who answered , in great detail, the emails I wrote prior to our trip and who assisted us with everything from restaurant reservations, to hiking recommendations, to advising how best to drive to the national park in order to get a view of the continental divide as part of the experience. She was wonderful. So, to the cons: Water pressure issues in those gorgeous tiled shower stalls. Pressure would cycle on and off every time. It needs to be addressed and made better. Housekeeping was a little spotty. Rooms were cleaned adequately but one of the days we were there our room was not restocked with adequate supplies, robes were not replaced, and turn down service was completely missed on one of the evenings. To the credit of the housekeeping staff, when I called to point out that things were not right there was an attempt to make it better and an apology. But for a luxury hotel , I don't think I should have had to make 2 calls during a 4 day stay. The only other con had to do with T-Zero, the bar at the hotel. Happy Hour drink cocktails were not very good and service was very, very slow. I wish there were a rating between 4 and 5 I could give as a review. The hotel just misses on the 5 but is more than very good. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and will recommend to everyone I know if their travel plans include Boulder.

The amazing team at St Julien have created an incredible guest experience that is 100% focused on the needs and desires of the guest. We had a great weekend resting and relaxing in this beautiful location. It was truly a local treasure that meets the needs and ticks the boxes on the most discriminating traveler. From the food, to the cocktails, to the rooms to the linens, to the coffee - it is ALL an over-the-top experience that changes the way you look at every hotel stay from this point forward. It's a new standard in luxury, guest attention, location, and experience. The location is in the HEART of Boulder - the best food, beverage, and nightlife. Not to mention the proximity to trails for hiking, biking, and soaking up the foothills of the rockies. Can't wait to return to the St. Julien - will be one of those stays we talk about for our life.
