I booked 4 rooms and a spa suite in May for the Nov 14 weekend. I paid it full through American Express travel. ON Nov 13th at 5pm, I was informed about the 2 room cancellation, I called the Chateau who directed me to called Am Ex, who in turn called the Chateau and was not given any helpful suggestions nor offered any reparations for the unprofessionalism. I called the Chateau back and waited for >40 minutes on hold to be told the Hampton Inn would accommodate us BUT I would need to call myself and book those rooms (they refused to connect me or help with this process). When I called the Hampton Inn they responded that there was NO availability for the night of Nov 14th and suggested I call back the next morning to "check" for any cancellations. I spent 3 hours on the phone attempting to rectify this issue before we had 11 women fly to ATL, drive 70 minutes, and be lied to about plumbing issues when it was clearly a matter of deprioritizing our reservation made >5 months in advance. When 11 women arrived for early check in (which is a perk of iReward Gold member status), we were told to "go have lunch" and give them time to get the rooms ready. When we returned, 2 MORE rooms were cancelled as we observed MANY athletes being checked in. The "plumbing issue" was changed to an "overbooked" issue thought we booked >5 months in advance. We were told that the Manager was "not available" and that there was nothing that they could do for us. Eventually, after 3 hours of wasted time explaining our situation and demanding to be accommodated, the charges for 4 rooms were written off but 8 women had to check in and out of the Hampton Inn that night, significantly disrupting the relaxing spa day we had planned for Saturday. When we sought resolution, we spoke with your manager, Iffy, whose dismissive and condescending demeanor only added to our frustration. This explanation and treatment were simply unacceptable. While the overall experience was distressing and unprofessional, I do wish to acknowledge Stacey who demonstrated genuine hospitality.

I am not sure how to start this so I will just list the items my group of friends had exception to. When checking in at the restaurant, they didn’t seem to know what to do with the 6 friends or where to sit us. I don’t think they were prepared. When we did get seated, there was a very long lapse before the attendant came out to begin. (Service was very slow.) The loose tea was in glass canisters that some of the teas were not labeled. She began by passing each canister one by one and told the group to spell them. (It was very unsanitary.) Each individual having their nose in the canister. After that process, we were ask what tea we would like to have. (She did explain how the tea needs to set. ). One of our group asked for honey and it came out after we ate. Just this process took very long and there were other people who were waiting. Champagne came out after asking numerous times to please bring it out. The food was very bad. . Sandwich bread had became hard from sitting out. .Taste was poor. .one of the girls had lobster shells in her small sandwich. .we had to ask for more jelly and cream which took forever to be delivered to the table. Table settings look like they had been bought at Dollar Tree. Other tables had pretty settings. No flowers on the table. This list could go on but I think you can understand our disappointment with the tea we were served. There were 6 women. Four paid $81 and the other two paid $112. (So, in total we paid $548 for absolutely nothing.) We could have had steak dinners for the amount we paid. I drove from South Carolina and the others drove at least 45 minutes to have an afternoon ruined. I don’t know if you were understaffed but something needs to be done.

We booked a long weekend for our anniversary. They cancelled our booking last minute. They called and said they had a big group coming in and could not honor our reservation. Don't Go!

Great for a day, weekend, or business event. Beautiful grounds, winery, hotel, and meeting facilities. The staff was absolutely fantastic! I have already suggested that my friends and co-workers make plans to visit!

Lonnie the bellhop was so helpful! Greeted our group immediately upon arrival and gave us the ins and outs of the resort. A true gentleman! Made our stay unforgettable!
