Chateau Elan Winery & Resort

My 3-day, 2-night stay at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort was nothing short of exceptional—and honestly, far beyond what I expected after reading some of the harsh reviews online. I’m so glad I didn’t let those opinions sway me, because my experience was truly one of the best I’ve had. From the moment I arrived (at 11 PM, no less), the level of service set the tone. The gentleman at the front desk for the spa hotel rooms went above and beyond—he actually came outside, showed me exactly where to park, and without hesitation helped unload my luggage and took it to my room. I didn’t even have to ask. After a long day of travel, that level of care meant everything, and I was so grateful. The next morning, I started my day at the spa, and again, the staff made such a difference. The two team members at the front desk were incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming—even with all my questions. I also took a meditative stretch class, which I highly recommend. It was peaceful, grounding, and honestly one of the most memorable parts of my trip. The highlight of my entire stay, though, was my 50-minute hot stone massage with Dawn. She is truly gifted. Not only is she incredibly sweet, but her technique was amazing—it was easily one of the best massages I’ve ever had in my life. If you’re booking a massage here, I HIGHLY recommend requesting her. You will not regret it. For lunch, I kept it simple but satisfying—a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and a crab cake on the side. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and very filling. My server, who was also managing hosting duties, was attentive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed without ever feeling rushed. Getting around the property was seamless thanks to the shuttle service. The driver was kind and prompt, picking me up and taking me between the spa and the main building with ease. One thing I especially appreciated as a solo traveler was how comfortable and welcomed I felt throughout my stay. I booked two wine tastings, and Dahlia was my guide—she was so sweet, knowledgeable, and made the experience feel personal and relaxed. She created such a warm, inviting atmosphere that made it easy to fully enjoy the tastings. To end the day, I had dinner at Marc Bar & Restaurant. I ordered the shrimp cocktail and a ribeye steak with a loaded baked potato—everything was well-prepared and satisfying, a great way to wind down the evening. Overall, every single staff member I encountered was exceptional—kind, accommodating, and genuinely friendly. That’s what truly made this stay stand out. Despite what some reviews may say, my experience was luxurious, relaxing, and memorable from start to finish. I would absolutely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, upscale getaway—especially if you’re traveling solo and want to feel taken care of.

Chateau Elan is a beautiful resort that just needs better service (and a clean up!). We had no working phone in our room (security concern which was not addressed after we mentioned twice to the front desk), we had extremely loud guests in the room next to us which was not addressed by the hotel (mentioned twice and we weren't moved rooms) and there was no soap or towels in our room. We needed to go to the pool to get towels to shower and use bar soap since none was in the shower. The wine tasting was absolutely wonderful though and a highlight of our trip - definitely recommend if you are there! Marc restaurant the food was delicious but service was absolutely abysmal - took almost 2 hours with one dish missing, no manager came over until we asked multiple times. Lastly, we walked around the winery patio area at 9am the next day and there was trash absolutely everywhere, wine glasses and was disgusting and not clean whatsoever. We thankfully got a credit on our bill so it was addressed when we checked out. Chateau Elan is a beautiful resort but really needs to work some things out before we would ever go back.

We had a group of 21 attend our annual sales meeting this year at the Chateau. Felicia Garris, the Conference Services Manager whom with I worked to plan the event, was extremely helpful, especially as we had last minute changes. Bil Folger of the AV team was a hero helping me with all the tech needs that came up during our meeting. Stephen Sowards, Managing Director, stepped in to help us make our event a true success, also assisting us to experience a private wine tasting enjoyed by all. Austin, one of the shuttle drivers, went above and beyond with his service, helping our team getting back and forth from the Villas. Overall the Trakka Team had a great experience at the Chateau Elan!

My trip was wonderful. The front desk at the hotel provided a complimentary bottle for me and my daughter upon arrival and provided us a card for a 2nd complimentary bottle free of charge due to our wine tour/tasting being moved one day. We were even provided late checkout free of charge. I cannot express how appreciate we were for the great service. We enjoyed all of the amenities and food at the restaurants on sight. The staff everywhere we went provided exceptional service going above and beyond every step of the way. Dahlia was amazing on our wine tour/tasting. She provided great knowledge and fast and kept everyone entertained. I always have a great time every time I come here and will definitely continue to be a returning a guest and recommend everyone to come and visit as well.

Hannah was absolutely amazing during our tour! She was full of personality & a wealth of knowledge. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! We can’t wait to visit again.
