Big hotel that looks vaugely like a French chateau but that were the similarity ends. No personal touch. Its a big hotel, reasonably well run, but from 'our quiet room' we could hear our neighbours flossing their teeth!! The staff were good but overall a bit too impersonal. The restuarants were serving set post valentines meals which was disappointing. The winery tour was poor. The guide didn't know much about wine. Overall an American experience.

We were just passing through the area, but we’re really impressed with this beautiful property. Looks like it would be perfect venue for weddings, couples trips, girls trips, or just a getaway from the big city. Rooms were lovely & the comfortable soaking tub in our room was a bonus. Service was very good.

We love staying at Chateau Elan! We have stayed multiple times and will be staying again for our 10 year wedding anniversary in the fall. We have always had fantastic service and beautiful accommodations. We recommend this hotel to all of our friends and family! The rooms are a great size and the bathroom is well appointed. There are so many things to do on the grounds that you don't have to leave if you don't want to. If you do, it's always a short drive to the Mall of Georgia. I couldn't recommend staying here enough!

I was lucky enough to attend a work function at this location. I assisted in the planning of the meeting and the staff were fantastic to work with. Very accommodating and always very helpful, even when we made many changes to the meeting needs. The grounds are beautiful and upon our arrival, they opened the doors for us. I mean literally opened the doors! Even though we were only there for a few days, it was as if I forgot how to open a door! Everyone is very welcoming and kind. The rooms were very nice and I was lucky to have a great view of the pool. It was unfortunate we arrived in January and could not use the pool but it was beautiful. There is also a huge hot tub and outdoor fireplace. The conference center is very nice and I enjoyed taking my computer to the atrium to finish up work as I people watched. Although I stayed while on a work trip, it completely felt like a vacation. It was very relaxing and I enjoyed my time here. There were several fireplaces to sit by and just have a conversation with peers and since our group was large, it was enjoyable to have several people come and go as we talked. There are several places to eat while you stay here so don't miss out on spending time at all of the places to enjoy. The food and wine are fantastic! The staff were so nice and helpful answering any questions and making sure our needs were met! Do no miss out on making a stop here!

A French Chateau in small town Braselton Georgia a hidden treasure. As we drove in the well-manicured grounds I was transported away by the beautiful European landscape.I felt like we had driven out of the country. It took us one hour from where we were staying to get there. It was our last day in Georgia, we were was for looking for something interesting to do. So off went to visit the Chateau Elan. We went there for wine tasting $25.00 at Cellar Door. No reservation is required if your party is less than 12 people. We tasted eight wines. There are four wine tasting packages to chose from. Southern Fox, Americano, and two Old world choices. We chose the Old-World that included three whites, a rose, and three reds wines. I was the designated driver, so I mostly tasted not drink.(sad) My partners were a bit tipsy when we were leaving from dinking my portions and theirs. Some wines were great and some we didn't like, all part of the wine tasting experience. If you sign up and send a picture of your favorite wine to the designated telephone number, you can get a taste of the of the Mameli a robust Italian wine that is considered the masterpiece of the winemaker. Also, there is a chateau grandeur tour which we did not take (next time) that gives a guided tour of the winery production, facility, and vineyards. With that tour you get to taste eight pre-selected wines with cheeses and food; reservations required. No pushy sales people making us feel obligated to buy their wines. The tasting room was open, airy and friendly with lots of nick nacks wines and other stuff on shelves. Although we did not purchase a tour we were able to walk around and see the wine vats and storage. The only thing I felt was missing was just a little info on the Chateau and the restaurant in the tasting room. Looking forward to going back earlier in the day to be able to stroll the grounds and enjoy the beauty in the daylight. By the time we had our second pouring it was night time.
